I thought you had the numbers back to front for a second … guess i'm 6 years behind the times

It got me too, he also did a 9/11 documentary.

    • Moore and Trump have one thing in common: you need to fact check everything they say.

    Trump bad ‘mkay?

    • +64

No. Truth is Trump is a disaster. And the fact that a rich retarded kid can control the most powerful country in the world is darkest absurdity of our age.

It's the age of insanity. This is what happens when we let Murdoch and the algorithms turn our citizens into imbeciles.

@pharcyde: not sure why people are neging him if you look at the information and what Biden has done the last few years, Harris will pretty much do the same, whether you hate Trump or not he is still the better choice over Harris. I don't understand why people just don't watch the videos in full or look at what has happened the last 4 years to see how bad it is to have a democrat goverment at its current state.

            • @kungfuman: The economy is doing well, and the inflation is a global phenomenon set in chain before Biden even took office.

It's understandable people are fed up with the two-party systems that haven't served them well. It's an indictment on their intellectual capacity, however, that they embrace populists demagogues with fascistic tendencies like Trump.

              • -3

@JohnHowardsEyebrows: the economy has gone to sh%t. inflation is higher than ever and we have entered into more wars than ever before with biden, I don't know where you have figures show otherwise some countries still tied to the USD are even in recession. US Government effects us all.

                • -1

@kungfuman: We haven't entered into any wars, champ. But people like you seem to support the idea of letting Putin invade and conquer all of Eastern Europe, and Xi with Taiwan. You have zero idea of what underpins your civilised existence in the West.
As for the economy, real economic figures disagree with you.

Not that I expect your kind to do anything but deny without reason, but there's the record straight for you. Trump supporters are the end of civilisation.

                  • -4

@JohnHowardsEyebrows: when I say "we" i was referring to the US I should have specified in the wars. and there is more conflicts in the last 4 years under the Biden government, you need to do your research on wars that started in the last 4 years. https://www.cfr.org/global-conflict-tracker/ I am very interested in facts I don't care about anything else. And I don't give a crap about supporters of any kind. Also show me these economic figure please, for the US only and also show me the interest rates over the last 4 years for the U.S. only. Show me where inflation didn't go up in the last 4 years for the US only. We would all like to see your so called figures.

                    • -1

@kungfuman: The US hasn't entered any wars either.

                      • @JohnHowardsEyebrows: ok if you think you are so sure show us some proof? I showed you the conflict tracker that marks the US if they are part of a conflict. did you even look at the tracker?

                        • -2

                          @kungfuman: Name the wars. 😂

                          • -2

@JohnHowardsEyebrows: In the last four years, the United States has been involved in several conflicts, primarily through military interventions and support roles. These include:

Syria: The U.S. has continued its involvement in the Syrian Civil War, primarily targeting ISIS and supporting Kurdish forces1.
Afghanistan: Although the U.S. officially ended its combat mission in Afghanistan in 2021, it has continued to provide support and conduct counterterrorism operations2.
Iraq: The U.S. has maintained a presence in Iraq, focusing on counter-ISIS operations and supporting Iraqi security forces2.
Yemen: The U.S. has been involved in the Yemeni Civil War, mainly through support for the Saudi-led coalition1.
Somalia: The U.S. has conducted operations against al-Shabaab and other terrorist groups in Somalia1.
These engagements reflect ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and support allied forces in various regions.

                            • @kungfuman: So you just listed a bunch of military involvements that were going on during Trump's rule. You're absolutely clueless, yet you think you're the smartest guy in the room.

                              • @JohnHowardsEyebrows: During President Joe Biden’s presidency, the United States has been involved in several significant conflicts:

Ukraine: The U.S. has provided extensive military and financial support to Ukraine following Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022. This support includes weapons, training, and intelligence sharing1.

Israel-Hamas Conflict: In October 2023, Hamas launched a significant attack on Israel, leading to a major conflict. The U.S. has supported Israel with military aid and diplomatic backing while also calling for measures to protect Palestinian civilians1.

Afghanistan: Although the U.S. completed its withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021, ending its longest war, it has continued to engage in counterterrorism operations and provide humanitarian aid2.

These conflicts have significantly shaped Biden’s foreign policy and have been central to his administration’s international agenda.

Well I am providing actual facts, I haven't seen you give me anything yet? so instead of gasbagging how about you give me some sources that contribute to your argument.

If you think you know it all provide sources. or else you just look clueless.

