The specs not so impressive but thinking the price tag, not too bad for a toy to experience Windows 8 in touch ;)

  • thank you edmobile8

  • i wonder if it has 2 ram slots?

  • Its a Celery!

  • Nice price. I wonder if an SSD would help this thing to be usable or is the processor just too slow to be helped by anything. I wish the models with a detachable keyboard (making it essentially a tablet) were this cheap.

  • I have a C2D 2.7GHz with 2GB of RAM and they are both limiting; RAM is always near its limit and the CPU goes to 90% even for basic tasks

These machines would be comparable to it, reminds me of when I was trying to build a PIII256MB for a XP machine

  • This one same as the old netbook, it takes forever to do anything. Put your money on Android tablet + keyboard dock is much better.

    • i was looking at the benchmark and the 847 has double the score of a N570 atom. so i suppose it's good for those who only needs a netbook

  • Review of a similar notebook, goodish screen, bad battery life.

I have this got it on the Boxing Day sales and I must say its great for the price. You do notice sometimes the slowness ;) but its quite fluid. There's no lag on the touchscreen though it popping off ;). And the battery fuly charge last about 4hrs .Just smash it back on. But we'll worth I love it and use it everyday

  • great notebook for the price, too bad you cant upgrade the memory

  • Managed to get JB-HiFi to beat it by $12 ($370)

My little sister is gonna love it!

P.S. Good Guys Blacktown told me they wouldn't match it unless I bring in a catalogue, and Good Guys Castle Hill told me they don't match Dicksmith, since they're in liquidation. I think these 'Good Guys' make it up as they go along.

tell them if they keep up BS like that they'll be in liquidation soon too

      • no use talking to the front line shock workers
its the big guns who need to be brought down
        the fat cats
        running the bad guys
