  • Why not a 5600 instead of 5500+AK400?

    • +2

Trying to keep the cost as low as possible for the best value on 1080P gaming, but can definitely keep that in mind if there is more demand on 5600. Previously our RTX 4060 system with the 5500 did awesome, but of course, demands change all the time!

    • Extra $150 for 7500f build so I guess this is just a budget option

  • is 8gb VRAM a bad idea in 2024 for a casual gamer?

    • I really think it's enough for 1080P gaming, NVIDIA 40 series DLSS AI frame generation support is phenomenal. I think this whole argument of VRAM has a lot more to it than just VRAM, of course, that's only my opinion and everyone's use case is different. The general answer is if you're doing 1080P gaming and playing DLSS supported games, the 4060 would be a good choice!

      • With the 4060 being a great choice but on the lower end of graphics cards, I'm curious as to why you didn't go for an AMD GPU?

        • +8

We provide a comprehensive return to base three-year warranty and lifetime support, our dabbles in AMD GPUs, unfortunately, haven't been the best and we want our customers to have the best experience possible. I understand that they are awesome for the price to performance but the after-sales support in relation to stability, drivers, heat and more has really been problematic for us and it doesn't align with our quality promise. I'm not saying all AMD GPUs are like this, we are building and shipping dozens daily and inevitably with a larger sample space the likelihood of problems are more prevalent. Without a doubt some AMD GPU SKUs have been fantastic.

          • +1

@Nebula PC: Interesting. Have you found similar stability/driver/support issues with AMD CPUs and chipsets?

Obligatory note regarding the Aigo PSU as discussed in a deal from last month

    DYOR

  • I'm keen to know the current wait times for this build and 4080 builds with a few customisations

    • Everything on track for 7-10 business days at this stage :), swamped with work but still pumping them out! All components are in stock, they just need to be built by hand meticulously.

  • +4

Just wanna post my experience here - contacted Nebula PC a couple weeks ago regarding a custom mini-ITX PC build with a few parameters (how much RAM, storage, how powerful of a CPU and GPU I'm after, etc).

Lawrence got back to me very quickly with a config (his first reply to me was around 12am Sydney time!!) and was incredibly responsive and helpful.

I received the PC last week and it is absolutely fantastic, runs very well with no issues. Plays games and does productivity tasks like a dream. Took a peek inside the PC as well (took the side panel off) and it's very nicely cable managed as well.

I hopefully shouldn't need a new PC for quite some time, but next time around I'm 100% coming to Nebula again :)

    • Out of curiosity, what case are you using?

      • +1

Lian-Li A4-H2O on Lawrence's recommendation .. really bloody nice case to be honest

        • What are the general specifications of your PC? I am really curious.

            • @dm02: Ohh that looks pretty good! What was the cost of the whole PC?

              • +1

@NotReallyaMoneySaver: $3449, which admittedly is pricey, but ITX parts are more expensive so it makes sense - as well as the fact that they needed to order the parts in for me

For the specs and form-factor it was worth every cent for me (I really need a SFF computer as I don't have a lot of space and I can't put it under my desk)

                • @dm02: A little pricy for me but not a bad price at all! Glad to see you're enjoying the system and your experiences. I'll make sure to keep Nebula PC in mind when I'm looking for a new PC.

    • +4

Haha thanks legend! You've been an awesome customer, I'm glad everything is working as expected :).

The Lian Li A4 H2O has been super popular for our custom ITX builds, really nice functional case without the silliness of others. Awesome airflow also!

      • +1

Yeah, the Intel NUC Extreme that I had before would get so hot (upwards of 100+C per HWiNFO) when playing games or even just watching YouTube videos, that my audio would actually start to crackle and pop, it was driving me insane lmao

Temps on this one are much much better, thanks in part to the far better airflow 😁

    • Yeh they a brilliant company

  • +1

How much for just the 4060 GPU by itself?

    • +1

$430-500. Or $230ish for an Aliexpress Used one.

      • Where's this $230 Aliexpress one? Got a link?

    • +2

Can beat the lowest SRP by $10 excluding shipping, really very little margin on lower-end systems sorry.

      Pick up free of course.

