With cashrewards combined you will score 24% which is probably the best camera and lense deal that I have seen on eBay to date. Oh and I almost forgot, they are also running a 20% of Bridal related items promotion which includes a wide variety of categories listed below.

Bridal
Jewelry and Watches
Fashion (Mens, Womens, Kids)

Gazebos
Outdoor living

It seems weird that they are only doing it for international sales. What does ebay gain by only applying it to imported goods?

    • A point of differentiation? A talking point maybe?
Maybe they can offer 20% off overseas sellers (instead of a blanket 15%) as tax might be lower? The overseas sellers would be paying their final value fees overseas too.

    • I agree. Great deal but why exclude locals?

      • the point of differentiation… they just had a 15% site-wide sale that included locals. Maybe.

Canon 24-70mm f2.8L II USM - $1957.89 after applying discount code.

I've been watching prices on this lens, and at this price, it's very tempting. It ships from HK so it's probably grey import, so any warranty inquiries will go through them before going through Canon.

  • Picked up the Canon 50mm f1.8 STM ($120.84, was $159 from DWI) and a Tamron SP 70-300mm USD ($332, was $438 from e-infinity) after Cashrewards. Saved $119.40 so pretty happy with that.

Would have bought the 50mm from TGG because their price wasn't much more, but couldn't find any pickup locations nearby.

  • Any way to have one search link and search all these stores?

If you order over $1000, you have to pay 10% fees, correct?

    • If it's reported properly by the vendor, then yes sir.

Thanks OP would have totally missed this if it hadn't have been posted.

Ended up getting the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 II. List price of $669 less 20% and 4% cashrewards.

Allowed me to purchase the m2 instead of m1. Very happy!

    • Why not M3?

      • Still get reasonable resale used for the rx100 cameras. Figured I would get the m2 see how often I use it. Will then ponder upgrading. Do you have the m3?

Hang on there buddy, I know that it's a tough moment for you now

Just forget the $20 long gone in 3 weeks. Not worth to think about it as it just affect your mental health which at the end make you pay more for that depressing pills and psychiatrist which cost horridly per hours. SOmetimes it's best to let thing go as it's not worth with our mental struggle ,regret & frustration

"I bought another lg4 during this deal to make me feel better "
Anyway, What will you do with the 2nd spare? I reckon the G4 value will depreciate crazier in the next 4 months.

Anyone have experience with the MeFoto travel tripod? Thinking of picking one up since it looks like tripods are included with the sale.

  • I cant see filters in any of these links. Though their non ebay stores have them.

Looking to buy a Hoya vari ND. Anyone knows if filters are included?

    • Yes filters are included I got a Hoya CPL filter from QD

Just saved $607. Cannot say I am complaining. Thanks OP for highlighting the deal.

Dig up my reply post if you want the story, but definitely not G.A.S (at least I don't think - is that just convincing myself?). Either way, $600 is $600 and I've been eyeing these off for a while but haven't bit the bullet because they were a bit out of my budget.

Prices are round about but just bought Fuji X100T and Sony RX100IV. Used my parents account and address to double up on the deal and make a 2nd purchase.

    Fuji X100T - $1308 RRP - 20% = $1046 - 4% CR = ~$994
    Sony RX100 IV - $1218 RRP - 20% = $974 - 4% CR = ~$925

Total Saving of $607! 2 Thumbs up eBay! Cheers.

    • +1

Nice. I thought you can only make one transaction (max $1500 and $300 saving)?

      • +3

Quoting myself: "Used my parents account and address to double up on the deal and make a 2nd purchase."

2 accounts = 2 addresses = 2 separate payments. #winning. Do people use hashtags on OzBargain or is it blasphemous? Haha

        • +1

Ah right - good work ;)

        • +2

          @Dan83:

I imagine the same would apply if you had x# of accounts too. Ie: parent(s), brother, sister, in-laws, colleagues, cat, dog, etc. etc. Minor work around, but definitely worth it if you don't care for eBay's feedback ratings (which I don't).

        • @db87:

I only care about feedback as a seller not buyer

    • +1

You can actually use the code for up to 3 transactions .

      • And go above $1500 in total? Or 3 transactions provided they are less than $1500 in total (to get the maximum discount)?

        • Looks like it only works the once…

  • +2

Beware of the revised term and condition by e-Bay on this code ending TONIGHT 16 October instead of 20 October.
    http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/wedding20

This offer commences at 14.00 (AEDT) on 15 October 2015 and ends at 23.59 (AEDT) on 16 October 2015 (“Offer Period”).

    • I wonder if they can actually reneg on the discounts. Considering now 100s of people have bought phones which they may deem not included in this sale.

      • A little worried as well looking at the clause below. My phone order has not been processed yet…

eBay reserves the right to disallow or reverse a discount in circumstances where it believes a sale or purchase of any item as part of this sale has not been made in good faith. This includes any collusive conduct by buyers or sellers or any other conduct which eBay considers unfair or untoward.

        • You'd have to wonder if they really would do it though. Maybe they realised they stuffed up and are ending the sale early. The uproar would be crazy if they started reversing the discounts. Chaos.

        • @Zaychri:

I think a little while ago they ended the 20% off the .co.uk website promo early; the error in that i think was the 20% off voucher worked on all domains. changing the validity of an offer may be done and they do reserve thir rights.

but it is different here if the discounts are validly applied.
whether discount are reversed are another issue.

    • I wonder why they make it expire sooner, either the promotion has gone havoc because of seller listing non-wedding items. eg. iPad and phones.

Otherwise eBay just want to cut it short and decide too much money given out

  • Any decent flash lights here less than $200?

  • Looking for a tripod, can anyone recommend one?

  • Let's just hope they stick to their discounts.

    • They will, most goods I have ordered have shipped already. There is now way they could cancel this anymore.

      • Don't think they would cancel the order, just reverse the discount they gave you.

  • Just expired I think?! I just got in most of what I wanted to buy with seconds to spare! When I went back for a second transaction it said it has expired.

Okay fellow ozbargainers…I'm now going into hibernation until September 2016.

I spent way too much during the 15% and now during the 20% off i spent even more and got everything I wanted plus more…

Thanks for your great comments, spin off deals and upvotes. It was a blast!

Cheers and see you next year.

    Drb

    • Thanks and good luck!

(with trying to stay away for a year)

    • You'll be back. They always come back.

Well, that didn't take long at all. ;)

  • coupon expired?!?!?!?!?! i was waiting to buy today!!

    • EBay revised expiry from 20 Oct to 16 Oct…I left a comment on this thread yesterday afternoon…

  • i am late :( intend to purchased tripods and some filters during the weekend, since the deal WAS expired on 20th… i guess ebay was surprised with the every single $300 cash back on each transaction by ozbargain, and they ended up the deal early to prevent the over budget for the discounts given to the customers… but, i can be wrong

  • </RANT>

I wish I could change the terms and conditions of my life when ever it suited me…
Not getting paid enough… rewrite my employment contract.
Car breaks down after 4 years… change the terms of the car warranty to 5 years.

This sort of stuff reminds me of electricity companies having the right to change the electricity rates when ever it suits them (even in the middle of a contracted period) but if I want to turn off the service 3 months early…. fees, charges, penalties, etc.

Ebay: If you said it was a 5 day deal, stick with the 5 day deal (or maybe spend a little longer planning these sorts of things out before putting conditions in writing.

  • Received my zoom lens from HK today. That is very quick.
