      Redpawpaw just launched today!

      yet you have testimonials already??

also, perhaps a list of sample/typical month's products might be handy.
No need to mention brands/names if you want, just list as
500ml Shampoo, 200g gravy mix, etc

So… how about answering how you already have testimonials on and before your launch?

        • +3

We did a soft launch last month with a small group consumers to test our processes and gauge the response. Luckily we got lots of positive feedback and so we decided to go ahead with our public launch this month :)

        • +4

How about you complain after you receive your box?

        • +14

The peons? Could you be any douchier?

        • +4

          something needs doing?

        • +1

          Zug zug.

        • +4

Peons is probably going too far, plebs or higher would have been acceptable.

        • endotherm, I agree with you here, but to be perfectly honest, I mince my words too from time to time, or struggle to get the right word out. I could easily see myself saying 'peons' accidentally (and with no mal-intent) just because 'plebs' escapes my tongue.

        • We all do it from time to time, but sometimes we pick a word which has a slightly more offensive connotation and end up paying the price.

        • be happy to

    • +1

redpawpaw - tried signing up - my suburb is not listed and it won't let me proceed. It's postcode 3188 - Hampton - only options are Hampton park, Hampton East or Hampton north - all of which are WRONG.

I can sign up with the WRONG address but who do I call to get it corrected?

  • +1

    wouldn't mind trying this

    sounds good for $5

    Just signed up

    • Thanks so much for signing up! :)

    • +2

      Just remember – it's not a bargain if it's not a freebie, and you don't need it… ;)

    • +2

Spot on. I had same question.

    • +3

      Looks like no

"While the contents of the box will be influenced by the questions you answer during the Create Profile phase of your signup, including the age and gender of the members of your household, we make no representation about the suitability of any products in the box for you or the other members of your household."

        and
"Can I choose or opt out of certain samples each month?

……There is no option to opt out of a given category….."

    • +2

      Hi there,
We don't send out any fresh or frozen products so you won't receive any meat.
While we don't currently have a function for you to opt-out of certain products, you do create a profile when you sign up which helps us to choose the best products for you.

Some of the products you will receive in the very first box which will be delivered in early to mid May will be
      - full size new premium jam
      - full size Mentos very berry roll

      and more!

      • Ok, signed up..lets see how it goes…

        • Thank you! :)

      • +8

        It doesn't sounds like $30

        • +1

True, but I'd be happy to get that for $4-$5, and just give away what I don't use.

        • +6

Do you do the shopping? You don't get much for $5…. let alone this includes delivery!

        • +7

Spending $5 on "$50" worth of stuff you don't want or need is not a bargain, it's just $5 less you now have for something you do want or need.

Interesting business model. Not only does the consumer have to provide feedback on products but they also have to pay for the privilege of trying products they may not need or want. No doubt a few will get hooked.

    • +4

      its like those makeup boxes

Interesting concept. So you pay twice the cost for not filling the survey, but receive a similar amount of products?
I guess you are getting valuable information on products companies want to test the market with. The alternative would be for a company to send out freebies I guess.

    • Yes we give you a $5 per month discount for taking the time to fill out our quick and easy monthly feedback survey. Our brand partners love hearing reviews and feedback from consumers and so that is why it is cheaper to sign up for the 'Trial & Feedback' package :)

      • +10

How many questions in the feedback?

        • +1

Exactly. I hope its not one of those 5 minutes of your time …. 3 hours later.

        • 3 questions per product x approximately 10 products. If you're answering honestly, it'd probably take you about 5-10 minutes at least.

    • So sorry didn't mean to neg you! Meant to be +1.

  • Is it something like PIN with free samples, but you'll have to pay?

    • +5

You get real full size products, not like pinchme which only gives sample sizes.

Here is my guesstimate based on safeway products.

      4.50 wipes
      4.00 Jam
      1.45 mentos
      1.45 mentos
      2.47 pancake
      3 Finish Tablets
      1 Sachet of Nivea moisturiser
      4.29 Keelong Chips
      5.90 Salt grinder

      Plus MOre?

      28$

      • +2

Wow! Great guesses - you certainly know your grocery products :)

The jam is $4.99 RRP as it is a premium product that is only just launching this month….made by SPC Ardmona but its a new brand and tastes fantastic. No added sugar too.

        • -1

Seiously - what constitutes "added sugar" in jam? Is it just fruit, water +- a bit of citric acid and a "natural" sweetener or are you talking through your promotional hat?

        • +1

Added sugar is sugar that is not from the fruit in the Jam. Heaps of other companies add additional sugar afterwards to make it taste better.

        • +1

          &.maybe.raise.your.chance.of.getting.diabetes,too.

        • +1

          Reply to Fatal:
The vast majority of jam has "added sugar" and many, probably most, "no added [cane] sugar" jams have artificial sweeteners OR fruit juice concentrate which is a marketer's way of saying it contains - wait for it - SUGAR.

Just one of many comments you can easily find on the web:
          Sugar's Many Disguises
"Sometimes fruit juice concentrates will be used, which sound wholesome, but usually the juices chosen, such as white grape, apple, and pear juices, are among the least nutritious of the juices. By the time they are “concentrated”, very little remains but the sugar.

Here is a list of some of the possible code words for “sugar” which may appear on a label. Hint: the words “syrup”, “sweetener”, and anything ending in “ose” can usually be assumed to be “sugar”. If the label says “no added sugars”, it should not contain any of the following, although the food could contain naturally-occurring sugars (such as lactose in milk).

