    First time eneloop buyer. I also bought a Panasonic CQ-CC18 from eBay so I can charge the buggers.

    Is there any suggested care guidance to make them last eg charge them then run them flat before recharging? Or chrge when not quite flat? Does it make any difference?

      Dont concern yourself that much, in your lifetime, youre unlikely to notice any difference. Having the right charger is far more important. Beyond that, youre good to just use them.

      Even at 1000 recharges, thats nearly 3 years of use, if you recharge every 3 days. More than likely you will recharge once a month at most, so thats … x31, carry the 4, allow for wind …a lot of years. And 1000 is assuming youre halving their life expectancy, you wont be. These will be outdated tech before they stop being useful. Just charge as you need to for convenience.

      Each compartment can store 4xAA or 8xAAA, so it can store 32AAs and 16 AAAs. They do have bigger ones, but you'll have to ask them how much they can fit (or work it out).

          contrary to what many people believe, postage isn't calculated on what the item inside is worth - it's based on dimensions and weight. and $7.20 is actually reasonable since a prepaid 500g ebay satchel costs $7.15

          @bamzero: those retailers like gearbest, tmart, banggood, dx and all that have a special contract with china post to offer such absurdly cheap/free shipping. but the catch is, you have to wait a long time, about a month, for your parcel to get to the aus post sorting centre. and this is a sore point for many people who whinge that it takes too long. well what did they expect for something so cheap? lol

          yes, it's the same guy delivering it to your mail box, but there's a whole lot more going on prior to it even getting to your postie.

    I ordered 1 x AA and 1 x AAA; today I received the familiar padded white envelope which contained the AAA. the AA arrived in a separate, small cardboard box, no padding. This is what $2 gets, it's own box haha.

    Dick Smith are hit and miss at the best of times.

    Still waiting for my eneloops purchases on the 9th/Oct. ( 12 days and counting ) gonna request refund ( again, now 2 of my orders are awaiting fulfillment )

    Just very poor management and staff just can't do anything about it, just pass on waiting messages.
