    Based on the permitted MCCs, am I correct in understanding that there is no distinction between Café Choice and Restaurant Choice in their widely acceptable use? Are there simply too many card choices, or am I overlooking something?

    The first restaurant choice gift card I received it within 10 minutes. Then bought another one and didn’t get it which was over a few hours and then I cancelled it. Then bought another one and waited over night and it didn’t come then cancelled it then bought another one couple of hours ago and still didn’t come . I don’t know what’s going on as it’s not even being sent

      Pretty much, but caveats apply.

      The Restaurant Choice (and Café Choice) gift card is a prepaid Visa gift card permitted at the following Merchant Category Codes (MCCs):

      • Hotels, Caterers (MCC 5811)
      • Eating Places and Restaurants (MCC 5812)
      • Drinking Places (MCC 5813)
      • Fast Food Restaurants (MCC 5814)
      • Motels & Resorts, Central Merchant (MCC 7011)
      • Amusement Parks, Circuses, Carnivals, and Fortune Tellers (MCC 7996).

      These MCCs are broad enough to capture nearly all restaurants and cafés in Australia, but there may be occasions where you will be unable to redeem a Restaurant Choice gift card. For example:

      • A restaurant can choose to refuse a Restaurant Choice gift card as a payment method. For example, if you place an order through a restaurant’s website (e.g. by scanning a QR code on the table and ordering from your smartphone), you may find your Restaurant Choice gift card is rejected at the online checkout for security reasons. I ran into this issue once, where a restaurant’s website required all cards being used to support 3-D Secure (presumably in an effort to reduce exposure to fraud). Prepaid gift cards are unable to support 3-D Secure, so I kept on getting a security check failed error on the payment screen when I was trying to use a prepaid Visa gift card as a payment method.

      • A restaurant or café you go to may be unexpectedly assigned an MCC that is not permitted on the Restaurant Choice gift card (e.g. Bakeries (MCC 5462)).

    I want to order the Temple and Webster gift cards, as i found a product on their website to purchase for $600.

    When i add the gift cards to purchase, a 10% discount is not applied at amazon?

      I just attempted checking out with $600 worth of Template and Webster gift cards, and the 10% discount was not applied until the very last step of the checkout process (after you confirm the payment method you want to use to pay for the gift cards).
