True but other than the physical address all other details will be fake, and I can handle some spam items in my physical mailbox the bin isn't too far from it

        • @Japius: yes, found even if you get the Suburb wrong but postcode correct, the postman will deliver it correctly. e.g.
          Bat Man
          PO Box ****
Gotham City NSW 2027 , it will still go to your point piper post office

So how will this prevent spam?

The first two dont have any cashews in them http://imgur.com/IfrSpPe

        • +15

So… how did you decide they all had cashews?

        • There's only one Nut here but it isn't in the ingredients of the chips…

    • +9

      Because cashews are friggin awesome?

    • +2

Why do they put cashews in all their dips…

      Makes 'em sound more luxyewwwwrious.

and helps justify them charging nearly $5 per little 150g tub as normal price…?

      ;)

edit - I reckon they taste good as far as dips go, but I find a tub doesn't stretch as far as non-chunky dips. The chunkiness (with all those nuts) is clever. Kinda forces you to scoop a heap out per chip/cracker than you ordinarily would with a smooth dip (which you might only have to dip in for a very light coating). So basically, the Red Rock Deli tub disappears before you've even reached the bottom of the chip packet, while other dips last for a few packet of chips or crackers etc.

Sucks when the RRD dips come in smaller tubs and are more expensive. I stick to Yumi's dips. LOVE them. and Aldi dips (exact same thing, same factory I bet).. eggplant, spinach, beetroot, sweet potato and cashew, olive etc. SO GOOD, and like <$3 for 200g. Dairy and gluten free too. Nom nom.

      I think I've found jv's kryptonite

    • -5

Nice to see so many people here think that having a nut allergy is some kind of joke.

      • +2

I also have a nut allergy, don't swing that way :(

        • -2

I don't think you understand what I was saying. Obviously jv or someone in his family has a cashew allergy and he gets multiple negs for saying he'd have to pass on the deal.

        • +5

@unity1: You're assuming that jv's negs are all related to the content of his post, rather than the simple fact that he's jv.

          :P

        • +2

@unity1: Poor jv, all he wants is to be loved and to help the community, and to know that its genuinely free.

        • @Spackbace:

jv is a she isn't she?

    • Dear Diary….

  • Looks good. Thank you OP.

      • +1

Good question. We won't know till we try them.

        • +63

They are chopping boards made of wood. They will taste woody.

        • LOL

        • +1

If they taste of wood, will they smell of weed?

        • +7

@altomic: It is the 21st Century. Many guys like the taste of wood now. (Not that there is anything wrong with that)

        • +1
        • @altomic: wood they?

      • +3

I love these dips. They taste good.

      • +1

52 total neg votes in this deal (and counting).
JV… you must be the most hated person on Ozbargain.

        :D

        • I think it's love/hate. Ozbargain wouldn't feel right without seeing jv in every second post.

      • Does anyone feel remorse when jv is humiliated?

        • Nope.

I suspect he is fueled by negs and I appreciate his input whether its constructive or borderline trolling

  • Beetroot & Fetta barcode 93475266

    • are they all the same barcode? - if they get posted they will ask for verification

      • are they all the same barcode?

        no, the barcodes are unique

        • +3

          No, jv is unique.
And thank you for the most entertaining conversation in the morning jv.

      • I've participated in a similar promo 2 years ago with the same dips, and yes, they asked me for the receipt.

        • did you have to post or scan/email the receipt?

        • bloody good too.

      • +1

That was the last thing I looked up before the dips.

  • +2

    Thanks OP.

  • See flavours here., $4.93 here. Which flavours would you buy? I'm having a hard time choosing. http://m.woolworthsonline.com.au/Search?search=Red+rock+dips…

    • +19

if you can't choose, you might have to try a lucky dip!

      • +1

        lol walked right into that!

  • Dang. I thought from the photo it came with cheese. Just a board. Oh well.

    • +2

Still edible though, and pretty nutritious as it's still in its raw form

  • +1

damnit i was reading it as chessboard, damn monday blues

  • -3

You could buy the chips, take a photo/scan the reciept, submit claim, and get a refund for the two packs of chips.

Free cheeseboard, and if you already have one then it can make a decent housewarming present.

    • +2

First of all, they are dips. Secondly, morally, it's not a nice to buy something and return it with the intention of getting the freebie only, thirdly, i wouldn't give this as a house warming present because it looks like it has the Red Rock logo embedded on the board.

    • +1

      don't you mean dips?

    • +3

Yes you could but that would be dishonest and deceptive, possibly fraud, and if you bought chips you'd look like even more like a complete mug when they reject your claim.

