      Well it does vibrate.

      • Customisable vibration pattern too

          what is this gutter humour?
          this site is becoming reddit.com

  • +33

    Kewl.

Waiting for the flood of comment about:

    • How 16GB is not enough
    • How iPhone is overpriced POS (that stands for Piece of sheet)
    • If this is eligible for TRS
    • How do we achieve world peace
    • +12

i will jump on the 16gb is not enough one!

      IT'S NOT ENOUGH

      • +2

I simply use it to make calls. Listen to music. Email. And browse the net. That's it.

        • wowsers. so you don't use any apps, take photos/vids or have any music on it?

        • +10

Then why buy a phone with this caliber?

        • +1

          @justmiike: Because Iphone

        • +1

          @justmiike:

"Browse the net" turns out to be quite resource intensive at times. And it's only going to become more so.

I'd still prefer the flexibility of extra space or SD expansion though.

        • if you don't even take photos or videos, why do you need an iPhone? A $100 Nokia can do all of that.

        • @justmiike:

bigger screen, i have a 5s,.. and faster, its started slowing down with ios5, iv had android and it inferior.

        • +2

          @T1OOO:

That statement is not fact, just your opinion.

          I don't believe either is superior/inferior.

It's a personal preference. I enjoy the Android OS, ROM flashing and customizations over simplicity, Apple OS and limited customizations.

That doesn't mean the iPhone is inferior, it just means there's different choices and preferences. I for one hate the occasional slow downs and little issues Android has, but nothing is perfect. I have used the iPad and iPhone before, Apple OS is not bad, but it does suffer from slow downs and crashes as well. So pick your poison in the end.

        • I have an iPad air 2, great device. I also have an LG G4, another great device. Neither OS is superior, they are just different. Nothing iOS does any better for me. I love the fact that on my G4 I can have my wallpaper changing every hour and I can download new themes or change fonts whenever I want. Never looking at the same boring old screen like on my iPad. I don't care for custom roms. All I care about is smooth stable performance and I have no complaints with Android. 3rd party swype keyboards are better on Android too, the iOS offerings still lag and apple forces you back to their default one when typing in usernames and passwords.

      Then rambling comments about:

      • How 16gb is enough for most people
      • How iPhones are great value
      • How this grey stock only has 1 year warranty and no TRS
      • How there is new model coming soon which will be bigger and better
      • 16g is enough for me on a phone have tablet for more interactive stuff

        • Fair enough. I use my phone for everything and don't have a tablet so 16gb just won't cut it for me.

    • +3

Honestly, the only aspect is 16GB, because in this day and age, one game can set you back a few gigs.

      32gb should be absolute standard.

      • Not on iPhone it doesn't. Apple limit games to 2gb.

Games like gta:SA are ~2.5 gb on android vs 1.6gb on iOS. Also iOS 9 on a 16gb device gives you a bit more storage than it does on android.

        • -1

So what you're saying is that android allows you to use higher quality assets and textures?

          PRAISE DUARTE!!

          androidmasterrace

        • @meatgasm:

Android is bigger because they pack more code for broader range of device compatibility. iPhone's play GTA:SA on the highest settings, while many Android devices have to lower their quality down to medium to get smooth framerates.

    • if people are paying, why give more for the $?
when people stop paying, then they will up the specs.

HEY GUSY I'M SUPERIOR TO IPHONE USERS BECAUSE I USE ANDROID

      I'M SO SMART

      VALIDATE MEEEE

    • Hahahaha. it is a POS but for this price I would actually buy one!

    • +1

I don't understand why you would ever need a 16GB 6S personally. You'd be ok with it if you didn't use it for Games, taking photos (especially with the Live Photos feature which uses many more times the storage space) etc.

So let's recap the new 6S features:
      1. Increased video res (more storage)
      2. Increased camera pixels (more storage)
      3. Live photos (more storage)
      4. Faster Processor (yay)
      5. Apple Demo'ed Force Touch using Warhammer which looked awesome (games storage)

so to recap - if you're after #4 and part of #5 (native apps), then grab this because it's a great deal. I don't understand why those who want to "use the phone, use a little bit of web browsing and take the random shot once in a while" would want the S upgrade. If anything, the older iPhone had better battery life owing to a larger battery.

  • +1

Would be better off buying using ds gift cards plus trs

    • +1

buying from DSE using gift cards and TRS would make it $881.91 would be cheaper getting this deal less 2.5% cashback from cash rewards which would make it $857.03 and if you are able to get TRS would work out even cheaper.

