  • @ARCTEL can we please have a coupon for the 100/20 plan?

  • -7

Been with Arctel for over a year now. Speeds are solid, customer service responds quickly, and overall very reliable. 10/10 from my experience.

    • +9

Good to hear - what's your location?

Edit: account is an hour old lol

    • Are you associated or affilliated?

I highly endorse this event and/or product.

          Arctel cured my Nana's gout

    • +1

@Hassanliii Thanks for signing up to OzBargain to tell us about your wonderful experience, 10/10 for your review.

    • Pretty sure they just launched lol

  • Will this plan increase in speed in September with the NBN Co speed increases or will it stay at 500/50?

  • +2

@ARCTEL Can I pick which port (e.g. UNI D-1, 2, 3, or 4)? Ordering via web workflow screen wizard doesn't allow me to choose which port to activate (or maybe I've gone blind). I'd hate to pick up the phone and talk to 3rd word call center.

  • +1

Superloop discount coming to an end this month so will throw my hat in the ring to try these guys out from Darwin. Slightly nervous for routing/ping but price is too sharp to not try.

    • Read back through the thread, they have like one POP, what do you think your ping in Darwin is going to be like?

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16848523/redir

      • Noted, but I had to give 30 days notice for superloop and they claim they're working on it in the next 30 days so we'll see. Had to move somewhere!

    • Just connected tonight for any Darwin folk who are curious .My ping has increased by about 10ms compared to when I was with Superloop to the few servers I tried (pinged from the router itself). Not bad. Can't verify outright speed as don't have a cable handy but getting 170mbs down on a 700~mbs wifi connection when standing next to the router which is not ideal. Haven't tried gaming yet.

  • Doesn’t seem like a modem is provided in this deal. How will I know if my current modem is compatible. I received it from my existing provider.

  • +1

    Hopefully not another spintel.
Leaptel has been great ($75 for 100/50) now back at $89.

    • Curious about your thoughts on Spintel, as I was going to churn to them today. I'm now considering this but don't want CG-NAT

      • +3

look up any spintel deal on here for comments.
Cheapest isn't always best (and far from it in my experience).

        • +1

I did whilst waiting for your reply :)

Thinking of going with Buddy, now…

          Cheers!

          • +2

@ASA: Buddy is ABB so, good.

          • +1

@ASA: I'm with Buddy right now on the 1 month free deal and no regrets coming from Superloop on FTTP. Would recommend.

          • @ASA: Buddy has been sold to Tangerine, going to be interesting to see what impact that will have on the service in 2026.

I recommend having a look at Neptune

            https://www.neptune.net.au/

            • +1

@shutuptakemymoney101: Ah I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up and the tip (I hadn't heard of Neptune, either)

              • +2

@ASA: No immediate impact on Buddy and nothing has changed yet but will be interesting to see what happens in the future. I think Neptune is definitely going to become very popular - $85 per month for 500/20 is pretty good especially with the features they are offering.

  • A few questions:
    - If I transfer from iiNet using their provided modem, can I reuse it for Arctel.
    - Assuming the deal is short running can I sign up now and delay the transfer since I still have 20 days on my currently billing cycle with iiNet.

    Thank you!

    • Hi,

Yes, as long the modem is gigabit compatible, you should have no issues.

You have a maximum provision time of 30 days at present, but this could be reduced further.

  • That premium modem for $250 that they are trying sell can be had for below $50. So don’t fall for that.

    • Where did you see it for below $50?

    • I bought the D-Link Viper 2600 off of FB marketplace when I moved house because I needed something to get started - it was single handedly the worst router I've ever used. Out of the box not supported anymore. Steer clear. I am surprised this piece of crap is still sold at a premium price.

    • We are in the process of refreshing the modem range, the “included” modem is a great box from D-Link.

  • @ARCTEL - I have signed up an hour back to start the service asap. Historically, with other providers, the switch has been very quick. Can you please confirm if the transfer will be completed today?

    • I did the same and I'd like to know this too

      • +1

I did call their helpline which was answered immediately and the person promised to escalate my request (they have received lot of new service requests today). And about 15mins ago, I got email that my service has been activated. I am not home to test it yet.

        • +1

Can you please do a speed test for us?

    • Hopefully your service is up & running? Any issues let us know!

    • How long did you end up waiting? It's taking forever

  • +1

Dang the rep is in the penalty box haiyaaa

    • +3

We are back, consolidated our two accounts, that one was our fault!

  • +1

What are payment options? Id appreciate Bpay as an option

    • Currently credit card, direct debit is on its way. I’ll check with the team about BPAY!

  • +1

I signed up at 11am and got connected at 4pm.

    • Thanks for sharing, hope you’re having a good experience!

  • +1

Are there any login details to check the service details and history?

    • Our “my account” will be up in the coming days & you will receive an invitation to login.

      • Currently a customer. Still no option to login to my account.. any eta?

        • +1

          Hi Casper,

We are working to have this launched in the coming week! For now, any issues you can email through &’our billing team will come back to you.

