Edit: Banggood have restarted the deal! So everything's back in stock, and sale is back on until Ausgust 23.

Edit: Back in stock! and now $16.54 AUD instead of $16.63 AUD - probably due to better exchange rates?
Ozbargained. They're currently out of stock. "Expected restock on 19th August" - that's after the sale expires (16/08). I believe orders are still going through, except orders may not be shipped until after August 19.
Can also be purchased from Gearbest thanks alucardvv for $16.26 with 8% cashback - thanks cdhiren.

Good price on the Xiaomi 10,000mAh powerbank from Xiaomi. Beats recent deals at $17.86 and $17.64 from Banggood previously, and also the Romoss and MSY deals (yes, we've seen a lot of power banks these past few days).

$11.99 USD delivered. $16.63 $16.52 AUD is the exchange rate on the Banggood website. Fight over the best exchange rate at your own discretion.
Shipping takes "7-25 business days" according to the website. Last time I ordered with Banggood I don't remember it taking any longer. The general consensus and feedback from previous deals is that Xiaomi products from Banggood are genuine. This is cheap if you don't mind waiting. Maybe worth spending a few more dollars for Australian stock with faster shipping.

Note: Slightly smaller than the older 10,400mAh model from Xiaomi.

Edit: +4.8% Cashback from Cash Rewards -> Brings it down to $11.41 USD or $15.73 AUD

      tough crowd

I'm all for the pricing, but is the extra dollar or so cheaper worth it when delivery time is so slow?

    • Indeed. 2 weeks and counting from my last order placed with them.

      • +1

way better than geekbuying. 5 weeks delivery time is normal for geekbuying. i still have not received my replacement unit from them since april (the date they claimed to send out).

        • Has anyone else ordered from them recently? What's the average delivery time once they mark it as shipped? The tracking number that they've given me is useless as the status froze about a week ago.

    • I bought one recently, it took 22 days to arrive (yesterday). No complaints, the battery and the price are good.

      • Was that 22 days from when you ordered our 22 days from when they shipped it?

        • +1

Just went through my emails, it was actually 21 days from placing the order, 20 days from when they said they shipped.

  • +1

These are the newer 10000mah which are very small and contain only 3 cells, I'm not sure if the Australian sellers have these yet. Xiaomi's powerbanks are top quality, highly recommended.

    • They were on offer about a month ago - I got one then, very nice as you say. Also work well with their fan and LED light, button let's you switch them on and off.

  • But are these genuine though? I don't know who to trust these days…

    • +6

Banggood is 100% legit. Just look at the online reviews or comments of previous posts.

    • +2

banggood sells real xiaomi stuff…I got a couple of items from them and the authenticity code checks out from the website.

    • Thanks gentlemen, I'll keep my eyes peeled on a Xiaomi Yi then!

      • +2

I just got one from Mushtato, extra couple of bucks, but banggood are rubbish to deal with for returns and there have been problems with the yi.

      • Was $79 at the previous ebay sale… au stock aswell

For those that want to know the differences between the 10000mAh or 10400 mAh:

the old one used 4x 18650 batteries inside to get 10400mah. (2600mah each)
this new one only uses 3 and promises 10000mah.
and their 16000mah one uses 5x 18650 cells.

The old 10400 ones used samsung/lg 2600 cells
new ones use panasonic/lg 3200 cells.

you can find reviews on the pro/s cons of the 2 types as I believe its not a linear difference between 3200/2600.

You can also get an idea of size with this.
eg. this new one is 3x batteries wide/ old 10400 one is 4 wide.
the 1600 one actually wastes a bit of space as it stacks 3x2 but leaves one space empty as it only has 5 batteries in it.

    • 10000mah reportedly using sanyo 3400mah (brown tops)

  • These look really thick. I like the slim ones.

  • +4

Man up and get the 16000mAh one.

  • Just got two of these. Cheers mate!

  • +2

Just a reminder, capacity at 5.1v is only 6250mah.

The 10400 (bigger old version) is rated 6650mah at 5.1v

    • 10000 vs 6250? Thats a big difference!

      • +1

boosting from 3.7v to 5.1v is huge. We're not breaking the first law of thermodynamics here.

  • If the 16000mah ones were on sale id snap one up

    • I got one of the 16000 and it's a gem

  • Just ordered from allbuy last week :(

Good deal, Gearbest Xiaomi 10000mAh AUD$16.26 also has it just a tiny cheaper, free shipping also. I've got two from them before.

    • +2

      And GearBest has 8% cashback

    • the site doesn't seem to let me buy more than 1 unit though…

      • Just open multiple accounts

  • Second order from banggood.com within a month, yet to receive my first ever order (LED light) … :)

    • How long ago did you order? This doesn't bode well for the $300+ item I just ordered. I usually order with Paypal so if it doesn't arrive I can just get them to resolve it.

