220

OMG I was wanting to watch this since seeing the trailer only months ago, and it's on Prime already!
to be honest it might be disappointing, because the director is a Music artist, music video director.
but the trailer had everything, good soundtrack, scifi genre, trippy visuals and outer space.

Starring: Aaron Paul and gorgeous Eiza Gonzalez.
Scienfiction, Suspense, Horror movie by Flying Lotus.

    so Jesse Pinkman broke orbit?

  • I skimmed through it, looks a bit nasty, like Event Horizon.

  • Huh Flying Lotus is directing films? Looking at the reviews he should probably stick to his day job.

The director's name is Flying Lotus - that tells you all you need to know about the quality of this flick.

Not entirely true. For example, Childish Gambino is an acclaimed rapper, actor and TV screenwriter/director. If you're dismissing him by his name, you'd be missing out.

5.1/10 IMDb - no thanks (then again, I liked the movie Anaconda and that's 4.7/10 but somehow I feel this is worse)

It's a genre film. It's almost unfair to judtge it "critically". Theres an audience that will love this movie.

I saw this movie in 4K Dolby Atmos with Dolby Vision on my iPhone with headphones on for perfect visuals and audio and it was still terrible. It is so bad that you will be fighting the urge to fast forward every 3 mins. Also it is very clear they did not have a decent budget. I would be embarrassed if I worked on this movie, it was so bad, not as bad as Snow White but that is a girly movie meant for 10 year old girls. This movie was meant to be a gritty Sci-fi movie for real men and I really did not feel it is meant for the male audience, it has too much talking and not enough action. On top of that it's so badly lit to cover the shoe string set budget that even a $2500 mobile phone with one of the worlds best displays couldn't show detail in the scenes. I would advise people to never watch this movie, you will lose precious hours of your life, life is short….we will all be dead soon, you shouldn't waste time watching movies like this. It's just so bad.

    • I was willing to give it a chance for the lead actor but that’s a detailed savage review 😄

Are you really taking seriously someone who thinks that a tiny screen on an iPhone has 'perfect visuals'?
As well as someone who's detailed review uses such eloquent phrases as 'a girly movie meant for 10 year old girls' and 'gritty Sci-fi movie for real men and I really did not feel it is meant for the male audience'.

        • I was just messing around. I'm going to watch it regardless.

Think for yourself. If you've seen a trailer for a sci-fi horror film and thought "hmm, I';d likely enjoy that?", then you're probably. right.

Regardless of how the movie is, your review is honestly childish

    • Your iPhone is not 4k and this film hasn't been released anywhere with atmos or DV. You're full of it.

I stopped reading this comment at iPhone

    • fyi I watched it as well because I was looking forward to it and had to watch it straight away. no spoilers.

honestly not as bad as I thought it might have been. because of the music artist director, I was worried it would turn into this artsy vague movie focused on the music and visuals, but it wasn't. I agree it was a bit slow in the first half, but that has it's purpose to build suspense and also give you a disoriented perspective the main character is going through. in other words it's meant to not explain everything and the slow build up leads towards the action/gore sequences. I wish there was another word for this but the "climax" was worked up to well and there was even a little more after which I enjoyed before cutting to credits. overall was a great horror entry from a first time movie director. it followed the movie format way more than I expected making it definitely interesting.

idk I watched with X-bass (ULT Wear) headphones and thought it was a must because of the synth bass type soundtrack. I watched on budget iPad which just has a normal LCD in a lamp lit room and didn't have any issue not being able to see anything. you should remember when watching on a phone because of the small screen it literally needs to pull every trick in the book including HDR mode to even look "ok".

I think "never watch this movie" is a bit harsh personally. also forgot to mention above, the tiny amount of body horror and the use of practical effects as well as CG was well done.

  • Is this the band that sung Girl From Mars?

  • Well I watched it without skipping through. It was.. ok. Very B grade as expected.

  • I thought its Ash from evil dead, that guy is legendary
