        i always keep a prepaid visa with like $5 left on it, for verification charges, always works.

      • PROBLEMS ACTIVATING MY SIM (had one from DSE):

        1. able to create new acc't, select mobile no. & apply voucher-code without a hitch.
        2. after, at first, having some trouble locating the Amaysim SIM that we have here… -didn't- activate that SIM when it asked if I happen to have one already (I can't get it to ask that again).
        3. can sign into acc't (& see my selected plan & mobile number)
        4. NEED TO ACTIVATE SIM, but can't!!!

        For reasons beyond me, Amaysim want you to choose one of several types of Activate SIM procedures.

        None of these seem to work (so far).

        It verifies my SIM's ID # but then goes on to give me only TWO (2) alternative actions to choose from:

        1. transfer your mobiled (from a another carrier) XOR
        2. activate a REPLACEMENT SIM

        Somehow it forgets (while I'm at the above point in the maze) that I've selected a mobile no., & asks me to select another!

        I guess I'll have to wait for Live Chat to open later today…

        (Why isn't this SIMPLER?!?)

        I'm left with a bitter taste in the mouth over Amaysim's apparently broken Activate SIM module(s) of their web app maze. YUK!!!

          What's with Amaysim putting $5 credit [that lasts for 90 days, per their app] into the account…?

          PS The phone is good:

          For each outgoing-call, it offers a choice of Mobile or Skype
          (just once -or- always).

          So, for 30 days we can choose between umlim'd calls in AU -OR- (via Skype) unlimited calls to 40+ countries, at the tap of a screen-button.

          (Oh,we had a 12-mon unlim'd Skype subscription)

          Actually, where I have MyNetFone installed (as well as Skype)), they offer my VoIP (ie, MNF), not Skype.

          When I make a call on the $40 Huawei Y550 & previous Android phones, it always asks whether I want to use phone, Skype or Voip. Unless I choose to make an option as Always, the choice is mine.

      The credit card is required so they can keep charging you :P

      im confused, i had 4 sims on my amaysim account, and i added this fantastic deal, then i got greedy and did it twice more, and it worked, they are sending out 3 sims on same account, for a grand total of 7 sims on one account??????
      i thought the max was 5, anyway im expecting a rejection but theyve already issued me the numbers ????????

          yes your right but i ordered 2 sims for friends, they arent for me, but yes im sorry if i caused offence, but only one of the sims is for me, i should think before i speak :)

      Yes, you can. Click "My plan and data" and untick the auto renew option. Click "My payments" to remove your CC info. Enjoy.

        • @lokesh7: Yup, verified email, checked again this morning, sill not showing. Down the left hand menu I have 'Overview', 'My Payments', 'Personal details', 'Help & Support' and 'Logout'.

          I don't see "My plan and data" within any of those.

          "thats's because you have not activated the sim card. you just created account. so when you received sim card and make the frist call with it that is when service is activated and you will be able to see My plan & Data"

          Not sure how you can see it haha.

    My experience with Amaysim just before they launched 4G was pretty bad, Unable to make calls or browse the net at peak times in Perth CBD and SMS fail to send randomly.

      Yep they're on the Optus network which has terrible coverage and congestion.

  • Please be aware, all SIM cards purchased from Coles will not be able to use this code. It will automatically apply a code to make the price to $17.90. I used a SIM card from WOW, and it works with this code. OP, if you can please update the post. Thanks.

      Coles involves picking up a SIM.

      Other deals use a different code entered in same site used by this deal.
      Sadly, I bought same 5GB deal for $12 @LivingSocial & need to order the sim by 10 June.

      Restriction on LivingSocial deal was "Available to new amaysim customers only" - oops!
      Will try signing up as family member, email, cc etc to avoid issues.

          I'll keep my primary SIM for the inbound number and texts, but swap out the free SIMs as they come for data and private calls.

          I really miss my Samsung Note 4 now… Zenfone sucks…

  • Got mine thanks. At my home in Perth Amaysim has cr*p coverage and I won't use it but will use this upon my arrival in Redlynch, Cairns for a respite from the Perth 'cold' and can only hope better coverage there.

    Anyone know if there's any way to reverse that and just be assigned a new number instead? Or should I call em tomorrow about it?

    I still have some credit ($11) sitting in Lyca Mobile, dunno if I can get to that if my service is ported away before using it?

  • Wow! Amaysim look keen on snapping up new customers. I don't need any more, but +1 for the good deal from me.

    Hope in an attempt to sign up 300K new customers by December, their network doesn't go pear shaped like Voda's was 2-3 years ago.