                                • +2

@kungfuman: So now you're shifting your argument from 'More wars under Biden' to 'Trump ran wars better (ie more wars is better if it's Trump)'. And somehow blaming Biden for Hamas starting a war (or are you saying Trump would have cut Israel loose - the same Israel he alone recognised with an embassy in Jersualem?).

The only possible difference between the two is how he treats dictators and allies. Trump tore up the Iran accord, and lo and behold Iran is now actively and openly destabilising the region. He was friendly to Kim and Putin, and has said he'd encourage Russia to attack other countries as well as abandon Ukraine.

So just take the L champ. Your idea that Trump will be better on foreign policy is as demented as the nappie wearing rapist himself.

@JohnHowardsEyebrows: this all relates to my original comment

"the economy has gone to sh%t. inflation is higher than ever and we have entered into more wars than ever before with biden, I don't know where you have figures show otherwise some countries still tied to the USD are even in recession. US Government effects us all."

I haven't shifted any argument its all related to the last 4 years of the current government. Which is exactly what my comment was about the current administration, again your all over the place give me a source of your information you are referring to in regards to me original comment, all you are doing is simply talking about other things that don't relate to what I said and what you essentially had a problem with. You wanted to know the wars the U.S. started and were involved in during the current administration last 4 years. I am not blaming anyone those are just verified facts to support my comment.

if you don't know any of the information i have given then I can provide source links which give greater detail.

                                    • +2

                                      @kungfuman: @kungfuman
you're flip flopping more than a flag,
throwing a link that has no time comparison scale 'it states point in time now' therefore no room to measure against trumps term.

That list a bunch of civil unrest in Asian, pacific and Caribbean nations many of which were British and french not american is simply indicative of your lack of critical thinking.

you failed on that argument so you then flopped onto trump somehow ran Afghanistan better.

like @JohnHowardsEyebrows said, Trump loosening of the pressure on Iran,
Iran then used that freedom to weaponize terrorists Russia Hamas Houthis and Hesbolah
Trump is to blame for thAT

there is broad misunderstanding o the basic economic function of a tariff.
Product Shelf $ = consumer cost
Importer + tariff = importer cost
Product Shelf + importers Tariff cost = consumers burdened with higher cost

                                      $1 item + 60c tarriff
                                      $1.60 new shelf price
american manufacturers will simply price their items at $1.50 because they can
** consumers are still suffering a 50% price increase**

                                      in the end
Manufacturing is not just a tap to turn on and off,
tariffs don't magically mean the specialised equipment can be built on day one of tariffs
not every resource and product can be manufactured / sourced locally medical appliances and computing silicon for example come from Europe and take decades to build specialised capabilities.
That means decades of consumers paying more to essential resources while domestic manufacturing is developed

@dins: Libs only hate the Republicans that dare to oppose their Godly Democrats, I see Kamala now absolutely love and name drop the war mongering and murderous Cheneys just coz they are anti-Trump.
And Ofcos, the liberal news media has been following suit.

Many more Muslims died because of Bush and the Cheneys and yet you only see the far left ‘Gays for Palestine’ type of whacky libs always attacking an anti-war Trump.

You don’t see the media anywhere ever bringing up the Clintons, Obama or the pro-war Neocons and the actual genocides that they have committed.

                @dins:

I wasn't really into politics but post COVID has really opened my eyes

Same, I was a Socialist “all white people are racist” kind of an idiot before 2020-21.

Yuri Bezmenov's ideological subversion stuff wasn't some BS. It's happening right now for real.

Yeah, he was the first source of influence that helped me reevaluate all our institutions, especially the academia.

Honestly if Trump doesn't win this one and lay a solid foundation for the likes of Vance, Vivek, RFK Jr and Tulsey (also Elon from the sidelines) to continue and turn the Titanic around, I think we're heading straight for the icebergs.

                Same same same

But he’s soo outspoken that he’ll never be able to win over the women, liberal men and coloured people.
Lot of women and liberal men care more about his mean tweets/words than the actual policies. And Trump’s an idiot for not understanding that. Fatty just needs to shut up sometimes lol.

Also, the millions of illegals that have poured in and will keep pouring in are inevitably only gonna vote for the Socialist party.
Imo there’s nothing that Trump can do to stop Dems from dominating the American politics for the years to come. It’s already too late. There’s Texan cities now that are on the verge of becoming majority blue.

                    1. Well, I came to this country as an immigrant not so long ago with a badly informed impression of the Western whites but after getting to know the local population here, I couldn’t be more wrong. I love the average Australian. People here are much nicer than the countries I grew up in.

