  • Whats the normal price for this?

    • +16

Normal price is more than free

      • +7

Maybe its normally twice as expensive

        • +2

          $0 x 2 = $0

        • +38

@MasterNoob: Thanks for showing us how to work that joke out.

        • +5

          @pood: After all, he is a MasterNoob…

        • @pood: If that's too hard try:
          $0 + $0 = 2 x $0 = $0

        • @MasterNoob:

          MasterNoob on 04/11/2015 - 17:07
          $0 x 2 = $0

hey, later on just for fun, lets go to a childrens birthday party and suck the wind out of balloons?

        • @norkle:
Can you show us what happened here?
3 people put in $10 each for a meal.
The waiter tallies the bill to $25 and heads back with 5 dollar coins change.
He decides to pocket $2 and gives them back a $1 each.
So now each has paid out $9.
          3 x $9 = $27.
Plus the $2 in the waiters pocket only makes $29!

        • +1

          @s66:
The $25 bill split 3 ways is 8.33 each.
The waiter keeps the 67 cents from each person when he only gives them change adding up to $9ea. The three diners 67c adds up to the $2 in his pocket.
Obviously I am rounding the fractional cents.

  • +1

Yeah right! What is this ploy?

  • I think it's $1200.

    • +9

      Zimbabwean dollars?

      • +1

    • +1

      Yet no +Vote

No wonder so many don't bother posting deals.

      • sorry was too excited submitting for free stuff forgot to +

  • +3

Thanks OP. I can never find the damn spatula when I'm in the middle of cooking. With this box on the wall it will give me the motivation I need to just keep looking.

  • +3

Where are we supposed to be looking?

    • +2

      At the TV.

    • +2

      At your phone checking ozbargain

  • +2

Que the greedy turds who sign up for 20 of them.

      Raises my hand.

    • +4

May God give them 20 children!

      • May God give them 20 children!

If that happens, then those wooden spoons won't just be used for the kitchen then…

    • Que

      Is that you, Manuel?

      • Don't worry about him, he's from Barcelona.

  • +2

Just used their examples to fill out the form First name: Jason

    Email: jsmith@gmail.com
lol only gave them a address

    • Only works for you as they must be using email for a unique ID! :P Good work though!

    • My workmate is named Jason Smith. His email is very similar to that! I wish it was that.

  • +5

OK, I give up. What exactly is a "Keep Looking When Cooking" utensil? The wooden spoon with the face on it in the picture?

  • Thanks for posting OP, will put this to good use (if it gets delivered).

  • +2

Poor little TAS is missing in the states :-/

    • +1

      What is up with that?

I mean its basic stuff, we all learn them as children in primary school, so why would such big corporations so blatantly ignore TAS as a state of Australia?

Im sick of it! Time to cut this gas pipe and sail away!

Yeah that's what the Coles baby club said. I use a Gmail alias for each company and the coles email started to get spam. Not saying they will do it but just mentioning one that has done it.

Other people had a similar experience here.

    The description writes:

"Even the smallest distraction can quickly lead to a kitchen fire. Use this helpful utensil daily as your reminder to keep looking when cooking."

Keep a look out for fires apparently.

    • +1

This wood will make great fuel for the fire.

  • do they deliver to Aus post parcel lockers ? :P

  • Thanks :)

  • Ordered and let's see…thanks.

    • +1

      GIO? It's a trust thing

  • +10

Score, I needed something to smack the kids with

    • +1

Me too. My last one broke on one of my kids.

      • +2

Yeah, ditch the wooden spoon. A length of rubber hose works much better and won't break.

        • +2

That's what I like about ozB - lots of seasoned campaigners with helpful tips.

  • +1

I did get their fire blanket from their promotion back in March, slow process but it arrived eventually. Surprisingly enough, they haven't sent me any spam ever since.

  • +2

Feel like I'd be waterboarding someone, constantly dunking face in the pot.

  • +3

Tried to submit my details for a spoon…. but came to the 'select your state'.. and there is no Tasmania. Hmm.. I don't want my spoon now. spits dummy

    • wooden spooner..

      • Dear Sir I challenge you to see who can hit the hardest in the head whilst using your mouth to hold the spoon.

  • +3

I looked under the Voting Guidelines and it says that "Major issues with retailer" is a reasonable decision to vote Neg.

Is it fair to say that I have "Major issues with retailer" due to not being considered an Australian state on this deal as they would be more than happy to consider TAS as an Australian state for my Car in$urance purposes?

Please note this is not directed at the OP in anyway this is to do with the GIO deal itself.

  • -sigh-

  • Thank you. For once it would seem that W.A. does exist ( sorry to hear that Tasmania no longer does ). So my free wooden spoon, with the big smiley face, is apparently winging its way west right now. However hubby says I don't need another one as the one I've been stirring with for years still works. Whatever does he mean by that comment !!?!

    • +2

      Good to hear! :)

I ended up putting VIC as my state and "(TASMANIA)" after my suburb, we shall wait and see what happens?

Your Hubby might may be thinking along the lines of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" but at a cost of $FREE why not?

      • Sorry Wackety-Wack. My comment re stirring comes from being English( originally) where to stir with a wooden spoon means to stir up trouble with people in life i.e. stirring the shit. However, luckily, Hubby only says it as a joke ! Am looking forward to receiving my new wooden spoon & the smiley face will always be on show.

        • Oh goosegog you shit stirer you! :)

  • +1

Suburb: Hobart in TASMANIA- TAS TAS TAS TAS
    and the postcode 7000

will hopefully mean the postie gets the hint…………

    • yes, under "State" you have the options of ACT and NT but not Tas.
      Brilliant.
It's the Myer Barbie doll all over again.

  • +2

How the heck are you supposed to fight a house fire with one of these?

    • +1

Look at his poor little eyes! Hes thinking the exact same thing as you and will be counting on you to save his cute little splintery behind.

  • +1

    I think it's a wooden spoon.

    • That's what they want you to think.

  • +1

What sort of warranty does the spoon come with?

  • How did I miss this, just ordered my spoon
