http://www.any.do/ is a great little "To Do" app which I use on Android (It's available for iPhone, Chrome and Web to, however I haven't tested the offer on other platforms).

Download the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anydo (I used play store), register and create a couple of "to do" items. Now mark those items off as "complete".

You will now be congratulated on completing your tasks and emailed a $5 credit for the Amazon App store. No other strings.

Whole process should be <5 mins.

With the $5 you just made, you can now buy more apps to distract you from the rest of your to do list.

    I was already using this app. So I uninstalled and installed it again to get the promotion. very easy and got the code.
    credit must be redeemed and used by august 24th .

        created with another email and pass, as it said this email already exists. But once it wants to send u the promotion code, you will have the option to choose any email to be sent to.

      It shows you that when you swipe it horizontally, it's marked as complete.

      The email said I needed to use the Australian Amazon store so I'm guessing that's why my code wasn't accepted. About to switch my account back and check it out.

      I didn't create any extra, just used the example tasks that came 'pre-loaded'.

      Looks like some people had had to create a few more.

    Here's my take:

    Use the app from Google play as linked above.
    Register on the logon screen in the app.

    Create 2 random tasks. Click the top right menu 3-dots and Plan. Tick. Tick. You may get betting or amazon reward or nothing. Rinse repeat as needed. Same tasks can be unswiped and used again.

    The KIIP reward (as above) is what you want to see. You need to type your email addy into the tiny field and send. Took about 3 minutes for the email to arrive for me.

    Note: you won't see the credit in Amazon.com store MUST be amazon.com.au

    And it looks like the Amazon App Store version is different to the Play Store Version.. I reckon this deal only applies to the Play Store version.

      Yep, once I disabled the app "AdFree" and restarted the tablet, I was able to get the rewards following spillmill's instructions above, took maybe 5 tries.

    If anyone is having trouble redeeming the code in their app store (something like "Code cannot be redeemed at this time"), you should try transferring your kindle account over to amazon.com.au. You can tell if it's not transferred if the "Gift Certificate & Promos" page in the app store refers to amazon.com.

    I transferred over my account by logging into amazon.com, then going to the "Manage Your Content and Devices" page found under Your Account. Can't remember the exact steps, but it prompted me to switch over when I went to the page. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the app store and logged in again and applied the promo successfully.

        For some reason the balance doesn't come up when in the app store. But if you go to the website click on any app and click "Redeem a promotion code or view your balance" you can see the balance.

    Anydo used to be a great app till they started to monetise it. Now it constantly crashes, logs you out and lacks basic functionality that made it great. I moved on.

    some thing weird with amazon appstore switch from usa to au!!!

    Now can buy apps from both countries (free apps only tried) but the 5$ code not works (in au)

    The code wouldn't redeem for me using the Amazon App, even after switching location to Australia.

    What did work was to browse to any app on the website, for example:
    http://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B004XDYJRU/
    Click the "Redeem a promotion code or view your balance" link on the right and submit.

    took me 3 minutes to get the code, but strugling more than an hour now to redeem it. done everything. just reinstalled the app store and still cant redeem the code. so not worth the effort.

    They should do something about all of this country changing. This happens everytime something amazon related is posted.

      I noticed this too. It's because of the KIIP promotion feature. Notice how your email address is pre-populated in KIIP when you redeem the offer?

    What a horrible, horrible app. So iPhoney. Plus signs everywhere, nothing remotely intuitive, just random symbols everywhere.

    A message popped up saying 'You have received a reward' or something similar, then it said 'Error contacting server' and nothing happened.

    Waste of time for me unfortunately.

      Give it a second or third try when tasking. You may try to kill the app and restart it. That way it works for me.

    Took me ages to find something to use the $5 on that I hadn't already got for free in an amazon promo. :p

    I have "completed" a bunch of tasks but I can't see any "plan" or "redeem" button.
    Nothing!
    EDIT: OK you MUST get this app from Google not Amazon.

    I tried a lot for newly created amazon account (changed from usa to au and able to buy free au apps), but still not working with 5$ voucher code.

    Weird that Amazon are so slck with their app store. Most things are versions old, many are missing. Its like they just dont care about it, yet they are always promoting it.
    Does this credit last for a while? I coulnt find anything.

      It's not Amazon, it's the developers' (and Google) fault.
      If developers use Google API's for the Play store version of their app, they have to rewrite the app to use Amazon API's or open source API's.
      There's less users on Amazon's appstore, so there's less incentive to continue development.
