      Domain hosting they are fine. But web hosting I have had and seen many problems so no longer use or recommend them.
      Mainly email/website downtime, email sending/receiving delays.
      Just last Friday a few clients that still host in ventra's email when down for about 35mins in the middle of the day.

    Hi ventraIP, trying to create a new web hosting plan, but the 75% off code doesnt work for me - it applies successfully but total remains same price.
    This occurs even when only thing in cart is the economy web hosting plan.
    i.e. it shows 75% One Time Discount: 0

    Any help?

      You may be doing it for 3 years. It'll only work for up to 2 years in advance!

        haha I just found out after my own cost calculations that the 2 year and 3 year now costs the same per month as the 75% applies only to the 2 year.

    Sorry, new to this web hosting thing. So after we get this domain, are we allowed to put anything on there? If so how many megabytes do we have and what not?

      You get the domain, which is an alias to an IP-address. You then have to get a hosting service (which has an IP-address) that takes care of requests/services for that domain (e.g. email, website, etc.). I would recommend getting a free Google Apps account, which gives you email and website functionality for free. Google will give you the configuration details that you must enter into ventraip that will ensure your domain points to your services on Google's servers.
      Sorry if this non-technical description is not too accurate.

    Was all gone ages ago like 2PM! Really cut up about it since I spent like 2hrs trying to figure out a good name….

    Seriously, how did 1000 people get it in just 2 hours?

      From what we can see:

      a) People have signed up using multiple accounts with the site was offline. We didn't say you couldn't do this in the offer (we did stop people from getting more than 1 per account though) so we have to allow them and to be honest we wouldn't know.

      b) Looks like the coupon had been posted somewhere else with the site was offline. The last use was at around 7:32PM so the offer was going for nearly 8 hours. This website alone has registered over 1,000 clicks to our site and this site was down for hours!

      Apologies to those who didn't get one. :(

        Hmmmm, OK if you say you. However, I tried multiple times between 2PM to 9PM. Everytime it said something along the lines of "This coupon has already been used".

        Just letting you know what happened to me.

        PS. Yeah I know, I was so cut, couldn't post my problem. I'm sure it would have gotten resolved if OzBargain wasn't down for so long.