Just wanted to vouch for Nebula and Lawrence as well. I got my 4060 siege machine from them and the support provided for all my silly questions has been super responsive and patient! Highly recommend this team!

  • Store rep, would the 4060 pc run age of empires 2 definitive edition 4k highest settings at 60fps? Thanks

    • +1

Really hard to say, to my knowledge, it isn't a graphically intense game but more CPU-intense. It's best to test it or do some research first before buying, I would say to the best of my knowledge it should be around that mark but give or take 10 FPS.

I am judging my response off this 4070 Ti benchmark on 4K - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mACchQDviz8 where they averaged around 110 FPS.

You likely need to go with a 4070 Super system on the AM5 platform but if you're on a tight budget this system may suffice, but much better on 1080P.

      • Great thanks!
Is the 4070 nearly twice as fast? Or their setup had a more powerful cpu? Good to know cpu power is more important.

        • +1

Really depends on the game and resolution, this is a brief benchmark - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mczITudRx08. Take it with a grain of salt, of course it will be different to your setup due to various reasons but it gives you an idea. Sometimes twice as fast, sometimes not.

  • Hi, just want to know if there is any 12400F+ 4060 or 4060Ti deal soon?

    • Not as of now, best value is still AMD CPUs for price to performance with gaming.

  • +1

Hi dear, I was wondering if this build is good for Lightroom photo editing. or should I go with 4070 super with R5 7500F? and Is it possible upgrade to 32GB RAM?

    • +1

      Hi asxzswqaz,

I would personally go with the newer AM5 platform for faster processing speed, price has really dropped a lot now. Unless you're doing intensive video rendering tasks, no need for a high-end GPU like that. Our 7500F and RTX 4060 system will do perfectly fine for the usual Lightroom photo editing :). https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/831742

If you want that extra grunt and multitasking capability, definitely upgrade the CPU and RAM that your budget allows!

      Cheers,
      Lawrence

      • Thanks a lot for the message Lawrence, That's really helpful! For the deal you referenced, is it possible to upgrade to 32GB RAM? and how much would be to post to Perth, WA?

        • +1

          All good!

Yes, it is possible to upgrade to 32GB 6000MHz RAM for $100 on the system builder page, we do $50 flat rate nationwide.

Let me know if you have any questions, thanks!

  • Hi Store Rep.
    1) The Gigabyte B550M K doesn't have RGB controls: do you offer non-RGB RAM and fans?
    2) The listed price for Gigabyte B550M K is about $120 and the alternative MSI B550M PRO-VDH Wi-Fi is about $175 (+$55). The upgrade to the MSI motherboard is +$150. Is that upgrade price correct?

Thanks for your help and feedback.

    • Hey mate,

Yes, the base model case has no RGB fans (single rear exhaust fan) and the motherboard will be compatible. RAM RGB will still work as it doesn't use RGB sync.

Price is correct as we mass stock B550M K so we can pass on this discount. For the B550M PRO-VDH Wi-Fi, we don't mass stock so the price is a bit dearer for both ends.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

      Cheers,
      Lawrence

  • Ethernet only in the base price… what??

    • Oh, doors on your car are extra, but it's driveable without them… what do you mean that's not the real price?

      Support - WI-FI & BLUETOOTH: Wired Ethernet Only - No Wi-Fi & Bluetooth

      • -1

Okay, and most people have to get this shipped not picked up so that's another $70+, yeah forget it. I'm in Melbourne, there's plenty of cheap places around who will build much faster with pickup, with better bundle options as I want the whole kit and caboodle and don't like the real price being in the extras.

        • +1

Understand you're not the right customer! Maybe next time :). If you can find a system better priced locally and faster, I would strongly suggest going with them. It will work out better for you!

One of the only ways to keep pricing low is to use a non-Wi-Fi motherboard, this is OzBargain, my friend. We have upgrade options to Wi-Fi motherboards or an option to have a USB Wi-Fi adaptor. You'd be surprised how many customers don't need Wi-Fi, ultimately these are the best bang for buck systems meaning there will be some limitations :).

  • how do I get the price of $948? when I clicked into the link, its $1448. cheers.
