Nice deal, as Kenny would say
Mmmmphmmph mmmpphmmmmph!
with ads at the start of episode too
And also during the movie
Use an adblocker.
Worth it for us Gen X that grew up without internet. Where else were we going to get our pr0n from?
10pm on a Friday, oh a lovely international movie and some titties.
I was there. 3000 years ago
Ah yes, Erotic Tales.
And if you were brave, queer as folk, hoping for boobs not wangs for 2 minutes.
Ah youth….
Eat carpet anyone?
I remember to stop simping for any media or celebrity since Covid
well if NewsCorp (where you no doubt obtained this figure) paid tax on its $1.8b revenue…. the last time they paid corporate tax was $8m in 2015.
But they're happy to also take handouts from the Govt & the govt enforced handouts from Alphabet,FB, X, etc
What are you talking about? The figure was obtained from their own Annual Statement and I gave you the link in my original comment.
To make it easier for you, here is the link (go to page 135): https://www.sbs.com.au/aboutus/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/SB…
For the record, private corporations shouldn't be taking money from the taxpayer via the government, and I have not said I'm against taxpayer funding of the SBS, I merely pointed out it ain't free.
SBS is a public service broadcaster owned by the Australian government, so makes sense that's where some of their funding comes from…
Yes it does make sense and also makes sense that it isn't exactly free (unless you don't pay tax in Australia).
Using that logic nothing in life is free…
@lasterato: Not really. Stuff that you don't pay for either directly or indirectly is free. e.g. watching episodes of south park at the the official south park site (and in this case you use an ad blocker), e.g. your neighbour offers you some lemons from the tree in their backyard.
@tenpercent: Yeah but you still have to use the internet which would likely be NBN or a form of it which was paid for with taypayer money…
@lasterato: And you have to pay to use the NBN. It's not free either in either sense - you pay directly to your ISP and you pay indirectly via taxes which get funelled to the NBN.
Screw you guys… I`m going home.
Nice! Anyone know how SBS got this? Thought there was a big legal case between South Park, Paramount, and HBO. I know we're in Aus but seems weird they would sign a deal bringing SP to a new service while the Paramount lawsuit is ongoing.
Go ask sbs
I did, but their reply was in Gooback.
probably because they had the original deal for a decade or so.
It's only up to season 15. I believe that snafu is surrounding the newer seasons.
"You can't just sell your streaming rights to one company, and then turn around and sell them to another company"
- South Park, The Streaming Wars (Exclusively on Paramount+)
(it's actually a misquote but they say something like that in there)
In any case, the AU rights would be separate to the US.
Also free 24 hour south park channel on Pluto TV if you have a VPN.
10play have the Pluto TV channels locally including the South Park one.
So south park is basically streaming everywhere then.
On demand selection is lacking
Also free from the official site, no sign up needed.

edit: beaten
Respect mah AUTHORITY
I used to have a t-shirt with this slogan on 😆
WTF? since when did they take south park off SBS? lol
Never
https://www.southparkstudios.com/ is unlocked for Australians all episodes streaming free. All 26 seasons
Yep this is the info.
Worth watching the documentary 6 Days to Air if you like South Park.
Not sure if they still do it now since COVID and their move towards longer specials, but they used to write, voice, animate and produce each episode in 6 days for a whole season. They only missed the deadline once when they lost power.
I love this doco. I tell people to check it out all the time.
There are so many social issues I'd wish they'd tackled with this same 6 day mentality.
Like I remember on the US election where Obama got re-elected (Nov 4, 2012?) - they had the whole Douche v Turd Sandwich thing and then released the South Park episode a few days later (Nov 7, 2012)… and they tied it all into the Disney-Star Wars acquisition which happened literally days earlier (Oct 30, 2012).
Where else does that happen except SNL and late night monologues? I remember Futurama released a new season a couple months ago and they were talking about NFTs, which had really stopped being talked about a year earlier, and all the jokes were really stale.
