Digital night vision can be good for certain situations
This is very cheap but can be returned within 60 days I think for a full refund
You can also buy more powerful IR torches but not sure what kind is compatible with digital NV
If I manage to get one I will post a review here

  • Why is this s bargain?

It rubs the lotion on its skin…

  • Runs on 3 lithium Batteries type CR 123A. So expensive to run? Anyone buy one last year? Any good? Still on talking terms with the neighbours?

    • I got one for hunting, burns though the batteries, and they are expensive… bought some recharables, but the charger I got for them was no good…

good for a bit of fun…

      • dunno even how to get mine to work……mine are from the 70's tho….. powered from a vehicle…..

I already had a one and they are pretty crap I return after two days. You can only see as far as infrared torch will shine. I had a pair of Russian first-generation Military night vision with 15,000 light amplification and you could see any distance without the use of the infrared torch. The cost of these were about $600 though but 10 times better.

    • I have a PNV-57 possibly like yours, they were supposed to use the IR lights on the vehicle and are not starlight systems….

  • Which generation of night vision of is this ?

    • +2

      S.T.A.L.K.E.R generation.

  • What is the point of this device? My neighbour picked one up and couldn't tell me why. Maybe for paranoid campers so you can pick up zombies at 80m without using a torch? It's no good for wild life as video is crap and the stills would be very ordinary, plus the low range and magnification would spook them. Plus the IR is in the range visable to some humans and animals would definately see them. One of my dogs chases the Yamaha remote all of the floor when bouncing to the amp, and they can see UV as well. I imagine other mammals would see similar IR or better.
