wow, what a pile of crap

    • +3

It's a pile of crap that runs a full OS, to be fair.

    • -1

Raspberry Pi has similar specs. :D

  • +15

That's an excellent price for the Gigabyte GTX670, and it's a great card !

    • +8

Yeaaah.. But it's the start of summer - do I really need a new heater??

    • +2

Next cheapest on StaticICE is $355 at MSY :-O

  • Can anyone comment on dealing with Centrecom? I'm pretty tempted to jump on this.

    • I actually ordered something from them 2 days ago which I hopefully get delivered tomorrow.

I wanted to make a change from my original order, called them up, spoke to someone on the phone who was very helpful and friendly. He quickly made the adjustment to my order (instead of having me have to log in and make a change) and then let me know what the difference to pay was.

So far my experiences with them have been good and I've ordered three times now — Hopefully the HDD I've ordered is all good so I won't need to RA it - but if I do, I will get to experience their after sale and be better placed to provide a more definite response on what Centrecom is like.

      • I've personally had AWFUL experiences with them and swore to never use them again. Took ~1 month to get a graphics card.

    • This is just with me dealing with my local store, but i've found they had good knowledge & decent prices, however they were extremely unreliable (same as 'theguyrules' took me a month to see my parts on SEVERAL occasions) and not particularly professional. I won't be going back to my local store again after giving them more than one chance, online i can't see why you wouldn't take advantage of a good prices though from a decent size company.

    • I've had mixed experiences. Generally I found the online staff good to deal with when I had to alter an order, but in store is something of a different story. It would depend which store you go to though, I assume.

  • h

    • Me too, that is 52% off evaaaaa from centrecom.

      • +1

Got the 670 myself, THANKS OP :)

    • Bought as well, if only to play Civ V.

  • +1

Almost bought the 670! I already have a decent GPU though and a bunch of new models are coming out in the next month or so, so I'll wait.

But if you're in the market for a card like this be quick, stock won't last…

    Check benchmarks here:

  • any review about the store? fast shipping?

  • Both out of stock. I am beyond pissed that they made me make an account to buy this and by the time I finished filling our their crappy forms it was out of stock :(

    • -1

      same here :(

  • Both are out of stock, the wind isn't really deal-worthy. :P

  • Goddamit. Missed out on both. And i saw this deal when there was only 2+'s.

Stuck at work and too busy to buy it :( I'm still using a 7800GTX ffs lol.

    • New GPU models set be announced by both Nvidia and AMD in the next month or so, should be some price drops then.

      • not nVidia

        • GTX 750 ti, at least.

Rumours put it either before or after AMD 9xxx series is announced.

        • +1

they brought more 660 stock online, managed to grab one!!

  • Just managed to get a gtx670, will go well in sli with my other one I got from umart for $405 4 months ago. Great price considering I was looking at the one in MSY'S clearance bin for $299.

    • +1

  • GOT A 660 for the MISSUS =]!!! blooody excellent price for 1080p gaming.

  • Damnit. If only I checked OzB the moment I came home instead of having a shower and eating dinner…

  • +4

I registered just to thank you for posting this deal to ozbargain. I've bookmarked the off-peak deals page on my browser but I forgot to check it today. I bought the GTX 660 (which is coincidentally the card I was saving up to buy) and given its price, I could not resist. I'm so happy I could get the card I wanted at such a great price!

    +1 for you, OP. :)

  • 660 ozbargained?

  • Missed the 670 :(

  • sigh :(

all have been ozbargained, i gotta learn to be quick, lol

  • +4

Yo guys, it seems some are back in stock.

The 670 is out of stock online, but still lists some stores as having stock. The 660 is also listed as out of stock online but will still let you add it to your cart, not sure what you can do with that. Many other products are back on the site as well, and prices don't seem to have changed. Might be worth checking out some stores tomorrow.

    • THANKYOU!

Just managed to order a GTX660!!

      Appreciate the post :D

    • +1

You got my hopes up! Nope, they're gone again. I must have just missed it, AGAIN.

  • Just managed to order a pair of GTX660s… must have come back into stock briefly… saw the deal earlier today.. but didn't go through with the order.. read a few reviews.. and was out of stock.. then all of a sudden, ordering worked… Look like its out of stock now though…

Even if stores show stock.. the price is part of the off-peak offers.. from 6pm to 7am.. so no chance of getting it in store…

    • ah lucky! i missed out…when I clicked refresh I got the page not found error so it's long gone now

  • Both cards have now gone back up to full price and have been removed from the 'Off peak deals' page. Hmmm.. what the hell are they doing? Price error maybe?

    • looks dodgy

  • For the 670 it looked like it should have been $329 instead of $229. But I'd be interested to hear from anyone who managed to order one.

I bought a laptop from them a week ago from the twilight deal page, ordered on Friday, had it in my hands on Monday morning. No problems with the transaction at all.

