@tresburrito: It does note: (b) Unactivated vouchers may lapse with no refunds issued. but doesn’t say after how long. Likewise with the vouchers received.
Regardless, I think this has run it's course and that we all know that they stuffed up, which can and does happen. No doubt, they have well and truely paid the price and learned a valuable lesson thanks to how popular it was here on Ozb!

so I ordered on the 24 May, it hasn't been 30 days since I tried to first attempted to activate the "used" voucher today 12 June :eyeroll:

  • I have received confirmation of a 30 day expiry on the replacement vouchers issued.

  • Inadvertently they refunded me and also sent all codes. Anybody know any time limit codes should be redeemed by?

    • in theory it is 30 days now. in reality they can disable them any second….same way as they did after sale started

      • Don't you think they've changed their attitude now that their customer service are sending out codes?

Does it officially mention anywhere about the 30 days?

        • +1

no. because they have not bother to reply me or TIO for anything
If I were you I used use all the codes now

          • @ggfatty: They resent me 15 codes. If I use them all now only to find out they haven't expired after 30 days, I'll regret it terribly.

            • @jimojr: How you got 15 codes? They just assumed I bought 10 codes "accidentally"band refunded me. 🙄 What a 💩 company.

              • @Micky14: I contacted them to ask why all the codes I received had already been used. They later emailed me asking if I wanted a refund or new codes.

            • @jimojr: You'll also regret if they expire in 30 days after not using them won't you

            • @jimojr: At a minimum, activate x1 and then prior to 30days since receiving vchrs, apply a second one to top up the first. That way you get close to 60days and utilises x2.

            • @jimojr: So it should be 30 days today, will you be trying one tomorrow to see if it's active? I have one that was issued to be on 16th, so i'm curious if they're actually disabling them after 30days..

              • @cheapass88: Good stuff as I have a couple and Interested to know how you go.

                • +1

@Borg: so i was sent a code on the 16h and just tested my code (18th) it's still valid..

                  • @cheapass88: Nice one, thanks for confirming. Yet to activate my reissued ones. Been a tad lazy but will do one later today :-)

              • @cheapass88: They're still valid as of today.

                • @jimojr: i gambled and didn't recharge until mine was expiring and still working as of today.

      • It was not 30 days when this deal was posted and most people bought. They changed it afterwards, very dodgy practices.

  • Has anyone ported in to Spacetalk? How long did it take? I just ported my number and my service has been gone but my number still not ported in yet. 😰

    • their port confirmation sms codes go to spam folder, yet another eyeroll about "your provider"

    • I ported 5 numbers before 24/05 without any issues, each one completed within a few minutes.

      • Looks like Just me got bad luck. 🥹

        • How did your port go?

          Did it get resolved?

Hesitant to port my number if yours wasn't sorted out…

          • +1

@movieman: It's ported in the next day about noon.

            • @Micky14: That's considered pretty good luck. Mine has been 2 weeks but still not ported, but at least my old service was intact so only wasted 1 voucher code for nothing LMAO.

They're trying to gaslight me by saying that 30 day expiry has always been in the Mobile Terms of Use page.

    • +6

tell them to prepare a hello from the TIO

  • +2

What a bunch of scummy twats

  • Just tried to activate a code, now says its invalid. Looks like ill have to go through the dramas to get this sorted. ffs

    • I'm still waiting for a refund LOL

      • +1

Email them and attention it to management.

        • I went through live chat, email. I get nothing. Live chat said they'd escalate. It has been about 2 weeks now and nothing.

In total I've waited since May for a refund.

          • +1

@Pikaloo: That's why send an email and in first line put, "please pass onto management" (customerservice@globirdenergy.com.au) and question why there hasn't being refund yet. Worked for me twice.

            • @Borg: Thanks. Sent. Shouldn't need to go through 10 different avenues just for a refund. This is worth a TIO report.

            • +1

@Borg: I can't tell if you're trolling me. I emailed globird, and they said they're not associated with Spacetalk LOL.

              • @Pikaloo: Oops (lol). I must have accidently pasted the wrong email address from clipboard. So sorry.
Should have been (mobilesupport@spacetalk.co). Apologies for that.

  • anyone has the original terms and conditions for this $1 plan offer?

spacetalk finally responsed to my TIO complain after 3 months but they changed their terms several times after our purchase

    current terms is blank 404

    • See This Post as it has a link (also noted here) to "Way Back Machine", which shows site as it was on 20-March-2025

      • thank you I will read through it. does not seems to have voucher expiry date in that

        • That’s correct, there was no mention of expiry date and was discussed somewhere earlier in this thread. It's the reason that link to Way Back Machine was noted.
