Eneloop Standard Charger + 16x AA Rouge Battery Pack $20.99 (Plus $4.95 Delivery) = $25.94 @ DSE

4090
TAKE30OFF

Ok. Piggy backing from chuckwow's deal here (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/135845), found this even better deal on their website. Not sure if it's real or not, but I've gone through the purchase and got a confirmation.

Update: DSE may be shipping the charger with 4 batteries only, see comment below.

No idea why I bought this, now the time to read through the Ozbargainer comments and have fun :))

    Anyone else getting this message?
"The requested quantity for Eneloop Standard Charger + 16 x AA Rouge Battery Pack is not available for home delivery."
    I only want 1…

    • Me too..

  • +3

Honestly, DSE seems like a unofficial Eneloop sales agent. For the amount of Eneloop they sold why wouldn't they consider selling some decent smart chargers as well instead of having us to buy from Amazon??

  • Thanks op. Just placed the order.
BTW, I only received the tropical 8 pack just yesterday. Why did I get that!

This is it. I will not be buying anymore eneloops.
    (except maybe AAAs)

Cannot order, i think the deal is gone.
They must have took the deal offline.

The product site still says instock, but when you add it to cart, it says cannot deliver.

  • My order status is Awaiting fulfillment. Wonder if they ran out of stock awhile ago.

    • I use'em mostly for kids toys.

      • +7

You can also use them for ahem ahem…. "toys".

    • +1

I dont think anyone knows…. even for me they just sit there, now I will have more :)

    • +1

I got a torch that uses 4XAA batteries, a toy remote control that uses 4XAA, and a 100X microscope that uses 1XAA.

Don't need as many as 20 batteries so i passed on this deal.

    • +2

My Black Mambo Dildo uses 12AA's

      • +1

The Junior edition I take it as the Bubba edition takes 12 D cells.

        • Thers some posteres here that Im pretty sure need to kick start theirs.

    • +1

I have 1 torch that uses 2xAA, 2 torches that use 3xAA, 1 torch that uses 4xAA, a Zoom G2 guitar effects pedal that uses 4xAA, 4 clocks that collectively use 4xAA, 2 x 2.4GHz transmitters for radio-controlled helicopters that collectively use 12xAA, a micro helicopter with a portable charger that uses 4xAA to charge its Li-Ion battery, a micro radio-controlled desert truck with a portable charger that uses 8xAA to charge its NiMH battery (as well as 8xAA for the transmitter), a couple of other radio-controlled car/truck transmitters that use either 4xAA or 8xAA, and 1 x Celestron telescope that uses 8xAA for it's motor drive.

And I'm quite certain that there are a few things I've forgotten about.

    • +1

4x Xbox controllers (2@), 4 wii controllers (2@), wii fit board (4@), various remote and torches. Somehow I'm already using the 36 batteries I've already bought …. :)

    • Easy …

Camera Flashes - each need 4 AA Batteries … I have 4 flashes that is 16 Batteries one set … + a replacement set … so we have 32 batteries. Add the wireless transmitters and sender … each require 2 batteries … 5x2 .—> 10 more batteries we are at 42.

      2x wirelessmouse and keyboard (8 batteries), 3 torches (10 Batteries), 4 Xbox controllers/2 singstar microphones (12 batteries) 5 remote controls (10 batteries) , clocks in the house (4 batteries) , kids toys (20 batteries) , 2 rc cars + boat (30 batteries)

      -> Total 136 Batteries!

  • Just received an email advising my order has been shipped. That was quick.

    • Don't get too excited, my last order was "shipped" last year on the 27/12/2013 and they even sent me the tracking info and an email confirming the dispatch. 2 months later(10 phone calls+20 emails) I was still waiting. The item was not in stock and couldn't even be backordered, so they refunded the money(after many complaints I also got a $20 free gift card)

  • all gone

  • +5

Seems broken now, reverts to click and collect (which isn't an option as its an on-line exclusive) and Home Delivery is greyed out, have tried in different browsers, and incognito etc to try and clear the cache. So, as the kids would say Totes Ozbargained…but sweet deal nonetheless.

  • +1

nooooo can't home delivery. nooooooooo :(

  • Sold Out…

  • bought one!

  • not working for home delivery…tried 5 different times.

  • Got one, amazing, thanks!

Anyone got a good lead on a USB powerbank that will take AA batteries?