For anyone interested you can still get a 670 (Inno3d) from Evatech for $288.

Edit: They obviously messed something up because the 4GB version of the card is $10 cheaper than the 2GB version (which is now "in stock" for online).

  • +1

Seems the Gigabyte nVidia GTX670 2GB OC is back instock $229, Just picked one up….cheers OP.

  • Hmmm… I guess they've sold out of their cheap allocation… already of both…

I've had really good deals from them in the past..

I guess.. its whether its a pricing error, or a just a very limited deal… I suspect the latter is true.

Occasionally, retailers get offered bargain basement prices on some cards when wholesalers dump (obsolete) stock , and pass on the saving to their customers..

If I get my pair of cards.. I can blame ozbargain for all the impulse buys,.

  • Holy cow.. its back in stock the GTX 670… Have to resist….

    • +1

      Don't resist, purchase purchase purchase!!!…. I couldn't resist.

      • Woohooo! Picked it up. Hopefully I won't regret it next year when the new gen comes out!

    • Resisting is for suckers. Just grabbed one.

      • I've got too many video cards as it is…

Hmm.. I really don't need another pair of GTX670s

But there's not doubt its around $70 cheaper than expected…

  • They're back and I just bought a gtx660. Hope this isn't a price error but something weird's going on!

  • Really interested in geting this to replace my ancient 5700. Just not too sure if it'll fit my Storm Scout 1.

  • got myself a 660 :D

  • I bought a GTX660. This will be a great update to my 9600GT I've been using since 2008!
For $147 delivered this is a great bargain, thanks for posting it.

  • +2

Someone needs to uncheck this as expired….Just purchased so def not Expired!!!

  • +3

Well, am I glad I came back to check. 670 purchased!

  • +1

Wow, I was absolutely shattered when the deal 'expired' during the evening. So glad I came back! Bought the GTX 660 and I can't wait to build my new PC! I can finally kiss my 8600GT goodbye! :')

Thank you so much for posting this deal OP! Made an account just to upvote haha. <3

  • +3

Damn that's a good price for the 670. I really don't need it though. Must. Resist.

  • +1

The Asus GTX 660 when heavily overclocked is almost 25% within the performance of the Gigabyte GTX 670 Model. Plus the 660 is really power efficient and runs extremely quiet.

$129 is a mad bargain. Btw any idea if I can pick up from store as well right away tomorrow morning. Also need to add a motherboard as well to my existing order to save again on shippng charges to a new order. Any idea on which no to call them to amend the order and how to pay the remaining amount ?

  • +2

I ruve you long time ozbargain

  • 2 x gtx660s just to try out SLI

    • Cancelled, ordered in the early hours of the morning. Kind of glad..

  • OMG I paid $300 for the GTX 670 from MSI just 2 months ago :((

  • Expired? :(

    • Yes.

  • Upgrading a 5770 to the 660.

Kind of regret not pulling the trigger on the 670. But performance to price the 660 was a better deal right?

    • +2

For sure mate, I did the same as you. GTX670 lured me in, but after compared price and performance, the 660 was definitely the way to go, and I only need a good mid range card. Very happy now, but was spewing when I thought I'd missed the deal. I'm glad they re-posted the 660

      • Could have bought the 670 but just above my impulse buy threshold and hard to justify with 660 being so cheap

  • The entire Centercom site seems to be down…
I hope these weren't price errors.

    • Working fine for me.

      • Strange, I still cant get to it even though it worked last night.
Oh well, I'm glad its just me. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Price is now $379 :-(

    • And it says in stock in store when it should have been ozbargained last night….. Another kogan?

      • +1

There's no way 670 will be in stock after ozbargained last nite with that kind of price!

  • The price of 660 and 670 are UNREAL. If this is not pricing error, then BIG congratulations for ozbargainer who got them last nite. I missed out :( ARGH!

  • Bought two last night

    Thanks :D

  • Awesome deal OP, impulse bought a 670 last night :P

Well I was already looking into building a new PC, so this just helped push me along a little bit haha.

Anyone actually had their orders confirmed? I suppose we won't know until they start shipping..

  • +1

    Welcome to OzGullible.

Honestly, if anyone thinks these are going to get shipped they are in for disappointment.

If it seems to good to be true, it usually is.

Centrecom think its a great way to get their brand into your memory. Misprice goods. Cancel orders. Mission accomplished.

    • +2

centrecom has had a history of misleading sales imo previously. Their last 2 heavily advertised "car park sales" where they listed 5-10 items really cheap had 100 people lining up at the door before they opened.
When in store - there was 1 of each item, first person grabbed 3 - 2nd person grabbed the other 2.
      SALE OVER

Even msy just puts these 1 off items on their clearance page without fanfare - if you get it - good for you but the dont bait you into thinking they have 100/1000's of them.