The specials HAVE still done a great job of addressing social issues - COVID, Post-COVID, Streaming Wars, End of Obesity. Especially with the COVID ones, I remember thinking I'd had enough of shows trying to shoe-horn it in, and then they released like 4 great specials about COVID, that were still original and witty.
And that time they lost power, they aired Scott Tenorman Must Die, except it had been remastered in HD, which I'm pretty sure was the first time they'd aired an old episode in HD.
Timmy!!
Yes?
Cripple fight!
(profanity) you guys, i'm going home.
Do they show the Cred episode or is that only on paramount? If you haven’t seen it you should watch it! 😆
Even our kids say mmmkay. One day the gonna realise where from haha.
Scott Tenorman Must Die and Fat Butt and Pancake Head are still my favourite episodes.
Hi Kids, I’m TVs Patrick Duffy.
SBS = South Bark Seasons
yt-dlp `curl -s https://pastebin.com/raw/fbemmvBu`
What does this do?
This is positive. HIV postive news!
You must have aides
The Disney / Chinese government ones from last season were so good. Instant banned from China.
They sure are taking their sweet time with season 27…
Parker and Stone are making a movie with Kendrick Lamar, which will be out in the next few months. SP episodes in the second half of the year.
Do they have all the episodes or did they remove the muhammad and cartoon wars ones?
They're missing from all streaming services including SBS
They're available here: https://www.southparkuncensored.com/
Which year is season 15 from?
Google it and let us know
2011
Member Southpark? Yeh I member :) :) :)
SBS On Demand is underrated.
Without trying to spark a debate, but I'm sure it will, as usual the depiction of Muhammad episodes are missing:
S5E3 - Super Best Friends
S10E3 - Cartoon Wars I
S10E4 - Cartoon Wars II
S14E5 - 200
S14E6 - 201
I'm not sure 720 or 1080 versions of these episodes have ever been released, though probably by S10 they were on 1080..
Does look like they have some episodes that are reported missing on Paramount+
S01 E4 - Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride
S06 E7 - Simpsons Already Did it
S07 E1 - Cancelled
S08 E4 - You Got F'd in teh A
S09 E8 - Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow
SBS does have these ones, not sure of the reasons for them not being on Paramount+ - though I can guess with S1E4.
Edit:
As someone who really liked South Park and thought Family Guy was just a bunch of crass one-liners, I really enjoyed the Cartoon Wars when it aired, but I completely understand it's a compcliated issue.
For those that don't know the backstory, the Cartoon Wars was a two-parter where they went on a whole rant making fun of Family Guy, while simultaneously addressing the issues around the depiction of Muhammad (and subsequent bombings of media outlets). In the original episode, Matt and Trey (South Park) creators decided not to censor him, but got overruled by Comedy Central who aired a censored version (I believe without their knowledge), with a black box covering the relevant material
Fans were quick to point out that Muhammad had appeared uncensored in the S5E3 episode, Super Best Friends, and that it wasn't an issue. Years later, for episode 200 (a significant milestone in TV series back in the day of 20 episode seasons), they revisited 200 episodes of making fun of people/celebrities, and being sued by them, and other times the show had made the news.Making fun of the original censorship, the black box made a come back (this time added by Matt and Trey), but then Comedy Central censored a speech that Kyle gave at the end.
Once streaming came along, those episodes were not included in the streaming catalogues (or removed very early on)
This is why I ripped all of my DVDs to my plex server. Nobody is going to dictate what I can and cannot watch.
This is one of those novelty upvotes, I watched it then, would I watch it again, ya nah.
Thanks OP!
last time I watched South Park was around the Wii launch episode lol
Would be nice to one day see a similar link for ‘Familu Guy’ and ‘American Dad’ here on ozbargain.
SBS on demand is always free with ads, so this isn't a bargain.
Does SBS On Demand have English language subtitles for English language programs yet?
My favourite characters are Chef and Mr Hankey the Christmas poo 😆
Niiiiiiiiice