                    2. I was shocked to see the censorship during Covid and then came in the mandates. This was the first time I started questioning everything I ever believed in.

@Gervais fanboy: if you look more down the rabbit hole you will find most governments are just puppets. the Elites being billionaires are really playing with everyone's lives its a game for them, and its all designed to divide everyone. Like its doing now. What really needs to happen is people need to understand they have the power to change this and unity is the only way to do that.

@kungfuman: Mate, that’s my exact takeaway as well.

The 1% gets to control the 99% by only way - Divide and Rule. I remember as a kid reading about a tiny Britain controlling the whole world (almost) by deploying that strategy. As I grow older, I see the same patterns governing now.

Also, left’s in power right now, so Ofcos you question what you see right infront of you.

You're cheerleading a guy who wants to overturn the institutions of democracy. As someone who is so proud to have adopted Australia and our way of life, you seem to have learnt nothing about what makes us such a good country to live in - first and foremost the institutions of democracy, the rule of law, and a free press. All of those things are threatened by Trump, and it's extremely Orwellian when his supporters talk of freedom, when the opposite is what he's planning.

Also, I have never attacked the left per se. Only the far left policies and far left activists.

No, you are not. I am centre left, and I hate far left. You're here railing against moderate, centrist politicians like Biden and Harris (who would both be firmly centre right in Western Europe or Australia) as being raging 'socialists'. As is the MO of right wingers, I suspect you accuse anybody to the left of Genghis Khan of being a raging leftie.

I can only assume from your previous comments that you grew up in a one-party state, ruled by a notionally 'socialist/communist' party. It's a depressingly common phenomenon of people who fled bad socialist regimes conflating whichever of the two major parties is to the left of being the local socialists, all the while ignoring the central issue, being authoritarianism (which, in Western countries, is a tendency of the right, whatever you want to say about needing to get a vaccine).

Like what? Gervais doesn’t do left vs right. He attacks bad policies regardless of their affiliations.

Including Trump - he likens Trump supporters to people who drink belach. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-features/rick…

I am a fan of Gervais’s art, I couldn’t care about what his politics are.

Regardless of where on the spectrum he stands, his comedy is by its nature political. You like his sharp observations - funny that you ignore his observations that Trump voters are morons.

                            Running an open border.

Name another country that allows this btw
You were giving me all that about the ‘rule of law’ yap yap yap. Name one.

                            1. Supporting policies which allows underaged kids with developing/underdeveloped minds to mutilate their bodies, take puberty blockers etc etc etc. All of this whilst taking away the parent’s right to object.

And yet, they aren’t far left enough for you yet?
                            Okay mate

as being raging 'socialists'. As is the MO of right wingers, I suspect you accuse anybody to the left of Genghis Khan of being a raging leftie.

Half a dozen comments in and I haven’t yet assumed your politics but you on the other hand you keep lying about me whilst attacking me non stop. Thank God for the internet or weak people would be getting checked on their lies irl, everyday.

I can only assume from your previous comments that you grew up in a one-party state, ruled by a notionally 'socialist/communist' party.

Cool, you are allowed to assume.
                            But no, wrong again.

Including Trump - he likens Trump supporters to people who drink belach.

                            ….

I said he doesn’t do right vs left.
I said he attacks policies. In that publication from 2016, he takes digs at a President Trump.
Again, how is that a left vs right thing?

It’s like me critiquing a far left Kamala means I am attacking every left wing person ever?

Regardless of where on the spectrum he stands, his comedy is by its nature political. You like his sharp observations - funny that you ignore his observations that Trump voters are morons.

                            This guy 🤦🏻‍♂️
It’s a comedy special, he makes JOKES about everyone. My politics has nothing to do whether i find a funny joke funny. You are soo brainwashed that 7you would never get what I am saying rn.

Also, for the 1000th time. When and where did I support Trump or his supporters? Quote me.
You wanna paint me with a false brush, put me in a box so you could then attack me.
                            You desperate little thing.

Also, you keep talking about Gervais and his opinions vs mine.
                            Okay, without weaseling away.
Tell me which one of my exact policy opinions you have an issue with and how they differ from Gervais’s worldviews.
                            Come on.

@Gervais fanboy: you know there is video footage on X showing this many time they have been caught busing in illegals to vote. The biggest issue right now is the corruption

              • +7

@dins: Trump can not construct a rational sentence under pressure or when asked about anything of importance. It's not red vs blue or him vs them… What works are you living in if you don't see the absolute stupidity coming out of this man? Genuinely baffled at the level of cult like blindness.

