  • are these people legit, got my money scammed by TITAN TECH IT beginning of last year and having no chance of getting it back

    • +15

Come visit us in Bankstown or Facetime me and we'll pick your own PC parts together, take a seat and watch us build it :).

    • +6

The OzBargain gaming PC regulars (TechFast, Nebula and BPC) are great, otherwise they wouldn't have the consistently high upvotes/feedback they do.

      • +2

Best to pick based on where you live to prevent all the hassles of having to pack them for return shipping etc.

I live in VIC and was deciding between Evatech and BPC and ended up going with BPC.

        • +2

Would be nice if Evatech did similar builds at this price point. I think they use better parts though so probably not going to happen

        • In my opinion, Evatech are not on the level of TechFast/Nebula/BPC.

Evatech posts on average as many gaming PC builds in a year as those 3 do in a typical month (Evatech has only been consistently posting gaming PCs since November 2023; before that it was all parts). Somehow they don't give the impression that they do enough volume as a gaming PC system builder to really be consistently good at it.

They're also just… weird. Their store rep on here gets extremely defensive every single time someone dares to mention that most of their deals are terrible value compared to any equivalent builds from TechFast/Nebula/BPC or questions their choice of specs/parts, their account been banned for sockpuppeting in the past (for whatever reason) and they seem to be a much smaller operation with less staff than TechFast/Nebula/BPC.

          • @Gnostikos: Fair enough figure it is more expensive as the parts are better so less demand, didn't know that they had been banned a while ago good to know. BPC just doesn't seem to be hitting it with price lately. Don't really like buying pc from instate if warranty issues but time will tell i guess :) Still kicking tires atm anyway

            • @fatty99: Yeah, Evatech just give off a really weird vibe if you compare their store rep's behaviour to Luke from TechFast or Nebula/BPC, all of whom have been consistently transparent and honest with the community in the past (especially with customer complaints made on their posts for example) and given how none of Evatech's gaming PC deals were remotely competitive with offerings from TechFast/Nebula/BPC, I just don't see why anyone would bother with them when TechFast/Nebula/BPC give you far more confidence that they know what they're doing.

              • +2

@Gnostikos: Agreed with all the above summary. Evatech is still a newbie compared to the rest of them.

Techfast provides the cheapest option but can sometime take a while to deliver and they also don't allow custom case selections.

I ended up getting a 4080 build from BPC with Lian-Li O11 case for less than the price of 4080 Super shipped from NebulaPC which is still cheaper than building it myself. I was able to pick it up from the store and in the end 4080 has negligible performance difference anyway to 4080 Super when dealing with under 100 fps.

If you're in Vic I would highly recommend Evatech - I purposely didn't want to cheap out on computer components with the understanding that you could get ~$100-200 cheaper build with Techfast. Have absolutely no regrets, communication throughout the build process was great even with some part upgrades. If you're on a budget and want the best CPU/GPU combo and don't really care about the other internals then techfast/Nebula may be the best option. Each company has their own pros/cons

    • Yeah they're legit, I bought a PC from them a few months ago and they were great to deal with.

    • I bought a PC from them, and their after sale support is excellent.

    • +1

Mate Lawrence /Nebula is the cream of the crop for customer service and reliability.. May not be the cheapest, but for what you lose in price, you gain in the best customer service in this space.

    • No, I just got my 7500f+4060.
      Perfect

    $730 4060 build sounds better

  • Rep, your 2nd link for the RTX 4080 SUPER says it has expired. Is that still on or not please?

    • +1

      Still on.

      • When does this deal end?

        • Nearly sold out, until we sell out!
