    :\

    • I got the same message, looks like we are late :(

  • not showing $25 discount anymore after refreshing payment page.
    Removed ?

  • The deal has expired I believe. :(

  • -1

    I managed to get 2 only :)

  • Thanks OP, wondering how long would it takes to process the order ?

  • looks like the code invalid.

  • Missed by 10 seconds

  • +3

Damn, got caught whilst processing payment. Cart showed $100, but has charged me $125.

    Well played Target.

    • Same thing happened to me!!! :(

I would've been better off if I shopped at coles normally and used my ING debit card to get 2% off paywave!!!!

      Shady Target, very shady…

    • Just call them to get the $25 refunded or get the order cancelled.

  • damn they got on that one fast

  • still waiting, I think it will be refunded now.

  • +5

For those who squeezed in an order near the end check your bank accounts to make sure $100 was charged and not $125.

    • Yeah… same here. It even said $100 on the paypal page. Wtf :\

      • Same…….

      • +2

I think best everyone raise a paypal dispute over it.

Hopefully paypal will take notice of the flurry of similar paypal disputes and just refund everyone

    • Just double checked, charge $100

    • If you got charged the full amount try calling their support line (1300 753 567) to see if they can cancel the order or give a partial refund before the gift cards get issued. If worse comes to worst you'll be doing your daily shopping at coles for a little while ;)

Crying….The Promotional Voucher or Code you entered was incorrect, no longer valid or did not meet the required conditions. Please try again.

    • yup no more i guess

  • fingers crossed getting e-gift cards in e-mail. Someone reported got one after 15 min.

    • It's been half an hour for me and still no gift cards :( I hope it doesn't end up getting cancelled.

      • Same here, still waiting.

  • Order Status stuck on "Order created", was worth a try…

    • Got charged $100 on CC, so still hoping - what does "created" actually mean on target.com.au? Anybody got an idea?

  • Damn…. missed it!

  • +1

oh ffs, they removed the discount before I paid and I didn't pick it up. So now I paid $125 for $125 giftcards booooo :(

    • +2

Exact same thing happened to me…
      - had it in my cart showing $100,
      - paid with paypal for $100,
      - check paypal and was charged $125
      - raised a paypal dispute case against it

      • Do we have a chance of winning though?

        • I am giving it a shot

        • +1

It's worth a try since it clearly said $100 when I paid via paypal (wish I screenshotted this)

Surely it can't be right that we thought we paid $100 and then check our accounts later and be charged $125.

        • @SevenSmurfs:

          PM'd you.

        • I might give it a whirl.

      • same thing happened to me.

        • Same to me :(, Checkout was $100 but after paypal payment it was $125

        • @rythex:

Got a call back from Target and they are honouring it and refunding me $25!

  • Just got my email…
    Your Order is awaiting review

Thanks for shopping with us. Details can be viewed below:

Not sure what awaiting review means 😐

    • Most probably means it is gonna get cancelled… Whenever something is posted in OzB things are gonna go the other way as the community is just too strong a force.

      • Email came today with gift cards! Took ages but finally came through 😀

  • i love Ozbargain!!!

    • These guys should/have price errors alerts built in. Amazon does.

    • +2

Except that the owner doesn't 'lose' those $25's, instead they earn many many many $100's, temporarily. Until the gift cards are used.

    • +4

Ethical in regards to Coles and Woolworths ? try asking them first about their practices

    • This is ozbargain. What do you think?

    • I don't see a problem. Gift cards have been discounted before.
If they offer $25 off for spending $125, what does it matter whether it's an immediate purchase or via a gift card?

I usually shop at woolies. Would wesfarmers be willing to wear a 20% discount with an intention of converting me to coles? That's their call.

Also, I think gift cards have a lower value than cash due to risk. They'd count on some never being used (give one to someone who isn't interested in shopping there, or doesn't get or like how they work), card gets lost, don't bother with change left on card etc.

If I managed to pay for subsequent cards with the previously purchased card, hence just accumulate free $25 cards, that might be different.
To answer your question, I was going to make the owner aware of the glitch by purchasing as many as I can until the alarm is raised. :)
(Unfortunately I got distracted and only made first purchase.)

I unofficially declare this deal - OZBARGAINED!!!

  • Target online Giftcard page
    http://www.target.com.au/c/gift-cards/W889141

The coupon might still work on other Giftcards if you haven't use the coupon.