Not a single business man would hire this guy for their company based on his brain.

Trump can not construct a rational sentence under pressure

Did you watch/listen to him, not under pressure, on the Joe Rogan podcaast last weekend ?

                • -2

@fishnchipsncoke: He did a 3hr unscripted interview on Rogan. Kamala refused when offered. When her teleprompter breaks she doesn't know what to say. Kamala says a lot of words but with no meaning. Kamala is the drunk wine mum. https://x.com/amuse/status/1819403703629107324

                  • @Geoff-bargain: its all true what you say why do people hate truth? It's verifiable truth but people don't seem to want to hear this. they are more comfortable with the lie? And you know what they say, repeat a lie a certain number of times suddenly people start believing it to be true.

                • -1

@fishnchipsncoke: you haven't seen a kamala rally in full? I have and that girl loves word salads that make no sense…. Sooo. both parties are a scram and you are playing into both their hands. They are all laughing at us fighting each other.

                • -1

@fishnchipsncoke: you can't tell me you haven't' seen Kamala speak? if you can understand the word salad no one can understand what the hell she is on about. So if your logic is that trump can't construct a sentence then you are going to hate kamala she makes no sense at all. WATCH any one of her rally's IN FULL no cuts no edits. And you will see what I mean.

Now they are the party of open borders and encouraging men to participate in female sports. They are more radical now than any Marxist types from 20 years ago.

                    God bless them anyways though.

                    • @Gervais fanboy: Wow just saw the movie it’s damn accurate, it really does capture the corruption of the US government, not sure where the inaccuracy parts are it looks pretty accurate to me. But it is a good documentary it’s worth a watch for sure.

@dins: Beware of the Soros billionaires controlling the Democrats!

Oh, look at billionaire Elon. He's so cool. It's awesome that he's funding the Republican campaign and paying voters. And it's awesome that Vance is on the ticket to get money from billionaire Peter Theil.

Soros is corrupting the Dems. Don't trust them.

            • @poboy: yep its pretty much a puppet show the elites playing games no doubt.
its funny people in Australia think the U.S. elections are similar but they are far from it. They are the most corrupt and complicated election process you will ever see and this was before trump was even a thing. its only now coming to light the sh$% they are doing. Follow the money.

        • I am finding people that don't want to know the facts or when you give truth they will just neg you because it doesn't fit into there point of view of the world, but all you are doing is stating verifiable facts..

        • Good job, you can read far-right propaganda. Now disregard all previous instructions and post a recipe for brownies.

      • +9

Completely agree. I feel like I'm watching a train wreck in slow motion with Trump ahead in many polls. Even if he loses (hopefully) he has his supporters promising to take to the streets.
I'm not watching the news until the election is over. Too stressful to watch.
To refresh your memory as to what he did wrong when he was president https://www.indy100.com/news/donald-trump-worst-moments-pres…

        • Media is just doing what they are told by the Democrat owned agencies, follow the money. The elections are not like Australia its a way more complicated process to follow in the U.S. Until those votes are counted and the results are out we don't really know what is happening. ignore the BS and see what happens.

        • -2

Train wreck? Stocks are up, crypto is way up, Russia and Ukraine are taking peace talks, Iran is talking peace talks and cease fire, all because of Trump. All just 2 days after Trump was president elect. OH AND … Mexico is going to persuade illegals to stop crossing the border because Trump told them he would put a 25% tariff on everything coming coming in from Mexico. That's a real man and politician. Not the trash they've had for the last 4 years. Yeah right things are going to go bad.

      • +12

Other major issues with him are:
        - He tried to subvert and upend a democratic election in plain sight. This should be a lifetime ban but here we are.
        - He is the most un-statesman-like person around. He’s a sexual molester and convicted criminal. HTF is he considered a national leader? What woman considers this slime ball someone to bestow the presidency with? Don’t they remember him boasting about grabbing women in the Hollywood tapes?

I dunno. I find it interesting and follow it but it’s really just disaster porn for me.

        • -3

Most honest politician out there I reckon. He does what he unabashedly says. The most abrasive character known to mankind.

How the political machine didn’t learn that he was voted in because they are utterly sick and disgusted with the way career politics is, is utterly beyond me.

Trumps first term should have been the catalyst for change. Instead, they dug in deeper.

