    • +1

      Do Microsoft make CPUs?

      • +33

        Yes. They make them…slower

      • Nope, that comment is lost on me too.

        • +3

wow I must have been really tired !

  • +4

So what i think ill be doing ~ Pricematch at officeworks from MYS as there is no other local cheap stores to price match from and there is only a small difference from other retailers.

Life chat Lx-3000 RRP $49.95 OW PM from MSY = $27.50 with $15 cash back = Total cost $12.50

Lifecam studio RRP $99.99 OW PM from MSY = $55 with $30 cash back = Total cost $25.00

Desktop wireless 5000 RRP $99.99 OW PM from MSY = $ 54 with $30 cash back = Total cost $24.00

    • Sound like a good plan !

    • Just successfully PM'd 5000 on the phone. Hot damn the lady is so nice and kind and awed me with her provision of customer service. Maybe it's just me having the past couple of weeks with DoDo and Origin customer service.. but props to OW!

  • does anyone know the SKU of the officeworks 3500 mouse? http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/microsoft-wir…

    • +1

      GMF-00006

      • how'd you find out?

        • +2

I've got two on my desk in front of me after buying them from Officeworks this morning.

        • sweet. thanks. price matched to ~$15 + $7.49 cash back = $7.50

looks like i'm taking a trip to officeworks today too then

        • did you happen to see if they sell the 4000 in store?

        • Didn't check, was only interested in the 3500 and the wireless comfort 5000. Both were in abundance at 7:30am in South Melbourne.

  • Explorer Mini Mouse 5BA-00007 — RRP $99.95, Cashback $29.99

How old is this mouse? PCLAN did a clearance sale almost a year ago for $9.95. A damn good right-handed mouse with 5 buttons, metal 4-way scroll wheel, and Blue LED tracking. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/108060

  • Love this deal. Been saving me money for years :)

  • +3

Where can I find a good deal on Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop? Officeworks sells it for only $1.95 below the RRP, any better deals out there?

    • I would also be interested in that

    • pccg sell this cheaper

    • as does umart
just picked this up for 90.25 after PM

    • The cheapest I've found is itspot.com.au for $78.90:

      http://www.itspot.com.au/microsoft-l5v-00027-sculpt-ergonomi…

      • With delivery to Melb (No pickup) it'd be $94.5

        • Ah yeah, I'm an idiot. Didn't look at delivery fee.
With delivery it's $94.85 which would price match to ~$90.10.

    • +1

Was able to get one today for 80.56 after pm using the price at http://www.skycomp.com.au/sculpt-ergonomic-dsktp-usb.html

      • That's weird that they let you price match a price that doesn't include delivery. I was told that they only price match an online store when cost of delivery is included (which in this instance would make it a total of $96.50 with registered post).

I guess it depends on the staff member…

        • Thats the same one I price matched.

Get them to go to the "contact us page", and skycomp have a pickup address+times, after showing the dude that, he said "ok".

Thats assuming you're in sydney though…

    • guys i can't see the sculpt ergonomic in the product list…does this mean it's not covered by the cashback offer?

      • ah, i figured it out. it is on there just the RRP is missing a digit :)

    • +1

Paid $84. used tammex.com.au for Melbourne. About to use it.

    • Price match mine at OW from ARC Computers as they had stock in NSW (Chatswood)

Came out to $78.35 after the price match.

Here is a good list to check and print out when u go there.

In case anyone here is not aware of the Dualshock 3 & 4 Xinput drivers:

    http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4-To-XInput-Wrapper
    http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4Windows-yet-another-DualSh…

They'll let you use your Playstation controller as an Xbox 360 controller in Windows…

  • I'm looking for a blutooth mouse, the stores participating doesn't seem to have them, but on the list there seems to be plenty. Could anyone give me suggestions?
    Thanks :)

      As I mentioned above:

I bought the Sculpt Comfort Mouse (Bluetooth) for Microsoft Surface Pro (1) from JB Hifi for $38

  • -1

Waiting for Centrecom to do some deals.

