Xbox 360 4GB + One Game (Peggle 2) $99.99 at ALDI

890

Great Mothers day gift and Peggle is awesome.

Photo was taken at Waverley Gardens Aldi (VIC), but have confirmed Dandenong and Mordialloc have them for $99, though not sure if this price is the same Australia wide.

Changed price to add extra 99cents

Almost worth it for controller and a spare lol.

Microsoft have ended production of the 360. Everyone should be running out warehouse stock now.

Xbox 360 for mothers day? she would be an awesome lady who wants this as their gift

Once you get a mum to have a go with Peggle they'll be hooked

      • Wonder if I can get this for the wife and get some me time

    • To be fair, u can use them as a apple-tv like device too.

      • +5

There are waaay better devices that cost less than the power bill of running an Xbox360 for a few months. Ancient technology now.

Awesome in one way. No dinner in another….

  • +2

I guess this could make a pretty decent media player with gaming capabilities …

    • +4

You would be better off with a Rpi and openelec for a media center, I personally never liked the 360 as a media center.

      • +1

Not to mention the power consumption compared to a modern TV box - Amlogic MXQ for example…

  • -2

ALDI policy is to have the same price nationally, so it should be that price everywhere.

That game looks really bad though… like an early Wii game or something.

Peggle is a mobile port. Still, its a fun game for 15 mins.

Btw is this an Xbox E? You still need a HDD and an ebay caddy to use it properly. 4Gb aint shit.

      • +6

Actually, peggle isnt a mobile port, was originally a PC game.
Peggle 2 (which is what this actually comes with) was an xbox one exclusive before it came out on any other devices.

      • Like the other guy said, it's Peggle 2 which is a console game. But even OG Peggle was a PC game.

This is for catalogue specials and food etc. When it is a reduced item, it's store discretion.

      • Yep, some reductions get sent through by head office, but stores can reduce things independently as well.

    • Someone who has actually played Peggle would never say that. Shit is addictive.

  • My mom would love one of these…lol

  • Just tried my local and it scanned at 169.

They said some shops will run these out if they have too much stock but not them.

with peggle 1 free with gold, you got yourself a dedicated peggling machine right here

    • "Hey mum look I got you a peggling machine for mother's day" "You little ripper son…oh its just an Xbox. Still its better than the 18" rooster ornament you got me last time I suppose.."

  • +1

    The price is $100(~$99.99) not $99 :D

    • $1 could make or break this deal for some…

    • Use credit card and the deal willbe $99.99 :p

Xbox for mothers day = Facial Cream & Bath Salts for fathers day… it's your funeral. (Free advice for husbands)

    • +5

You're right, better get an Xbox One instead.

  • Forgive if this is wrong but you couldnt play GTAV on it as one disc is required to install on the hard drive and its only 4 gig.

    • +1

That is correct, you need a 16gb usb stick to use if you were going to get this for that purpose.

    • Yeah, but you can install shit to external drives, so grab a 32GB and it's still an okay deal.

      • +2

Xbox 360 supports up to 2TB external HDDs

Oh they finally changed that huh? I remember them limiting it for ages. Anyway, that'd be expensive, and 32 is really all you need to install a few games.

        • Really? It was still 16gb last time I checked unless it was their own official one that was stupid amount to buy.

  • Is the controller wired or wireless?

Also not sure, but I think this console doesn't use hdmi? I think its RCA? that would kill it for me

    • +5

      Uh no it uses Hdmi

      • +1

My bad, the arcade consoles around 2007-2008 had no hdmi i thought it might have been one of those.

        • They'd be all but dead by now anyway :)

        • @scuderiarmani: Well now they are all dead :( lucky i still have my original modded xbox classic and 360.

  • Fantastic deal!

  • Aldi will be selling Wii U consoles soon. :/

FTR: I am Wii U console owner :D

  • Cool. Wonder if this is nation wide.

  • My xbox 360 in sitting in the cabinet gathering dust

I installed plex but it keeps saying it cant finf the server :(

anyone else got it working with their 360?

    • I had a similar issue with the Xbox one and it was due to the DLNA service crashing. Have a look at the plex forums as there are a few server options to turn off that fix the issue.

A new update to the server app may also provide relief.

No more problems for my One now.

  • In Melbourne area, all gone.

    • Not true.
As of today, quite a few left @ Mordialloc (at least 3) and Mentone (at least 2). However, they are $129. I asked them to scan (in both stores) as well and they said still $129.

I know this because I bought one yesterday (for $129) but returned it today for refund as these are manufacturing date week 37, 2015 - means they can't be modded.

      • Thanks for the info mate. Even with $129 it's still good price. Will check them.

  • Is there something wrong with me? I still have only the old X box, and about 30 games, but only ever play the one, and only about once a month. Please don't hurt me for being old.