          Agave Nectar
          Barley Malt Syrup
          Beet Sugar
          Brown Rice Syrup
          Brown Sugar
Cane Crystals (or, even better, "cane juice crystals")
          Cane Sugar
Coconut Sugar, or Coconut Palm Sugar
          Corn sweetener
Corn syrup, or corn syrup solids
          Dehydrated Cane Juice
          Dextrin
          Dextrose
          Evaporated Cane Juice
          Fructose
          Fruit juice concentrate
          Glucose
          High-fructose corn syrup
          Honey
          Invert sugar
          Lactose
          Maltodextrin
          Malt syrup
          Maltose
          Maple syrup
          Molasses
          Palm Sugar
          Raw sugar
          Rice Syrup
          Saccharose
          Sorghum or sorghum syrup
          Sucrose
          Syrup
          Treacle
          Turbinado Sugar
          Xylose

Remember, your body doesn't care what the label says, it's all just "sugar"! "

        • The sugar is to make it set I think - it's kinda the basic ingredients of jam - fruit plus sugar. The no added sugar ones use pectin instead of sugar.

      • +3

Sad thing is, out of all those items I'm only likely to use:
        Wipes (hopefully for my bum)
        Chips
        Mentos
Salt grinder (hopefully it has salt inside otherwise no)

        • +20

If your diet consists entirely of adding salt to chips and mentos, you're going to need more than 40 bum wipes a month…

        • Haha arse wipes

        • Hi Marquise, that's great that you are likely to use all those products - just the ones you mentioned are worth around $15. We will be adding more products too so there will be some surprises in the box as well.

        • +4

You wipe your arse with pino clean? Damn, what have you been eating?

        • hahahaha i cracked up. too funny ha ha

      • How did you value the 1 sachet of moisturiser?

        • -2

Lol some tool negged me for asking a valid question :)

  • Just signed up, now I'm devastated that I have to wait until the 20th to receive my first box :(

    • +7

I just signed up only to find that they don't even service my state. And you are complaining??

      • +2

dahhhhh! I used to live in Perth so I know how painful it is.

    • How do you find out when you receive your first box?

  • +4

Looks like an interesting concept, though what if I received a product (e.g. Gravox, which is on your website), with no real need to use it? Would I still need to provide feedback for it (which would have to be fake, if this was the case)?

    • +2

      Hi Mark,
That's a great point - thanks for asking!
While you do need to fill out the monthly product feedback survey if you subscribe to the 'Trial & Feedback' package, you don't have to review all the products. Definitely only want you to rate the ones you actually tried. Hopefully there will be lots of other products that you will enjoy in there.

Some of the products you will receive in the very first box which will be delivered in early to mid May will be
      - full size new premium jam
      - full size Mentos very berry roll
      - full size Mentos sugar-free gum
      - 40pk Pine O Cleen wipes
      - 200g Green's Pancake Shake
      - 2-3 Finish dishwashing tablets
      - Sachet of Nivea moisturiser (ladies only sorry!)
      - 100g Kellogg's cracker chips
      - Saxa salt grinder
      and more!

      • -5

It's a crime manufacturers still promote "sugar-free" as some kind of major health benefit. www.sweetpoison.com

        • I think that one is more to do with the benefit to your teeth when chewing gum, as opposed to a dietary benefit. But I agree otherwise.

        • Yeah true… the amount would be small.

      • Thanks, just signed up!

  • +4

"*Buy a 12 month subscription and get 2 months free" It could be argued that you pay $50 for a year and then get 2 months on top of that for a 14month subscription. Might wanna change your wording.

    • +1

Thanks for the feedback - I'll have a look at it :)

  • +4

Please update the title to include fact that you do not deliver to WA at all. I just signed up only to find that you don't deliver to my state. Why is it that you can't deliver to WA?? We are not a separate country over here. Will you send me an email when you start to deliver to me?

    • Did you pay or just sign up?

      • I just signed up. You cannot proceed with the Perth postcode. But now I don't know if I will be informed when they begin to ship to Perth

    • Hi there,
I will definitely update the title to let others know we don't delivery to WA yet. Thanks for the suggestion.
At the moment we are shipping from our warehouses located in Melbourne and Sydney. The deliver rates to WA are too high when shipping from those locations unfortunately.
However, we do plan to ship out of Perth in the coming months so if you would like to be notified when that happens, please click on "Keep Me Updated" and enter your details so we can add you to our newsletter where we will post updates such as when we start shipping to WA.

      • Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I cannot use the Keep me Updated option because it tells me that the email field must be unique, but I already joined your service so I cannot re-enter my email address.

  • +1

Still no answer to the question of "what happens if you don't complete the survey?"

Will they slug you and extra $5 & move you to the $10/mth subscription?

    • +1

      Hi!
Thanks for asking. The reason we have two subscription options is so subscribers can choose if they prefer to just receive the samples and not fill out the survey, which is $10 per month or $100 per year, or if they want to take advantage of the discounted prices and spend around 10 minutes each month providing feedback on the products they tried. This feedback is collated (no individual feedback is shared) and provided to the brand owners so they can gain valuable insights directly from consumers.
We won't slug you an extra $5 if you don't fill in the survey so don't worry but we will remind you a couple of times and then invite you to join the "Trial Only' package if you decide the survey option is not for you.

  • +5

No Paypal, how do I check they're not scamming for my CC details.

    • Hi Tonka,
We use eWAY as our payment gateway which means we do not store any credit card details at all.
We are also waiting for our SSL certificate to be loaded onto our site today so if you check back tomorrow you will see that we will be fully verified and safe to deal with.
      Hope you decide to join!
