According to "2014 Adobe Digital Index Holiday Shopping Prediction", as posted by Business Insider:

Click Frenzy, the big Australian online shopping day of the year, kicks off the Christmas holiday shopping season this month with spending predicted to top $189 million in just 24 hours.

I am not too sure. 2 years ago there was a lot of media coverage (but the site crashed). Last year the site survived the traffic, but didn't see any outstanding deals and the general response was lukewarm. Haven't seen any major media coverage on this year's Click Frenzy yet…

  •

I haven't heard from any of our retail clients on deals they want for click frenzy. I blame it on Shopping Express because they create a click frenzy at least once every month so this particular one is not really anything special.

  •

    Click Frenzy……….more like Click Teaser

    •

      No. Just Crap Frenzy.

    •

      Clock-teaser is about right ;-)
Though the AUD dollar dipping does up the price of electrical imports.
I think Amazon has had some good deals though.

Last Click Frenzy, there were 45 deals posted on OzBargain with 9 of them making it to the front page. So Click Frenzy does contribute some extra deals.

i don't know if its gotten any better, but the first few click frenzies sucked.

  •

Doubt it will be any good. Probably only 20-30% off most stores.

Just a reminder for today — Click Frenzy related deals please tag with Click Frenzy.

Should be interesting to see what deals come up. Thanks OP for posting the info as I had no idea what it was about.

Dont forget to go through cashrewards first for some of these sites ;)

  •

Didnt even know it was on till I saw an article online. Doesn't look like its getting much advertising traction and based on the past events being faily benign, there probably isn't much excitement as there was the first time around.

  •

It's pretty ridiculous that the traffic from this has some how managed to take down TransLink's website (public transport in Brisbane) as well as AusPost's… I've been trying to track my delivery since 12 and the website keeps timing out. I can't even do anything on TransLink's.

    •

How has this site taken down translink? I'm on it now and it's fine..

      •

It seemed to clear up pretty fast, but before all it said was something along the lines of our server is currently overloaded and unavailable at the moment.

  •

Not sure if I like to admit it or not, but they actually have some pretty decent sites/stores on this list for this one. I hope they are some good standout deals though

Billy Guyatts still exists! Bring back the 80's memories!

  •

Not really impressed with Click Frenzy this year. There's no stand-out deals, especially with Dick Smith. Far Cry 4 PS4 for $69, JB Hi-Fi has it for $69, $55.20 with the signup bonus. Chromecast for $37, Harvey Norman has it for $33(?). Eneloops for $14.98, meh.

  •

Another frenzy worth missing. Mr toys lego sale is the stand out for me. Don't pay 79.99… Frenzy price is - wait for it…. $78.00

Meh. No deals. What a surprise…

I got a Google Opinion Rewards survey. It said "Do you plan on shopping in Click Frenzy?" Or something like that.. I said no and got 18 cents and then went off to find out wtf click frenzy was. I think no was a good answer..

% of deals that made it to the front page (>20 votes) remained similar to last year and the amount of ClickFrenzy deals increased by 60% 16%. 3 of the 12 front page deals were non-official Click Frenzy deals while the remaining 9 were real.

We also had a bit of a milestone reaching over 1,000,000 pageviews for the first time. Way more than the average day.

EDIT: Numbers counted unofficial deals so have edited it for consistancy.
    EDIT2: I can't count. Adjusted frontpage deals by +1.