  • -1

Link is dead at 1 pm 2/2/2015

  • I'm a bit of a detail freak sometimes… noticed that the board stuffed full of goodies in the picture is not actually one of the boards they are giving away. Look at the placement of the embossed logo and the cut-outs for their containers… they don't even use one of the cut-outs for the containers… I wonder if their containers actually fit in the cut-outs anyway… you'd think they would…

    • -2

so if the dips don't fit the cutouts properly you think there might be a bit of a dipstick problem?

    • +2

      Of course they wood.

  • +6

Just noticed these are on sale in the up coming woolies catalogue as well.

    • noooooo :( bought today.

  • +2

OK, I'll bite. Will buy some when they're on special in a couple of days.

    Catalogue says 150g $3.60ea SAVE $0.99c [$2.40/100g]
    4/2/15 to 10/2/15

    Thanks!

Also; I'm hoping these are better than Ebola Dips (Disclaimer: Purely for the troll, these are probably great!)

I see that you have to "upload photo of receipt" in the online form submission after you put the receipt no. I didn't see that before!

    • yea pain! i have to go back to safeway and get them to print it off!!

      • Were you able to get it?

I went through a self checkout and pressed to not print a receipt, it was a bit further away than my local store and I don't want to go back to be told they can't do it :(

        • i called up and they said it should be fine, as long as you know the exact amount of your transaction. im going tonight to get it, i will let you know

        • @lemons4lime:

Thanks mate, I'll head there now myself and report back too.

        • @c0balt:

Well I managed to get one, but because I never printed the original receipt there's no receipt number - it says 'repressed'.

So I'm not going to be able to fill in that field.

Going to have to send Red Rock an email explaining the situation.

        • @c0balt: howd you go?

  • Would a Woolworths online order count for this promotion?

  • Why does everyone feel the need to use bold formatting? You can make your point without using bold.

    • BY SHOUTING??

    • -1

I believe its use is ironic around here- ie. it's totally unnecessary and the member/s who oft use it know it is, but continue to do it anyway because the are aware it's unnecessary, and, in a dry (possibly self-deprecatingly comic way), makes them come across as a bit of a patronising arse? Bit like an olden day mild troll, perhaps? Or maybe they're a bit like a comic-relief character… they enjoy having their shtick in a group, even if it divides opinion and creates equal number of haters as fans.. maybe they like being the class clown, or maybe they like being bullied a bit hence their routine baiting by the content of their posts? A bit of a light masochist?

Or… that could just be how the person talks IRL (using lots of emphasis on certain words), thus they feel the need to replicate that in written word?

Though I'm sticking to my former psuedo-psychoanalysis/guess :P

I should note I have no problem with such person/s. I find them amusing if not curious to think about. An enigma. I like enigmas.

    • +2

I'm sorry does this annoy you?

      • Yeah but can you triforce?

      • +5

I think it's more annoying when only certain words are emphasised. Forces you to read it that way in your head.

Like imagine you are calmly reading this sentence in your head as it's written on the screen and then suddenly all these words are bold for no reason which makes you almost shout in your own head intermittently like so.

Reminds me of the high school teacher dude in Daria.. his eye would bulge with red angry vessels as he'd emphasise certain words while talking. I hear his voice in my head when I read jv's posts sometimes..

        • +1

I always read jv's posts in the voice of the character Roz from Monsters Inc and Monsters University

  • Chilli & Lemongrass is awesome. I have been buying that for a while.

  • Are we supposed to receive an email confirmation after you submit the web claim? Haven't heard anything since submission.

Has anyone actually received their cheeseboard yet?

    • Didn't receive email confirmation and haven't heard anything either. Hopefully it will turn up soon.

    • I didn't get a confirmation email either. But on the terms and conditions it says: Successful claimants will be notified by email. All rewards will be delivered in 8 weeks.

    • +3

I rang RRD last week. I can confirm that NO email confirmation letter was sent to anybody. They are collecting all the claims and will send notification to successful claimants all in one go. Crazy!

      • -1

I'll learn my lesson and not participate again. The dips taste awful anyway :-(

  • Has anyone received their cheese board yet?

  • Nope, anyone want to update if they have got it yet.

  • Just received email regarding my entry being received and I should get it "delivered by 14th April"

  • +1

Thank you for entering the Red Rock Deli Dips free Cheeseboard promotion.

Your entry has been received and the cheeseboard will be delivered by 14th April if you live in a metropolitan location. Delivery may be a day or two later for regional entrants.

The cheeseboard may not fit into a standard letter box, so if you are not at home when the post is delivered, please keep a look out for an Australia Post note to collect from the post office.

On behalf of the Red Rock Deli Dips team, we hope you enjoy entertaining with your Red Rock Deli Dips Cheeseboard.

    Regards,

The Red Rock Deli Dips Team