    • +28

Any dick smith? i'm looking at getting some

    • The rest are crap. I tried with different combination of Coles gift card (3x $25, 1x $50) - still didn't work :(

  • I had two accounts so placed two orders. I've only received an order confirmation for one of the two and vouchers for neither. I hope it comes through! Could do with a discount after all the bills I've just been hit with!

  • Completed purchase at 10:52 (GMT+10)
    Checked payment was $100.
Just received email at 11:07 from target confirming the order.

    Thanks OP!

    • +2

      Order confirmation means nothing

    • +1

You got the e mail confirming the order … but have you been emailed the gift cards yet?

  • -7
    • +1

      I found this hilarious

  • I got my confirmation email :)

  • Darn. Missed out.

  • Well I bought one, but it said after paying via paypal that it has to be reviewed by a team memeber, I havent been charged or no email yet. So im guessing itll be cancelled.

No Paypal has been charged either guess mine didnt go thru

    • the code is working?

      • not anymore

  • +1

Order confirmed; now waiting for egiftcards to arrive.

  • The Promotional Voucher or Code you entered was incorrect, no longer valid or did not meet the required conditions. Please try again

  • +6

I hope Target honour the deal like last time. Either way, I will continue to look for more hacks to help out the Ozb community :)

    • any idea when Target may start sending out e-gift cards ?

      • Should be under an hour since you purchased them. As the site was getting smashed, it could take longer. Fingers crossed.

    • +1

If they don't honour it, the least they could do is give us a $25 gift voucher for our time.

    • Looks like they will, as they've agreed to refund me with $25 due to code not working rather than cancelling the whole order.

      • Dang maybe I should go and put a heap of orders in, then ask for $25 refund on each. Do I need to call, or can it be done online?

I'm joking - I'm not keen to go through that.

  • +3

Quick! Go and use your gift cards to buy e.g. a Coles myer card at the self serve so they cnat cancel it on you!

    • do you have your gift card?

      • Didn't bother

  • -1

    Not working any more mate

    • +7

Hence, the deal is marked 'expired'.

  • -1

Why does it not work any more? Wasn't the offer genuine? I thought the deal was on till 31/01/2016.

    • +1

we will let you know very soon :)

    • +1

Was probably meant to exclude gift cards, as they can't make money that way with such a large discount. The $25 off offer is genuine, just no longer for gift card purchases

      • Ok that makes sense.

  • Waiting, waiting

  • My paypal has been charged but I didn't even get a confirmation email :(

    • have they shut down their systems while they investigate, or have we overloaded them?
I got confirmation promptly, but I don't think anyone has the gift card yet??

  • +10

Whether it gets honoured or not, thanks for letting us know OP. I love how the ozbargain community can bring retailers down

"oh shit, we're having a sudden influx of gift card orders"
"but Christmas is already over… "
"oh look, it's on ozbargain - sigh, of course"
"well wtf you doing? Disable the code!!"

    • +4

Yeah they must be real annoyed when they see it on the front page on the biggest bargain hunting site in Australia :)

      • +3

they should not be complaining for free advertising.
I personally have not bought anything in Target for years

        • +2

And on a technicality you still won't be - you'll be getting physical goods from Coles with the cards. :-p

        • But it won't have had any effect on people like you or me. Luckily we're not the only ones that have seen this "free ad" of theirs. I'm not planning to shop there any time soon either, even with this free ad.

        • @Linkwick:
I did have a quick browse for what else to buy… which could have cost me getting a 2nd :(

  • +1

I still have not received my giftcards yet!!!

    • Finally I got my cards. YEAH!!!

  • not working anymore =(

    • +1

Expired after only 40 minutes of being posted up… Maybe Ozbargain should send users emails if they elect of really popular deals. Like if a deal reaches a certain amount of votes within 30 minutes, then an email will be sent out reminding everyone :)

  • +7

My Advice to anyone who was charged $125 instead of $100: call target online store at 1800 814 788.

They have just refunded me with the $25, although it will take 5 days to process the refund.

Funny thing is that the lady asked me at least twice on where I saw this code. :P

    Good luck!

    • Ahh I already raised a paypal dispute

      • -4

call anyway, you might get refunded twice. 1 from Target and 1 from paypal :)
