Is this Australain supplied stock with Australian Warranty ??

  • Would it be worth switching from a Pixel 6a?

    • +1

Nah, your camera is probably better than this lol

    • Pixel camera's are meant to be very good so I doubt it. Unless there's an issue with it like a worn out battery.

  • Any one tried their luck matching with OW, JB Hi FI or other stores ?

I got this phone on the deal a few weeks ago. Coming from a long term Pixel 7 user (which failed), been using iPhone 13 for the last 3 months. Until recently where the iPhone 13 developed the no sound bug. I rarely get impressed by phones anymore, having almost every Pixel up till the Pixel 7. Ive been pleasantly surprised by this phone:

    • The screen is amazing, especially for a LCD. Blacks look amoled quality. Only negative is it does not have always on display.
    • Battery life has been a major surprise. The iPhone and Pixel 7 would need charging late in the day, but the G75 only drops to ~60% by end of day.
    • Phone stays cool and lag free for all business use I put it through - especially Wireless Android Auto used to make the Pixel 7 a sauna.
    • Connectivity has been amazing. I was remote last week on Telstra network, I was able to get data on 4G where collegues on same network with Pixel 8 Pro & iPhones had no service. I've also noticed ive been able to keep calls in lifts where my previous phones would drop out. WiFi has also been impressive both for throughput and range supporting 6E, getting over 700mbps up & down with my Ubiquiti Wifi7 Pros on the 6GHZ band.
    • NFC works fine, no issues with payments on creditcards or accepting tap payments with Square.
    • Only drawback is the cameras. Not as good as the Pixel 7 by a margin. I'd say its pretty close to the iPhone 13 cameras. Tried GCAM ports but most are pretty unreliable and do not really improve the camera quality.
    • did you install any update? is this true? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16580327/redir

      • Im on the latest security update installed a few days ago for May. No issues or changes noticed to performance or batt life.

Completely different price points though between iPhone, Pixel and this one!

    • 5 dollars extra for month , same boat

  • How to get this without ebay plus?

    • +1

not possible. create a new account or pay 5 dollars, I think there will be a lot of offers on ebay this month so you can get it back in savings

  • Worth upgrading coming from G84?

    • Why ?

    • Not really, wait for another year or two for a much better phone. The camera is a little better on g75, but who cares. The speaker is a bit louder, but the speaker on g84 is better. G84 has 12g ram as opposed to 8. The only problem for me with the g84 is the screen is way too small. My daughter has the g84, i have the g75. G84 is dual sim, while g75 is sim and esim. I prefer dual sim when travelling. Esiim is only good once you land and for one more day max. If you can hold out for a day, physical sim is better. All these people that buy esims always get ripped by about 3 times over the price and get (profanity) all data. Local sim is much cheaper.

      • Esim is cheaper if you visit multiple countries. Local Sim is sometimes more expensive (New Zealand and South Korea were 4-5x cost of global esim.

        • If you go to Europe and buy a sim there, it will work in all of EU. Mostly talking about Croatia here. For example, last year we bought 3 month, 100 gig data sim for 20 euros. If you really need local calls one of your party can buy another sim that is way cheaper. Just takes up another slot in your phone. I bought one of those as well, but didn't end up using it. You can do almost everything with whattsappp and viber.

          • @c920996: Having esim+physical Sim is way more versatile. Local Sim might be cheaper in some countries, but esim might be cheaper in others. Using physical esim isn't really a solution either since it seems to be quite finnicky and doesn't always work.

If it is back order, is it possible for them to run out of stock? Like is it safe for me to buy in 5 days and not missing out?

  • Will TGG or Officeworks march the price? I don't have eBay plus.

    • +2

They aren't likely matching after-coupon price

Great device, bought one a month ago for $268 delivered to Melbourne.

  • Cheers - bought one. Too lazy to check eta 😂

  • Anyone have a g54 currently, or a edge 50 neo?

Mainly I'm asking about the g54 though. Camera wise how much of a improvement is this over the g54. Currently the g54 is my main phone but definitely planning to buy this asap now.

    • I have both.
      Positives of the G75:
Wireless charging (big deal for me)
      Much better performance
Wide angle camera, another big deal
      Wifi 6 performance
      Better display brightness control

  • Is this phone OEM unclocked?

    • It should work with all providers in all Australia.

  • +1

Just a small criticism plus for all posters, specify in title single physical sim +e-sim ( not two physical SIMs).

Too many people don't understand and it needs to be clear otherwise people keep thinking these phones have two physical sims.

May be a spiel on e-sims too, safety etc