  • +3

To put things into perspective, RRP is $1079 !!

    • +2

I beg to differ. RRP $1079 is for Australian stock not grey stock. Is it Australian stock? NO.

Our stock are imported from all over the world and the original charger is USA type, we will enclose 1 pc AU adapter (connector) with package

So the retail price should be USD $649 or equivalent ~AUD$890

Should I cave or wait for iPhone 7?

    • +2

wait for 11, when 7 out wait for 8, and 9 out wait for 10, and keep waiting until 11 out

      • -1

        Why every one scare of 7 ? it ate 9… 7 8 9… no wonder M$ dump 8 & 9 altogether.

        • That was a horrible (and unnecessary) explanation of your joke

        • -1

@ATangk: thanks for letting me know, just realize post at the wrong place.

      • -1

What's gonna happen after 11? Apple going bankrupt? WHY can't I keep waiting for ever!!!! After all it is iphone.. an apple fanboy should even come out of grave to buy when the latest model is released!

        • Apple gonna go bankrupt when they take 90% of the profits in smartphones?

    • Either way they are both delicious choices… Oops got caught up thinking about Cronuts :)

If you need a new phone on iOS now, then the 6s is your best choice however if you can wait until September next year, the 7 will have a new design.

All even number iPhone generations have had new designs and the S iterations have gotten the spec bumps and new features like Touch ID.

      • Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna be patient and wait for the 7. Heard of rumors of no home button for the new iPhone.

        • That's my thinking too. I usually get the even generations and hopefully base storage will be 32gb.

        • Bear in mind that for the last few years (most years) iPhone is updated at the end of September. So mostly a year wait.

      • You mean 4 and 6. What about 3 that was a new design.

      • umm…. the 3 had a different design than the 4, and 5 increased screen height and got rid of glass… etc. not sure where you got the even number thing from.

        Fanboi Report Card: F-

        • Thanks for clarifying :)

        • The even generations are new designs, odd are spec bumps starting from the 2nd gen.

          3G (2nd gen - new design), 3GS (3rd gen - spec bump), 4 (4th gen - new design), 4S (5th gen - spec bump), 5 (6th gen - new design), 5S (7th gen - spec bump), 6 (8th gen - new design), 6S (9th gen - spec bump).

    • Wait because iPhone 7 will be the best iPhone when it is launched.

    • Wait until you can't wait anymore and then buy the best one. Repeat.

  • taiwan seller

  • Deal is now active.

  • Why is there no rose colour?

    • because pink got married…

      • -3

I have a feeling this is for a 6 not 6s… otherwise why would they not have rose available hmmmmmmm

        • Mate it is definitely 6s not 6. Nobody is going to pay $879 for iPhone 6 16GB. Why pay $879 (if iphone 6) when Kogan sell iPhone 6 16 GB for $779.

  • been waiting for an iphone deal..thanks op. has anyone purchased anything from the seller before? i dont think i saw an expected delivery date.

Edit: Expected delivery dec 16-dec 24

  • lol this is cheap is it?

iPhone 6S plus 128 GB owner. My advice don't buy this size model

16GB should be banned, Apple being Greedy.

Wouldn't Apple store cover any warranty issues?

      • -1

Wouldn't Apple store cover any warranty issues?

Sure. As these phones would appear to have been first supplied/sold in the USA, you could take them to any Apple Store in the United States of America.

        • Our stock are imported from all over the world and the original charger is USA type, we will enclose 1 pc AU adapter (connector) with package

        • @malouphix:

Our stock are imported from all over the world and the original charger is USA type, we will enclose 1 pc AU adapter (connector) with package

So, the original charger being a "USA type" would lead one to believe that the phones were USA market models.

        • @A3Australia: USA, Taiwan, Canada, Mexico, Japan and about 50 other countries use the same plug

        • @malouphix:

USA, Taiwan, Canada, Mexico, Japan and about 50 other countries use the same plug

Sure, but you are obviously just trolling.

Firstly, it does not matter if the phones were first sold in USA, Taiwan, Canada, Mexico, or Japan- as I was commenting on the lack of local warranty.

Secondly, there would be no price benefit for this seller were they to purchase iPhones from any market other than the USA or Hong Kong (the USA market includes Canada - just as the Australian market covers NZ as far as Apple is concerned).

