  • i brought mine fore $180 a while ago , i thought they would be around $150 ( with out voucher ) by now :(

    • Australian $$$!

  • +10

The price of the router is independent of the eBay voucher. You're still paying 203$ to get the router and hence cannot put the title price as 103$ even though you've put (203$-100$).

Hang on, you qualify for a $100 voucher after purchasing this, the router still costs $203. Title is misleading.

    • this is neither the first or last time titles have been misleading. can we vote neg on this deal because we can't buy it for $103?

nvm. op was quick to edit the title.

  • Plus, these things routinely go on sale for the $160~ mark.

    Awesome router regardless!

  • Good router I'd recommend it

  • Does this do vdsl for FTTN? Or just a router? Sorry for being an ignoramous.

    • +2

      router only

      • Thanks mate

  • How good is this router? Any other recommendations within the same price range? I'm getting all these black spots around the house and it's frustrating me! I don't game so just need range and something reliable…

    • Asus rt-ac87u is a little bit cheaper after cashback. TP-Link have a few models that is cheaper though not quite the same reputation for range

      • I've got a 66u. Amazing router, solid 5ghz network and port forwarding is easy as. Is this any better?

      • whoops.. Meant ac68u. ac87u is considerably more expensive

  • Just confirming - this is a router only - need to pair it with an adsl modem?

    • +1

      Correct.

  • The R7000 or the one in this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/216014

    • The AC-68U is better than the R7000 imo as far as range, stability (especially on the 5GHz band) and firmware.

      • Thanks for the advice. I'll go with that one then.

  • Can anyone recommend a modem/router for $250? I still have my $50 ebay voucher from last month and I assume if I spend over $250 when using my $50 voucher, I'll get a new $100 voucher?

  • I didn't realise until I recently bought a HDD from ElectricBay that they are a subsidiary of ShoppingExpress. Same Ebay support phone number.

  • This or TP Link D7?

  • Any good modems in the $50 price range to go with this that is suitable for torrenting?