      • 28 July. Rereading my parent post, I have no fear my first order won't arrive, I was alluding to the fact I'm getting addicted to bargains on ozbargain :)

I didn't choose tracking for my first order so planning on forgetting about it and be surprised when I have something in mailbox.

For power bank, I chose tracking ($2ish) to get a feel for how well the tracking functions in transit from these guys.

        • I ordered on on 22/7 but it wasn't speed until 27/7 and still a no show. Tracking says it was "exported" on the 31st. Whatever that means.

        • And I get home tonight to find a parcel in my letterbox. So exactly 14 days in my case.

  • +1

Sold. Second Xiaomi purchase from BangGood. Bluetooth speaker was a great buy.

  • bought one. Already got one and it's a good jigger

  • i actually bought this one yesterday without knowing it was a bargain

  • Price went back up to $37 for some reason when i was switching around colours, weird.

    • only the silver ones are $16.63 AUD Delivered

  • damn missed out.

      And GearBest has 8% cashback

      • Thankyou sir will look into it. Unfortunately working so couldn't read all the comments.

  • FYI this new Xiaomi 10000mAh powerbank consist of 3x Panasonic NCR18650BF as opposed to the older Xiaomi 10400mAh powerbank that consist of 4x LG or Samsung 18650 cells.

This means it is slightly less capacity(-4%), but much lighter and a more compact form factor. Cells from Panasonic/Sanyo powers premium German power tools, Tesla electric car, laptops and etc. They are top battery manufacturer.

Of course being Xiaomi they can change battery supplier whenever they feel like so there is no guarantee, get in quick for the first batch.

    • If the first batch is only going to be panasonic then you've missed out. These were released several months ago.

    • Lots of teardowns I've seen had Sanyo batteries in them (brown tops)

      • +1

        Sanyo = Panasonic

  • Ozbargained. :-(

  • How many charges can this do on a typical android phone?

    • 3-4 full charges, if your battery is around 2000mah, 2-3 full charges if your battery is 3000mah.

  • bought my first Xiaomi power bank. hopefully good

  • Bought. :D

  • It was inconvenient to ask if i could recharge my phone whenever going to restaurants during trips. So decided to buy one. Thanks for posting!

  • +1

Just a quick post to say I own one of these, and its great - the charger works, the looks nice enough, and the build quality is solid. Used for K3 Note and Teclast X89 Tablet. Use online guides to verify genuine item, I have ALWAYS had great experiences with BangGood.

  • Thanks I was waiting to get one of these :)

  • Might bite in this deal.
So is this the cheapest this model/spec has been?

I have the 16000 & slim 5000 model somewhere (from Mush), but cant find them, doh, yet to use.

Would be nice if this price was for the gold version.

    Thanks OP

    • +1

I think it's cheapest ever- for two reasons. a) this is the new model, (thinner, 10,000 mAh vs older 10,400 mAh) and b) the current state of the Aussie dollar. check back on older deals to see older prices.

      • Thanks for that.

So have they stopped making the 10400?

Good price on the LED vs local ($2.77 vs $4.99+).

  • +1

hahaha, you can still get the 10,400mAh in a lot of places (online that is). but I would get the 10,000 over it, as it's cheaper and smaller. and newer.

  • +1

    Thanks OP

    Got 1 + fan + 2x led light.

    Now the long wait.

    • +2

imho, more exciting when you forget, and then find a surprise in your letterbox ;)

      • And I forget easy, lol.

        cheers

    I just bought 2units.
    2hrs and 40ish minutes left.
    $16.54 AUD (SILVER ONLY)

ETA: Before 17th Sept to 3000

  • Has anyone got their Powerbanks yet? (via standard shipping)

    • Not yet (QLD)

    • Actually, got mine yesterday :)

  • +1

    Got mine today, charging now
edit: in sydney if it helps

  • Ordered one from Gearbest - paid nearly 18$ AU, waiting to see how long delivery takes!

  • Got mine today as well.

  • +2

    Got both of mine today.
    Cute little unit.

    Confirmed genuine using: http://www.mi.com/verify/

Instructions in plenty of languages, except English…

You can still buy them for AUD 17.33 delivered.

  • +1

Got mine yesterday. So it took 3 weeks.

  • beware these frauds. i paid for 10, they sent me 5.

    • +2

I'm not affiliated with Banggood in anyway - but I'm sure if you speak with them, they'll be able to resolve the issue. Of course there's the inconvenience of waiting for shipping, but I guess that's why you're paying $16-17 vs $26 from an Australian seller.
Why you need 10 powerbanks… now that's a more intriguing matter.

  • my first time ordering from gearbest. my unit arrived today, authentication code worked too. thanks op and contributors who linked to gearbest :)

the mail bag has chinese writing on it but for some reason, it also has a Swedish return address. what..?

    • +1

lol, don't even ask hey. Just be happy that it came and that it works!

  • Forgot to post that I got mine on Monday. Much quicker than last time when I ordered the 10400mAh which took 5 weeks.
