I swear that exclusions list gets longer and longer every time.

    D*ckheads.
Yeah I'm totally going to trawl through your inventory to find the corresponding product code. You just lost yourself a potential sale already.

    • +20

I'm sure Dick Smith is at home crying over the money he lost from your sale.

      • +14

He sold it in 1982 to Woolworths, who closed 100 branches and sold it in 2012 to Anchorage Capital Partners, who attempted to sell it less than a year after acquiring the entity; to no avail.

Whoever the current ownership of DSE is, I doubt they have to much celebrate over, especially not the dismal sales performance of DSE and the fast-shrinking retail market in general.

Dick Smith is at home crying

Your cute remark is unintentionally spot on, as Dicksmith Foods is going under as well: Dick Smith says company's 'days are numbered' as local suppliers disappear.

        • +1

The people who bought shares in it.

        • Thats sad, they make really good jam

        • +1

          NOT THE JAM!!!!!!!!!

        • +3

"You lost yourself a customer, Moe!"

        • Love how hard you try and how salty you get over a 12% deal that you were never going to buy anything anyway.

          Nice try tho.

        • I love how you term me taking you down a peg from your ho-ho-ho high chair as "trying hard"; do continue spouting irreverent one-liners for the "lulz", tho.

a 12% deal that you were never going to buy anything anyway.

I might have, but this is just another straw on the DSE camel's back (the exclusions); which has a long, sordid history of shady practices and lame promotions. Precisely the reason why DSE has been going down the tubes for the past year and a half.

You seem intent on deflecting from a valid point with childish quibbling. Maybe residual butthurt from something I said previously? Maybe I tried "so hard" it resulted in you having an original thought. I don't know. If so, I can assure you I meant no harm.

        • -1

Here you go again, them salty tears are so cute.

          such tryhard

I love how cut you got by a comment about how insignificant you really are in the grand scheme of things, then you tried oh so hard just to try and get back at someone on the internet.

Keep going, show us how butthurt you really are.

The PS4 + Wolfenstein bundle isn't on their website, all other PS4 bundles are 'temporarily out of stock' (with the NBA 2K14 being pushed up to a rather ridiculous $647.98… what a 'bundle deal').

I mean, I really shouldn't be surprised at this stage… yet I am.

  • +1

Gift cards don't work with code this time around… looks like Dick learnt better from last time!

    • +2

Dick gains new experience each time from exposing itself to the public (US).

I had a bad experience with dick recently. Scarred me badly.

Seriously though, deceptive and or incompetent, overseas based order support.

I might have been the one that dick let slip through the crack.

    Dick really sucked for me.

Coupon code "JUNE12" is not valid. With HTC One M8. Just like on the weekend.

    • +1

Yeah there are a lot of other items they 'neglected' to tell you they exclude from the discount… and if you only have one of those items in your cart it will give that error

      • +3

But, hey, it brings the traffic to their site. Mission accomplished.

    • +1

How is this an appropriate use of a negative vote, there are heaps of items here for which the code works.

  • need some eneloops :(

PS4 Controller for $56.30 seems like a great deal!

    • add p/h

      • +1

        $61.25. Still pretty good!

        • +1

          $61.25 is cheaper than ozgameshop…

And if you buy two, you'll qualify for free shipping (I think).

  • +1

Assassin's Creed IV is only $47.50 on next-gen consoles and $30.80 on PS3. They don't appear to stock it on Xbox 360. Not online anyway.

  • +1

they might as well jack up the price of everything by 12% and put the +12% discount up there permanently because this is what it really feels like.

  • Trying to buy a PS4 controller, but the coupon code is no longer valid. It was working when I first entered the cart, as I start the checkout process it is no longer valid and now it's not valid in the shopping cart either.

    • When I log in, the voucher is no longer valid. Log out and it works. I have never used this voucher before, but on the weekend I did buy a PS4 with a different 12% off voucher. The terms and conditions don't mention anything about it not being valid for previous customers.

      What a joke.

  • AS long as everyone complains but still goes to the site they won't care to much.

  • Might be useful for the Microsoft cashback offer if MS stuff is included: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/145801

  • Any deals on Microsoft Stuff for:

Always wanted a Logitech G602 wireless mouse, it's now on discount @ $55 and after 12% discount + delivery brings it to around $53.4 - probably the lowest price on the internet right now

  • +1

It doesn't work once I logged in with the code on Any product.
It appear to work when I didn't log in..
What is this.. I got black listed?

    • +1

Had the same issue. Signed up for a new account and worked. Pain in the ass, but for a $56 ps4 controller worth it. Grabbed it with an xbone controller with play and charge kit to get free shipping. $135 all up.

  • He still gets royalties from them, obviously. 12% perhaps?

  • Sony HX60 camera is cheap again at $351 delivered. The similar Canon SX700 is $299 ($100 off) in their paper catalog, but oddly the product is not in their online store, so can't try the 12% discount on it :-/

  • -7

Doesn't work for Chromecast. So neg.

  • +1

The flyer has pictured samsung galaxy tab 3 8" 16GB (TA8006) is included but fine print says excluded????????????

  • Just ordered a ps4 controller and a chrome cast for $105.30 delivered.

  • Chromecast is not on the exclusions list but also not apply the discount. Already sent an enquiry to Dicksmith and no reply yet. I really think they should keep their words and give me the discount.

    • No use, they have no interest in sticking to their word!

Called them up an hour ago and they said they'd call me back, hour later still no response so I checked the exclusions page again and they'd slipped the chromecast in there!

Moral of the story: buy from JBHiFi

    • DSE, the new Harvey Norman.

  • jeez…what's the deal with this 12% discount…starting to get my nerve…let's see some proper discount please, cuz i could give 12% to any of my customers any day ..

  • Used the 12% and free delivery factor to get a price match from HN on a new Sony KDL70W850B which includes the PS4, freakin awesome!

    • A good deal and screwing over Harvey Norman. The holy grail of bargain hunting.
