    The same as most of the comments here… Nothing really attractive. I was looking for the PDF for the "SKU"s with really good prices.
    Kindle Fire HD 7 is 99 on PDF, instore says 199. I would ask for the low price, but I don't really need one and apart from being a huge fan of my Kindle Paperwhite I was never interested in their Fire OS based products… So I can't tell if they would do the discounted price…

    The IronMan watches were all there with the discounted prices (29.90 each), and my wife grabbed one…

    There was not a single TV from the PDF, and I really didn't feel like asking item by item if they had them in stock…

    Spent an hour in the store, and didn't do anything out of the ordinary regular old-stock based low prices…

    Got a friend to get a display Pana PVR at Chadstone. Last Pana. Still had display PVR's left if anyone is interested. LG HR936T & LG RH735T both $29.80.But ask them for the box out the back. Took to ask multiple staff before we got ours.

    Anyone seen any sound bars left in Melb. Still trying to track one down. Hola if you see any.

        My friend asked many staff before one actually did the right thing and looked and found it. So be persistent is the lesson and try different staff if you get a no.

    Managed to bag the LG MB2540 Soundbar for $60 this morning. Box had everything inside … was a demo model.
    I got there at 9am but they were closed and told me to come back at 10am. Got there at 10am, and doors were opened with a bunch of customers who had been there a while and grabbed 90% of the stuff -> I was annoyed :P

    But the sales guy that told me to come back felt bad and helped me find the LG … he was nice :)

    He showed me a Yamaha soundbar that was nabbed for $20 by another sales guy, we were both disappointed we couldn't get to it in time.

    I tried to get a phone, my mom needs one … but only network locked phones left.

    Still, I'm happy to get an LG 2.1 Soundbar @ $60.

    Visited three stores, Cannington, Carousel & Riverton, WA. Cannington had the best deals and i managed to snag a Panasonic DMR-XW390 PVR for $34.90 and a Panasonic DMR-PWT530 PVR for $36.90. Neither had box/remote etc. Just found the remotes on ebay for sub $15.

    To me, a lot of the mark down prices are still too expensive.
    Since when did little boxes with tiny speakers and a battery inside command prices of $125 to $300+???
    Just because it has Bluetooth, doesn't mean it too far advanced from a transistor radio you could not sell for $15

    Some of prices of these new "we must have items" are just a joke.
    They were never going to sell them once newer stock came in anyway.
    Some rare Great deals, quite a few good deals, but really the majority isn't anything special.

      Batteries which can survive 12hours+ while delivering power to bluetooth (and bigger speakers) than a transistor radio, are a little pricy.

      But if you look at Xiaomi or generics, ~$24 is still a far cry from $74+ (and you shouldn't be paying more than this for the brand name Sonys).

      You're paying for the brand name and the rip off merchants, not for the internals.

    To all the haters, scan those prices at the counter or you won't get a bargain.

    Just spent $300 at Runaway Bay, Qld for about $1200 worth of electronic goodies.

    Powerbanks, Blu Ray PVRs, Wifi Hard Drives.

    The only marked item was $29 Olympus VH-520 Camera which retails for $150-$200.

    Plenty to be had if you have the patience to ask staff to scan and check.

        For anyone in Dapto, I did see an Xperia Z in the locked cabinet at Dick Smith in the mall marked down to $318 (it wasn't a clearance label though, so am certain it'd scan for less). Left it there as I didn't need it. This was around 11am though.

      Also if anyone is interested in tvs, DJ DSE parra Westfield has several avail. Various sizes 32"- $200ish. 60" - 800ish.
      Sorry for the vague details but I wasn't interested in any tvs.
      I believe they have several blue ray players as well- $30-40.
      So many items reduced significantly, 22 pages worth. Staff member was kind enough to give me full access.
      Let me know if any of you are interested in any item and I jell try to recall price and stock. Too many to write down and I didn't take any pics.

      What's the use, nothing in there really other than $1 accessories and staff weren't that helpful in terms of helping out with the clearances.

      The little asian kid was pretty good though, put in an effort to help but he seemed pretty powerless in knowing the bargains.

      Don't think they had much stock anyway. Manager said the pricing list is an internal store document, fair enough but it's really got nothing other than stuff to help DSE achieve their aim of clearing stock!

      Headed to Macarthur Sq from Narrallen, Corbin is an absolute champ. Clearances were doing his head in, but he was always there and helped everyone out in the store.

    It's amazing the difference experience at different stores. I know it's all down to people, and of course they are ridiculously busy, and dealing with some very difficult customers. But I went in super nice (which is just my normal demeanour) to Morayfield and strathpine dick smith. Rudest customer service, short and abrupt, almost eye rolling at the Morayfield store. Strathpine, some of the best service I have ever had. Well done strathpine dick smith. I commend you for being awesome under intense pressure and having to deal with some disgusting customers.

      Agreed. Strathpine Dick Smith were fantastic. Every staff member working asked if I needed help in the 20 minutes I was there. They were happy to direct me to stores which had stock of certain stuff I was after. Chermside staff were very good too.

      If you only need it for a few months for light duty, yes. Otherwise, skip it. It'll quickly start mechanically squeaking and eventually fail, probably before a year is up, or slightly after.

      I think some liquidators have moved in. Bought a camera yesterday. Told coworkers. They came back with tales of the entire glass display case at the end cap being gone, and the glass cases under the camera display area being empty. In less than one hour after my purchase. I think people are making bulk deals with managers.

          OK, there was thousands of dollars of stuff, and lots of it, in that case, though. Not all of it great deals, so I would have thought that the only way it would sell at those prices would have been a bulk buy of all of it, mixing better deals with worse deals.

    Just FYI guys with 2 hours before store shutdown - i went to Sydney Westfield DS and told the store manager that i knew he was hiding stock and that he should sell me stock available or i would tell HQ. He relented and got myself a Sony camera for $99.

    I visited Highpoint, Fountain Gate, Chadstone, Knox & Glen Waverley (All VIC), they all said 99% of the good stuff has been sold out. Checked several different models for MacBooks, iPads, most stores are showing 1 in stock (which generally means display model). Asked them if there is any other good stuff worth getting on sale, response was that most of the good stuff has already been sold out. Customer service in most stores was pretty decent. Conclusion: No MacBooks & iPads left in major DS stores in VIC, majority of TV stock has been sold out.