          Thanks for the support!

    • Arctel now has a basic rudimentary login for users.

  • I am currently on Superloop 250/100 plan for $85 per month for 6 months, then goes to $100 per month. Hmmm.

  • +5

Signed up at 11am, Internet swapped over just around an hour ago… Had to reset our Deco M5 system as this works with Dynamic IP, and now working perfectly, with 860mb download speed, not a bad improvement from 100mb 🤣

Also, spoke with customer support over the phone, very helpful and patient, and answered my call straight away!

Hopefully this experience turns out better than the Southern Phone deal the other month…

    So far, highly recommend!

    • +2

Thanks for the feedback! We will have some bumps along the way, but we are here to help.

  • Can I set connection to the future and still get this deal?

30 days notice for Superloop and im on the $99.

  • Would this network work well with home security cameras?

    • You would likely want to opt out of Cgnat and opt for a static IP, which they do not offer yet their rep said. Not sure if they're charging for static IP whenever they do offer them though.

  • Well I’ve joined the queue and shared the deal with a few mates, best of luck to Arctel.

OP: can we get referral codes before our connection is active? lol

    • Thanks! No referral codes as yet… but they are coming!

      • Can I refer someone now and get the reward when the system is in place?

  • +1

    Wow, that's cheap.

I'd churn but I need to keep on superloop for 2 more months for the cashback lol

    • +1

same here, but need to stay with Exetel for 1 month+, will give them notice start of Sep…guess I still have some time to wait for reviews to trickle in before I jump ship

    • +7

Can you share another 100/20 plan at $50? :)

        • +3

Be genuine. The $0 iinet offer is only available for people living in apartment buildings (FTTB) for new connections to the building. Not even close to the same product.

That aside, the cheapest alternative for me (I have HFC) is about $65/month for 6-months, making this offer $90 cheaper.

            • @Roary: Incorrect, we have multiple POP's, however for this initial release of our consumer NBN service we have routed all traffic via Sydney / Melbourne. Perth will be next to be enabled, followed by Brisbane, from which internet traffic will leave each POP directly.

        • +2

          Sure this one is free!!!

          Lol, its not nbn.

Newly connected Vision Network premises only

            • +5

@Roary: You've made your point, but I'll explain why it hasn't been received well. It was in poor taste to do your approach in a way that was not like-for-like because that's not useful in this thread's context; It is unlikely anybody looking for FTTB is going to come into a thread titled with FTTP or HFC.

              • -6

@RyanEditor: Fair. I didnt really think it was professional for the rep to say 'find another plan for $50'
yes its cheap.. but you really shouldn't be looking at the cheapest if decent pings or decent work from home is needed.

            • +3

              @Roary: You win !

  • +3

Anyone signed up in QLD? Just want to check the latency before switching.

  • +1

Service was just connected. 613Mbs down / 46.3 Mbs up. Holy Moly

    • +1

Speedtest with a cable , not wireless

      • Agreed. Unless you have a very good router and the device is next to the router for Wifi Speed Testing

        • Also make sure you are on the 5Ghz band!

  • Hey Team Triforce @ Arctel

Any plans to release 2Gbps in 2 weeks?

    • +1

Very likely, we are in the process of finalising the speed increase plans & bundles as we speak!

      • Thank you i look forward to seeing what your price will be

        Thanks for replying :D

  • +1

Signed up this morning and a few hours later the switch was done.
    So far so good

    • Thanks, great to hear !

  • The portal to pay just sits there 'loading' on Edge/Chrome PC/Mobile?

  • Hi, I have a kaon modem from primus. Can I use it on arctel?

    • Any gigabit capable modem should be fine.

  • Quick question regarding the 30 days notice. With the ISPs that say you need to provide at least 30 days notice, what stops someone sending them a notice saying "i'm giving 30 days notice of my intention to leave" but not have a date and then leave some date in the future - like 3 months, or 6 months etc when a good offer appears?
Surely it says at least 30 days notice, but nothing about giving long term notice?

    • I've asked this question before too as I'm with Superloop. A few people said that at the 30 day mark they will just disconnect you. Can't say I've tried but it sounds logical.

      • thats interesting, notice to disconnect shouldn't be authority to disconnect

      • Yep. They tell you they are going to cut you off 30 days after you tell them. I just churned day in advance.

  • +1

got 855 down and 47 up. Pretty solid but this is using my original google wifi mesh system so it's a little slow. Happy with this price!!

    • +1

Great to hear you're having a good experience !

      • -2

        855Mbs on a 1000Mbs is not a good experience.

        • +4

I’m thinking Roary… if you know the secret to giving everyone 1000/50 exactly, we should definitely hire you!

          • -3

@Team Triforce: Its alarming if you don't know that speed is impossible with the current 1000/50 nbn plans.

  • +2

Got connected yesterday, few hours after sign up. Speed around 860 down and 47 up via ethernet and around 600 down and 45 up via wifi in short distance. Customer service very helpful and responsive via email. So far so good.
