    The reply text message says you have to use the promo code within 14 days. Keep this in mind if you're waiting for a current (free) trial to end before using this one.

    • The code is most likely for new users only, so it might not work on existing accounts.

      • You could sign up again with a different email/credit card combo.

        • I just change my old email address [email protected] to [email protected] and re-use my gmail account. Same credit card+email combo then works. Have to have an email provider that supports sub addressing though (eg: Google, Microsoft, etc.).

      So you need to register a debit/credit card to obtain this 3 months trial. They'll automatically start charging your credit card for a subscription after the 3 months which you may forget to disable the automatic billing.

      • Of course they do, which is why you set a reminder for 2.5 months time to pause the account, so it cancels after the 3 months ends.
        As Neo says, the text clearly says this, nothing is hidden.

          @corksta: Works for Stan though. I did it when Optus gave out a free 3 month trial.

        You can cancel the subscription on your Stan account as soon as you set it up, it'll still work until the next payment is due. So if you do it right after setting up your account, you won't have this issue.

          Have you tested this? I had a look and found "If you cancel while you are still in the trial period, the subscription will end immediately and you will not get a change to utilise another free trial." on their website. Not having a go at you, just don't want to go through the hoops and have it cancel straight away :(

          Yes, can verify, as I have a current subscription of Stan which I am using but have cancelled. It's active until the next billing date.

          Just tried to watch Stan online via my laptop here at work on my new account with the 3 free months from this thread after cancelling the new sub, it loaded up fine.

    • Did you make the date for your card just the last 2 numbers, i.e. not 2018 just 18?

    It may just be me but the poster signed up yesterday, posted a deal about Stan and the username is an anagram of A STAN, STAN A, STAAN but likely SANTA backwards.

    Thanks, my last Stan freebie finished 3 weeks ago. Now I have 3 months Stan and 6 months Presto free. Just have to find out how to get my Netfix free (I am actually paying for it).

    I must say that I find the content on Stan much better than Netflix (AU) both have their pluses however. I just seem to watch way more Stan than Netflix now.

    • Netflix AU is slowly improving it has StarTrek series now too, some (not all) Stargate, a growing and pretty cool catalogue of Netflix originals (Marco Polo season 2 was mad, plenty of others), shows like Outlander, Vikings, Suits etc. I will finally have to start paying the first time this week since my Optus codes now ran out but i think i might actually keep it.

      NEtflix technologically is the best, the streaming tech is the best i have ever seen truly mind blowing. The AU library however is still very small compared to what US offers, but it is slowly growing.
