Apple iPhone 16 Pro 128GB $1,519.99 Delivered @ Costco (Membership Required) (Price Beat $1,443.05 @ Officeworks)

620

Price dropped another $10. Available for price match at Officeworks again for a total of $1,443.05

Stack with:

I'd call/visit Officeworks in the morning if you were keen on price beat - history predicts that they'll lower their price by 99c in a couple of hours once people start price beating.

When will Officeworks stop price matching Costco I wonder……….

This is part of Mother's Day deals for 2025.

  • How many gift cards can you use at once….

Can you use 15x $100 gift cards in 1 transaction?

    • Yes you can in store

    • +6

It depends if you are shopping in-store, online or over the phone at 1300 OFFICE:

      • In-store: the OzBargain record is 44 in one transaction. I am not sure if there is a hard limit coded into Officeworks' checkouts.

      • Online: the Officeworks website will in theory only let you redeem a maximum of one Ultimate gift card per transaction, because the Officeworks website cannot split payments across multiple Visa cards. However, there is a long-running issue with the Officeworks website where you cannot use an Ultimate gift card if you are purchasing an item from the Technology category.

      • Over the phone at 1300 OFFICE: my understanding is that you can only redeem at most one Ultimate gift card per transaction.

    • Can you use 15x $100 gift cards in 1 transaction?

Depends on the staff, but yes you can.

ngl this is decent deal for iPhone 16 pro, esp if using GCs @ OW

  • hodl for 17 air……

128gb isn’t enough if you take a decent amount of photos and videos

    • Backup to google photos and delete from the phone.

      • $150 a year.

        • I pay $30 a year for 100gb. Have plenty of space left.

      • +4

I do that. I still find 128gb fairly restrictive and you’re regularly having to clear data/cache from apps. This is even when iOS dumps apps you don’t regularly use.

      • -1

It's not a backup if it's deleted off your phone.

I love it. Costco are straight playing with OW now 😆

    • +1

Yeah and OW will then beat Costco's price by 99c so they don't have to price beat. This is the second time now lol. Get in before they do.

  • +2

*only if it was a 256GB variant.

    • +2

      256gb is $1729 @ OW. Sadly they beat Costco's $1729.99 price.

      • Costco have dropped their price again. $1719.99 so should be $1633.99 from Officeworks plus the extra flybuys with OnePass (another $80 or so value).

  • Hi does anyone know if I chose to do this with a bunch of gift cards, am I still able to claim the product at TRS? Thank you!

    • +1

      Yes you can.

    • +2

Beware of the $900 per passenger tax free limit if you plan on bringing the phone back into Australia. They flag it on your passport and people have had to repay the GST upon return.

      • +1. Also depends how busy airport is when you return.

      • I shall thanks for the warning!

      • +1

True, but it is $900 per person for a group of travellers. Plus, once you open and use it, it is not that straight forward. I had a custom officer who got frustrated with me for declaring it, and let me go because it was opened and used, so not the same value anymore.

      • Can’t you claim the max $900 even if item costs more?

      • im yet to ever hear someone getting caught out by that for a single personal use phone. they only have that there to catch the big fish

  • Can you stack a tax deduction and also claim TRS? would’ve thought that you couldn’t do both?

    • +2

2 different types of taxation. One is income tax, the other is goods and services tax (GST).

Claim the proportion of the phone which you use for work, minus the GST.

  • Let’s see if Costco do the 256gb model now.

  • Note a lot of OW stores and the warehouse don’t have the desert colour anymore. Unsure of other colours.

  • Just got the last one in Black from the Warehouse at Officeworks.
No other colours available in Vic stores or warehouses across aus.

  • Thanks OP. Used Officeworks price beat over the phone for one of the last 2 (Desert Titanium) left in SA (Gawler Place). $1443.99 (1519.99 x 0.95).

  • I thought phones are getting better in quality and longer support from year to year, but I see phone ads day and night.

  • I cant remember the maths of it all sorry.. how does this compare to the JB deal that happened a couple of weeks ago? should I wait till the next jb sale?

  • Omfg

  • Price matched at OW for $1,082.99

    • How? That's way more discount than their 5% price match policy.