  • -1

looks like the warehouse is out of stock

  • Not working for me??? Says home delivery only but then selects click and collect and I cant order???

    • same here. Tried using chrome, ie and ff.

  • Damn, looks broken to me too :( oh well…saves me $25 I guess :p

  • why won't it let me select home delivery only store pickup without the discount?

    • is this still good for $30? never bought these before..!

    • Boycott DSE why? did you really think this deal would stick around indefinitely?

    • +9

      Time to boycott DSE.

Ozbargain 101: you snooze, you lose!

      • +2

        You sleep, you weep!

    • It's not secret, it's probably just how the system works, if inventory levels are warehouse are 0 it will be grayed out.

    • It is cheeky I'll give you that, but the deal couldn't keep going all day….

  • -1

Is anyone else having issues completing the transaction?

When i try proceed to checkout, it won't let me select Home Delivery (it's greyed out), and it won't let me do store pickup becuase it's not available for the product… :S.

Therefore it won;t let me proceed with the order… :(

  • Now deciding if the 2 x 8 packs for $33 is still worth it….

    • nope…

      • Yeah.. not happy but cheapest I have had before is $19.95 delivered for an 8 pack, so this is $16.50 is still the cheapest I have seen them.

    • It's still a nice price…

  • $29.98 + $ 4.95 (delivery) = $34.93
That is still around $1.75 per battery - plus charger.
Still the best Eneloop deal so far I reckon

    • You forgot to factor in the TAKE30OFF code which gives another 30% off

      • the above was meant to be a reply to sarakoth (code is not valid anymore apparently??)

  • Damn! i missed out

  • anyone checked if DSE Ebay store might have such deal on?

  • damn missed out! last time i bought was 8 for $20, my second set! this is an excellent price

  • Thanks, I cancelled my first order over the phone and got this one instead. Thanks.

    • no family discount?

  • Finally lost my eneloop virginity. Thanks OP

    • thats a good way to get an infection kid

  • Awaiting Fulfillment.

    • So is Liz Hurley.

      • Tell her to send me a pm then ;)

  • Now the question is what I can use them for. Wish they are 8xAA and 12xAAA.

    • Same here: awaiting Fulfillment.

  • +1

I ordered it very early but got Awaiting Fulfillment.

    • me too. Better not hold our breath!

  • I missed out

  • One of the few times I'm home on weekday - so happy that it was for this deal! I hope they honour my order - only ordered 1.

    Thanks OP.

  • Damn, missed out by a couple of hours :'(

  • Missed out. Anyone willing to share the love if they bought more than 1? PM me. Thanks

    • We still don't know yet whether we will miss out or not.

    • Condolence. Anyone who ordered more than 1 should be condemned for greediness.

  • got an invoice by email. says order has been picked and will be sent out today! yay!

    • And you haven't given this deal a + vote?

    • nvm , see post below.

  • My item shipped! Found the email in junk folder

  • Mine just shipped too:

    "This delivery includes:

    1 x Eneloop Standard Charger + 16 x AA Rouge Battery Pack"

  • Aww mine is still Awaiting Fulfillment, I hope that paying by paypal was the right way to get this deal.
as in I hope they dont fulfill all the credit card payments and cancel everything else, that does sound silly doesnt it lol.

    • -4

I hope for the same thing then. Would be silly if they did it that way…would there be grounds for class action if they did? Discrimination against PayPal and their users? I'll keep waiting and watching for now.

  • For those who had their order shipped, care to share the timestamp on the first Order Acknowledgement email from DSE? I got mine at 12:24pm but order is still 'awaiting fulfilment'. Paid by PayPal.

    • 11:51:01 AM EST
      Paypal using credit card

    • 12:34pm, 'awaiting fulfilment' and Paypal here.

      • Mine has been shipped - Ordered at 7 March 2014 12:10:00 PM EST

        • Just noticed DSE mail uses EST wrongly. They use daylight savings (Sydney/Melbourne) time.

      • Also awaiting fulfillment.

My order was placed at 12:17pm EST, email says they received the order, DSE account says awaiting fulfillment. PayPal, and linked CC

    • Order number 10020825x
      Paypal

      Sydney
      Shipped around 12:42

    • Mine is still awaitng fulfillment
ordered at 12:16pm Melbourne time pay via credit card. My email confirmation from DickSmith says 12:16 EST
