OZB_EASTER_$500OFF

Hi OzBargain,

Our Easter sales keep rolling in! Another excellent 1080P gaming rig for all-around performance on budget today, the Ryzen 5 5600 still performs well more than enough for 1080P AAA titles today. Currently, the lowest priced RTX 4060 and Ryzen 5600 system build in Australia and hundreds less than an AM5 build. Can't get better than this anywhere in the country for 1080P gaming with RTX 4060 performance. Will definitely be suited who don't want to make the jump to AM5 and spend the extra money on the new platform requirements!

  • How's the shipping? If you were to ship it to WA

    • +1

No problem at all, freight to WA is typically by rail express. Roughly 4-6 business days for delivery, provided no courier delays. It'll be $50 flat rate nationwide for shipping.

    • +9

Great choices! Though, if you can get RTX 4060's at $330 I'll buy all of them in the nation haha.

      • -6

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/880718 Broden it next deal post!

        • +3

It would be impossible these days, unfortunately.

          • -8

@Nebula PC: Yeah I personally paid around $430 for my 4060, but I specifically wanted white to match my case. About 380-400 is the going price on sale I believe

      • $330 is for a RTX 3060 not a RTX 4060… I think he's dreaming

        • -1

this was the past deal, so not dreaming at all: [eBay Plus] PNY GeForce RTX 4060 VERTO Dual Fan 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card $329 Delivered @ smarthomestoreau eBay

  • I'm still awaiting delivery on my PC ordered more than 10 business days now.

    • +2

Email us on [email protected] and we'll sort it out immediately. We're going through orders fast and are ahead of the 10 business day mark.

  • Would love to see better SSDs, those max speeds lag behind what's available. There's easily 5-7GB/s reads for that price

SSD prices are weird lately though, I ended up with cheapos off Temu with 60% cashback (~$35 ea for 1TB that hits 7GB/s, put them in RAID1 to be safe). Good luck to me when I need to claim warranty, lol

    Edit: ie https://www.centrecom.com.au/crucial-p310-1tb-pcie-gen4-2280… $95 for 7100/6000MB/s

I'm the crazy guy that wants a Samsung 9100 Pro in RAID1 though (14700R/13300W MB/s)

    • +6

Yup! We usually put the faster SSDs in the higher-end rigs. The SSD for this rig is more than enough for most use cases, it is a budget value build and we will try our best to deliver a bargain without much compromise.

      • hello mate, the code is not working for the BYO PC with 8700f. is the deal now expired? thanks

        • OZB_STRATOS_$500OFF is still working and live - https://gyazo.com/4dbb525f69bebe2501919ef367cea5e1.

Please make sure you are using the correct discount code.

          • @Nebula PC: Thank you I was applying the Easter code as the other page on ozb said expired.

            • @Godgodgod: Please apply the code that is on the deal post, it should work 😁.

              • @Nebula PC: never mind. the code worked but didn't realized that 8700f switches the case and motherboard. my GPU is 305mm long. do you think it will fit in the Nebula case?

                • @Godgodgod: It won't fit in our N2, no. You will need to upgrade the case to a larger one that supports a GPU 30.5cm in length. The Dan A3 case will work great with it however it's the 7800X3D build.

  • Are you not allowed changes on this build?
The only thing I change was to the POWER SUPPLY: MSI MAG A750GL 750W 80+ Gold - Modular [MSI-MAG-A750GL] x1 (90)

But when I apply the code it says "OZB_EASTER_$500OFF discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart"

I was hoping the system + PS change + shipping and insurance was close to $1000

    • I want to know this too! Happened last time I was interested in something from this store. A bit irritating if you can't change anything.

    • +3

It will work, please allow a minute or two for the system to recognise your custom build. I've made your configuration and the code is working - https://gyazo.com/b22da4172d1ab3cde5289a0d9d1dfe59. You can customise as much as you'd like and the discount code will work.

  • Low-key got a better deal from Techfast like 2 years ago lol… i5 12400F RTX4060, $780 (inc PSU upgrade) plus delivery. Basically same specs otherwise.. Have prices gone up since?

    • Yup! You got a good deal for sure haha.

    • +1

      Aussie dollar is down.

    • that kinda of price is once in a life time deal, it does not reflect the actual price of components

    • I paid just a little more amd got a 3060ti.
Not sure why theres so many 3060 builds now, maybe to get rid of them because to 4000 series are out.

  • +2

PCIE 4 capable processor on a PCIE 3 board. You might as well use a budget B550 board like Gigabyte B550.

PCIE 3 artificially restricts NVME to 3500Mb/s. PCIE 4 is capable of 5000Mb/s.

    • This is a non-issue, especially at this price. No doubt PCIe nvme 3.0 manufacturing doesn't have the demand to justify supply, there can't be many being made these days. What's the point? Nvme 4 is backwards compatible on 3 boards for a reason! I'm sure nebula got a great deal on these ssds.

Also, this is a great way to clear B450 inventory that is no doubt dwindling. It is value and it will perform well enough for 99% of buyers. Heck, I run a bootdrive off USB, and it's more than enough.

    • @heef what about the GPU? I feel like for modern GPUs it may make a difference..

      • +2

PCIE4 vs 3 is 10% performance hit in worse case scenario.

Great price for them not exactly great for users especially considering it is last legs of AM4.

      • The performance difference is not going to ruin a 1080p gaming experience that this build is advertising.

The more powerful a GPU you pick, the larger the performance gap. For a 4060, it's not a big deal. A 5090? Well, you wouldn't anyway, the cpu bottleneck would be huge.

  • My 2cents would be go for the most expensive case, i got a mid tier case and the usb ports are shocking.

I can only plug in certain devices together otherwise they wont work, and for one usb connection it continuously cuts out (must be a dodgy usb port).

I think im going to have to buy a better case and swap it all over, it basically stops me from using the pc.

    Other than that good service!

    • Also, when i have my controller plugged in, there is considerable lag for inputs, this doesn't happen on my old pc (and yes ive updated everything), so yeah, definitely something funky going on with the usb ports!

      • +1

Ahh sounds like somebody has a Ryzen CPU (5000/7000 series).

        • +1

I can relate, especially in the early days. Took many b550 bios updates to fix it

          • +2

@gentlekoala5906: Depends on the chip you got. In many cases it was never resolved by AGESA or BIOS updates. Google and reddit are full of people who have tried everything to fix this issue. AMD did well to keep the issue under wraps to be honest.

            • @buffalo bill: I see, so basically the whole reason why I bought this PC (only for Tekken 8) is now a complete waste of money?

              Sigh… I knew I should have just went with a ps5.

              • +3

@iWouldDie4u: I would try to update BIOS update first and update all motherboard firmware as well. For some people it fixes the issue. If it is what I think it is, the root cause of this issue is the USB controller which is onboard the CPU. I'd contact with who you bought the system off if still under warranty.

Failing that you can get a PCIe USB card for about $40, bang it in the back and use those ports.

  • is windows OEM $60???

    • +1

Nah, $15 activation key if you do a quick google search
