Went into an office works store today to buy a google chromecast and it was $24.50

The Google Chromecast connects directly to the HDMI port on your TV and allows you to use a smartphone, tablet or computer to play your favourite entertainment onto your TV. Use your portable devices like a remote control and search, browse, play, pause or rewind your videos on your TV screen.
The Chromecast plugs into your TV via a HDMI port then uses your home WiFi network to connect to your other devices.

    I managed to get 3 (one for each TV) using click and collect. 1.5 hours later I received the email ready to pickup. Great deal and was really simple to pay and collect.

    Ordered at 11.50am for Click and Collect from Officeworks Prospect (Nailsworth), still haven't received my "ready for pickup" email, a bit annoyed about that to be honest! here's hoping I still get my order :)

      I ordered on my phone and it said sold out.

      I tried again on my PC at work and it went through. Checked my email when I got home and there was a confirmation of order but not pick up.

      Hope I dont get that refund email!

    Spoke to West Gosford shop and they confirmed they had stock, but the price has reversed to $48.

    Well I got my confirmation a few hours ago but not ready for pickup yet. Confirmation says expected delivery 18th July so hopefully they restock soon and send an email for collection.

    I put two of these in my cart earlier on but it wouldn't let me complete my order so I called and was told "This was an incorrect price they should've been $48, customers who ordered more than 1 will get a phone call or money refunded". Bugger just missed out then, even though I can still see the order in my cart.

    Was going past officeworks in Marion SA around 1pm and picked a few up. There was a whole bunch there ( approx 50+ ) in one of their big rectangular sale boxes near the front counter.

    if anyone has a photo of stock listed at 24.50 in store post it.
    It's a bit too easy to say it's a price error if the price was only on the web, but if it they had employees put up prices at stores that's a bit harder to refute.

          Whats the point though. Noone will pay more than 50 bucks shipped at the most. Out of 50 bucks you have to post it, thats 8 bucks or so. 42 bucks minus ebay fees, so thats about 38 bucks. Then the person pays by paypal, thats about 2 bucks in fees. you're making at most 10 bucks a throw. Then some upstanding human being pays by a stolen paypal account or says they didnt recieve it etc.. and you're dicking around for hours on the claim.

          Its just not worth it anymore

          @Matt P: totally agree… ebay just not worth the effort if you get a current selling item for 50% off. Your lucky to get 10% return assuming no fraud transactions are processed. Then you have to sell 5 more to cover the cost of the 1st fraud.

        Haha :) I know people have received their chromecasts. And I'm very happy for them since I think it is a pretty decent product.

        I was just saying that it looks like the whole fiasco came from a mistake because their eBay says "This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing." OR maybe they just "accidentally" sold more than they have in stock :P

      Given there was a large prominent box of them in Store near the Exit with a HUGE $24.50 price tag it would be odd to be a price error. The ones at Marion store werent even security attached. Just a massive box with about 50+ in them and the reduced price . A few staff commented to me that they grabbed a few also

    We ordered around lunch time and we still havent received a email confirmation. I thought it waws just slow. I hope we still get it. Last time when people didn't receive a email their orders got cancelled.

        The email confirmation never came but last night we received an email with the invoice and this morning we got an email saying it was ready to be picked up. If they taken your money and not refunded you I think you have good chances it will eventually come through.

    I got one at OW Milton just as the price readjusted to 48. The cashier manually discounted to 24.5 because he felt bad for me. Another guy was buying one at the next counter and he also received the discount but i heard the manager say "this is the last one we put through".

      Newsletter isn't going to help if it's one a day. You'll need to subscribe to categories and check your email ridiculous amounts all day if you want a chance at some deals.

    I am so frustrated, all I want is to buy a Chromecast on sale. When it was in their catalogue for $39.95 I got the "stock is arriving this afternoon" etc. I went into the store no less than 4 times. By the time the stock arrived the sale had finished. Why wasn't the stock in place BEFORE the sale? Now I buy one and it gets cancelled.

    This is seriously bait and switch guys.

      Spoke to an aftersales rep yesterday querying about my order of 2 - she said 1) my order won't be cancelled 2) More stock will be shipped out in the coming days to the respective C&C stores for customers who had purchased online.

      Just a waiting on the confirmation email for pick up now.

          Spoken to a guy, he said it's automated system that rejected my order etc, and he tried to speak to the manager as well. At the end he said that the supplier cannot supply so many quantity at this price.
          I said "it's unfair for the customer" then the guy can only say "sorry can't do anything, maybe considered it's bad luck"

    Surely they can't say it was pricing error etc when people have seen them in stores at this price,surely they can just cancel orders for no reason maybe no stick etc? How good is there online store stock as store I ordered from says in stock now and at the higher price but yet I'm still waiting to get word when I can collect,but yet they send some out to people,sell to people in stores and contact people to come collect there order,let's just say the have a fight in there hands if they cancel mine girl no reason seems to be a bit of a shambles to be honest,are they thinking what should we do with this guys order.

    So I managed to order one of these click and collect at 9.45am yesterday from a Sydney CBD OW, got my invoice immediately and got my ready to collect email this morning. Just got back with a CC in my hand, the staff were complaining how they were not allowed to but it at $24.50 but in my case at least they honoured my purchase!

      I'm not sure what happened but with some peoples orders having been cancelled I'm not waiting around. Called and got them to set my 2 aside to hold for me for tomorrow. Didn't tell them I had already ordered but we'll see what happens.