I have not had a good record with Microsoft mice. It seems they all go faulty on me. Logitech not much better.

They're going to have to pay ME if they want me to use any more of their products. Kind of like Norton 360, but even that's not enough to get me to bite.

  • Out of luck trying to get the xbox360 wireless controller for windows. Only EB sell them and they didn't want to pricematch with $44 from HT.

  • Bought Sculpt Touch mouse from JB Hifi, price matched GoComp for $30 (OW too far away to justify saving $1.5). 30% refund on $59.95 RRP = $30 - $17.985 = $12.015 total. Pretty happy with that.

They're not the best mouse in the world (BT can be a bit funny, depending on drivers and the touch scroll strip takes some getting used to), but hey, for $12, who can argue.

  • The best mouse I've ever had is the MS 6000. Always comes up on the MS site, but OW and HN haven't carried it for years! If it wasn't for the rubber falling off after many years, I'dd still be using it today.

  • -1

Wow, damn it. If only I bought my Surface Pro 2 and Type Cover 2 now instead of 2-3 months ago.

    • +1

Surface and Xbox Accessories are excluded from this offer.

  • Bought 2x wireless comfort 5000 from OW Fyshwick. Canberra CBD and Belco have none, and as off 3pm Fyshwick has only 2 left

  • So the only Microsoft compact or tenkeyless keyboards eligible for this are:

    Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop (Separate Keypad)

    Wedge Keyboard
    Sculpt Comfort KB
    Arc Keyboard
Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 (Separate Keypad)
    Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000

    Sidewinder X6 (Removable Keypad)

  • bought the Scutpl Ergonomic desktop (kboard/mouse combo) earlier at Officeworks. Will cost me about $45 after cashback… very happy with this deal.

    • What did you price match with?

      • tammex.com.au as i'm in melb.

  • +1

Officeworks in sydney is not price matching Umart, they say its grey import and its shows only 1yr warranty instead of 3 on their website. But they price matched umart last year but now they are bluffing.

    • Price matched the desktop 5000 fine at Officeworks Burwood, although they also counted the 7 dollars shipping with it

      • +1

there is no officeworks in Burwood

        • vic or nsw?

        • Sorry Officeworks Five Dock

    • Depends on store/ person- some get fussy, others don't seem to care.

  • +2

Anyone have any luck trying to find the xbox 360 wireless controller for windows anywhere? Need it for my xbox but can't find it in JB, EB or HN. This deal from Microsoft doesn't accept xbox 360 accessories right?

  • hmmm The Wireless Desktop 3000 (MFC-00026) rrp is $129.95 on
    http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-au/p/wireless-desktop-3…

Their cashback site states rrp as $79.95… some dirty deeds are happening here.

  • If I order 3x Studio Webcams from officeworks in one order, will I be able to process 3x cashback claims with the same receipt?

    According to MS T&Cs :

"For multiple purchases on one receipt, each product must still be claimed individually"
    and
"Each person may make up to 3 claims to receive the offer. A separate claim must be registered for each individual Product purchased."

So hopefully 1 order for 3 can be submitted as 3 claims.

    • +1

yes I called them and asked and they confirmed that is what you do

  • can the webcam be use with skype on strong srt an40m android tv box?

  • Wireless Desktop 3000

Price match @ Officeworks from MSY website, after price match guarantee: $44.65
Cash Back on Wireless Desktop 3000: $26.99
    Cost: $17.66

What a bargain! Thanks OP for highlighting this deal.
(Clicked and typed using my brand spanking new Wireless Desktop 3000 lol) Nice bit of kit.

  • Errr… where is EB Games in the drop down box of the form?

Participating stores for the offer are Harvey Norman, Domayne and Joyce Mayne, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Dick Smith, Officeworks, Bing Lee and EB Games.

  • I received this response by email

EB Games are not a participating store in this promotion. We can confirm that the Microsoft Online Store and Big W are included in the list of participating stores. The Terms and Conditions are being amended to reflect this.