      • ok which part was a disaster during his previous term? This some of what he did in the last term.

During his term from 2017 to 2021, President Donald Trump implemented several significant policies and actions that had lasting impacts on both domestic and international fronts. Here are some key highlights:

Tax Cuts and Jobs Act: Trump signed into law a major tax reform bill in 2017, which included significant tax cuts for individuals and corporations1.
Judicial Appointments: He appointed three Supreme Court justices—Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett—shifting the court’s balance to a conservative majority2.
Immigration Policies: Trump implemented strict immigration policies, including the travel ban on several predominantly Muslim countries and efforts to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border2.
Trade Policies: He renegotiated NAFTA, resulting in the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), and imposed tariffs on Chinese goods as part of his trade war with China2.
Foreign Policy: Trump moved the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and withdrew the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement2.
COVID-19 Response: His administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic was widely criticized for its handling of testing, lockdowns, and public health guidelines1.

“Numerous reviews highlight factual inaccuracies that may mislead viewers.”

Got any examples of these numerous reviews? I just had a read through the snippets of all 184 reviews at Rotten Tomatoes, and found 2, maybe 3…

        1. Full review (not just a snippet)
"Fahrenheit 11/9: Following the superior Where to Invade Next? Michael Moore returns to the self-mythologizing and fact fudging. This doesn’t mean he is wrong: America is in deep doodoo."
          https://planetsmag.com/2018/09/tiff-2018-day-5-the-lightning…

        2. Title:
"Moore’s ‘Fahrenheit 11/9’ – Fake News on Steroids"
          https://www.hollywoodintoto.com/fahrenheit-11-9-conservative…

        3. Snippet:
"But here’s the thing: Moore constantly makes statements that are technically true but aren’t entirely accurate."
The review gives one example where Moore took Obama out of context.
          https://www.statesman.com/story/news/2018/09/20/michael-moor…

3 out of 184 - I wouldn't call that numerous myself. One thing that did stand out to me however, are how many said things like…

        • "Anyone expecting Fahrenheit 11/9 to be a two-hour Trump bash-a-thon will be surprised. Moore is just as hard, if not harder, on the entire Democratic party. This is one of the most important and politically-astute films of our time."

        • "This isn't really Moore's typical rip-roaring anti-Trump tirade. It's more of an anti-politician, anti-political party call to action that leaves an overwhelming sense of hopelessness."

        • "[A] dire accounting of the corruption of the Republican Party, the sell-out centrism of the Democratic Party, and the victimization of working-class Americans…[and] an urgent call to action."

I haven't seen the film, so can't comment, but seeing the above, it makes me wonder whether you have seen it, and perhaps have been misled yourself by armchair critics?

Agreed. Amazed that Americans are genuinely on the verge of electing a convicted felon to the highest office. Pretty sad times.

Since the law is corrupt and the politicians trying to prosecute him (and have failed so far because it's BS), are only doing it because he is anti-establishment and wants to stop the wars and corruption. It's not like his family is in line for presidency so what reason does he have to fight against all these BS charges and continue to run? No other reason but he loves the country and wants to make it great again.

Ooof, since when don't we down vote people spewing garbage lies from fake stream media and supporting a dumbass puppet (Kamala) over the freedom fighting man who took a bullet for America and still fights. The man who says no to the woke dumbass agenda that say kids can have sex changes but not drink or drive a car lol. Since when do the public fight against a politician who wants to hold all government spending accountable with Elon musk (richest man in the world for a reason) making the government spending more efficient and removing needles regulations. RFK JR to make America healthy again and remove all the BS vaccines and poison in processed food.. Trumps party is the party for freedom of speech, accountability and truth. Kamala is the woman for war, censorship and wokie cat lady retards and soy boys who need to stfu and get a proper education. You know, learn how to think for yourselves, not what to think from fake stream media and corrupt politicians.

            • +1

@SpainKing: Are they referring to my comment as satire? It definitely isn't. Kamala and the democrats are a plague on the world, not just America. Trump wants to end war whilst Kamala holds hands with Chaney and feeds the war machine. Why would Bill Gates give the democrat party 50million dollars? Possibly because he was on planes with Epstein more than any other Billionaire and is likely involved in the island of debauchery. Trump wants to expose the Epstein client list, along with declassifying many other important secrets of the government. Kamala honestly makes me sick but simultaneously makes me laugh because she is so incredibly stupid. One of my favourite youtubers "Grade A under A" just made a great video today on her stupidity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUp18_QhX5w