        • @A3Australia: Just please don't speak of if you don't have evidence. I bought an iphone 5s from Kogan last year when they had the ebay 20% sale on and the camera stopped working 5 month after use, took it to Apple Store Highpoint and they fixed it for free, no question asked. The device was an imported version, came with Verizon sim in it but hey, Apple Store honoured the warranty.

Plenty people on here got the same experience buying imported Apple products. The only issue you'd have is you only get 1 year warranty from Apple, not 2 year under Australian Consumer Law like the Australian version.

  • Should I go for Apple or Android?

    • At this price, 1 apple or 2 androids.

    • Samsung edge s6 64gb is around 7xx at Dick Smith for Australian stock, local warranty, 4 x the storage capacity, plus trs applicable

      Edit: sauce sauce

      • -2

RRP is still around $1099 here at the DS website
Poor form to compare 'sale prices'

        • This is also a sale price for iPhone 6s

        • +1

          @CodeXD:
Grey Imports may as well not be classified as 'sales' because its $649 USD for the phone outright direct from the US apple store itself. This is $886 AUD, barely a scratch over the listed price. And when selling bulk like this, surely you'd start to see…

What makes this $879 better than the recent ZTE Qlux https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/221123 deal that came with $100 headphones for $63 delivered?
    Serious question.

    • +5

You're comparing apples and oranges, seriously.

ZTE Qlux is a budget phone, the Apple is a premium phone. Apple do charge a premium for their products, we all know this.

I could buy a KIA for $40,000 top of the range Cerato with absolutely everything or a Mercedes <insert model here> for $160,000+

      • -3

You haven't answered the question apart from say its more expensive.
More expensive does not necessarily make it better, so once again, what makes this $879 BETTER than a ZTE Qlux?

As for premium product, that is nothing more than perception.
Way back when, BMW changed peoples perception of the car by doing nothing more than clever marketing and increasing prices.
The build was essentially the same but because they cost a lot, people "perceived" them to be better.
        Silly them hey.

I sense you dont actually have an answer, hence the cry of troll.

      • +2

You can grab a budget Merc for like $40-50k ahha

  • A 16gb phone… For nearly $900. $900, for a 16gb phone…

  • +1

how much space does the OS take of the 16gb?

    • +1

You get approx 11.8Gb of space to use on latest 9.1 iOS.
(Only have iPhone 6, the 6s may or may not have extra software)

  • -3

Complaining that iPhones still come in 16GB in 2015 is like complaining that Mars Bars/Snickets/etc. still come in "Fun Size" in 2015…

    • Nothing alike…?

      • -1

You see "Fun Sized" candybar and think "gee, that's probably not big enough to satisfy my sweet tooth" so you buy the bigger size.

Not sure why people don't just shut their mouths and buy a larger version if they feel so inclined?

Fun Sized exist because it suits children or should be enough to get the sweet taste but not go overboard.

Have owned several minimum sized iPhones, guess what, they all do the same job as each other except storage. If your needs differ and you need more storage, go get it. The most full my 16GB iPhone got left me with 4GB to spare still. Please, tell me more about how it's not enough in 2015 for the entire world. :)

        • +3

          Oh right.

Yeah agreed. Many people, who don't know jack about technology, or know how to manage it well, are fine with 16gb.

I am talking about the price. 16gb, nearly $900… Only mindless sheep would pay that price.

        • @inose: One of us, one of us, one of us

        • @malouphix:

… Are you a Nexus 4 guy too?

        • @inose: Sometimes.

  • I see it has unique headphone socket..

  • +1

I'd rather get it locally, if you buy imported apples just to save the extra cost over ease of warranty, then by all means it will be at your own risks. I had a few occasion that my Apple stuff needs to be fixed, just rock up to Apple Store and they just simply swap it no hassles.

  • Any import taxes ? Anyone know? Thx op

  • -1

    No expandable memory in 2015?
    Propriety headphone sockets?
    Ha Ha Ha Ha, idjuts.

    • Propriety headphone sockets?

This is a common misconception. The 3.5mm headphone socket in the iPhone 6S was not designed by Apple as you may have otherwise heard. The headphone socket has been an industry standard for a long time now. Further reading.

  • Even this got 43 upvotes,it is not that popular as only 72 sold by now.

Low sales? Anyone that wanted an iPhone 6s would have bought one by now. For everyone else not interested we are laughing with our money still in our bank