    Kind Regards,
    Microsoft Cash Back Team

  • I remember I paid $7.50 after cash back for the wireless 5000 desktop keyboard in mouse in 2012 the rrp used to be $150 found my old receipt now they are $ 25

  • +2

Even though EB Games is not listed in the pull down menu for claiming the cash back, it is still listed in the terms and conditions as a participating retailer (point number 9).

I called Microsoft about my claim as I bought it from EB Games, and they have allowed my claim to proceed as it is still on the terms and conditions, just had to select another random retailer in the pull down menu. They also asked me to send them an email to say that I have talked to them about it and the reference number of my claim.

    Hope that helps!

    • Same here, sure hope it goes through ok.

  • Pricematched Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop (L5V-00027) @ OW (pitt st) for $80.56. With $38.99 cashback, brings it to $41.57 for a pretty reasonable ergo keyboard+mouse combo (not a big fan of the mouse though).

Gonna give it a couple of weeks, might order a second for work if this one works out.

    • +1

I got the sculpt comfort desktopat OW for 67.34, price matched against Megabuy. So with the $27 discount it is $40.34

  • Just put in my claim.

Like a couple of others above I had purchased at EB Games. Sent [email protected] an email highlighting that the T&C's listed EB Games as a participating store but it is not on the Retailer drop down list on the submission form.

    Received this reply:

    Thank you for your email.

Please accept our apologies for this error. When registering your claim, please select one of the other retailers in the drop down box and your claim will be processed.

I was quite surprised that the confirmation number was only just over 500, I thought more people than this would have claimed already (with 180+ votes and 4500 clicks).

  • I ring officeworks number and try to price match a lifecam. They lie that MSY website shows no stock. I did not check until I hang off the phone. The website shows stock available!!! Going to ring them again tomorrow morning.

  • Anyone had any luck getting a WIRED xbox360 controller for Windows from anywhere? Found it on the MS Store, but hoping to get it cheaper. JB say they don't stock that item anymore (online and instore).

  • Available at EB games for $36 dollars. Also the wireless ones are available for $49.
Anyone confirm if they were able to get cash back from EB games xbox 360 wireless controller?

    • Sadly, EB Games has been removed from the T&C "Participating stores" list.

      • True. I received email from microsoft to confirm that as well.

"EB Games are not a participating retailer in this promotion. The complete list of retailers can be viewed at www.microsoft.com.au/cashback. As part of the Harvey Norman group, Joyce Mayne and Domayne are also eligible retailers.

        Kind Regards,

        Microsoft Cash Back Team"

  • Thanks for the heads up - I picked up a Lifecam Studio from OW today (price matched Umart's $58 -> $52.20 - for whatever reason they gave me 10% off rather than 5%?). Sub-$25 after cashback sounds pretty good to me.

I have to get around to using the mice and keyboards I've bought in the past with these deals!

  • Just got myself the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 800 PM'ed ($20 MSY) at OW. Paid $19.00 on my ING so with 5% rebate it becomes $18.05. With Microsoft CB of $11.99 it works out to be a total of $6.06. Bargain.

    • Not bad at all although I seem to remeber they were free or even free plus a few bucks last time around/
      Still a good deal.

  • Dont forget to claim your tax deduction for work related expenses, if the purchase is for work related purposes.

  • Did anyone got xBox 360 wireless controller for PC from any of the participating stores? I could not find it online from their websites.

  • just received my cashback - lodged forms on the 27th May

  • I could not find the xbox 360 controller for PC in stores except EB games who were selling it for $49, but no cashback.
Got it from shopping express ebay store with 15% ebay discount on Sunday.
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Xbox-360-Wireless-Controller-for-…

Surprised Microsoft says this retails for $49 in the cash back form, but are selling themselves for $59.

  • Does anyone know what claim number they are up to? Still waiting for a claim number just over 700

    • Claim 600ish received recently

Was for EB games controller before they changed terms. Only received $12 instead of $15. Not sure if want to chase them up over $3.

    • Got $30 back, so I think they have gotten 2 of my regos one in the 700s others in 1400s (3 straight numbers) so hopefully soon

  • just registered, claim 2910
