eBay 15% off Sitewide Offer When You Spend $75 or More (Max $300 Discount)

11460
CODE15

Just received a call this morning, while I was on the way to work, from a trusted source that was right in the past about (3 out 5 times).

They are claiming that their friend's hairdresser sister was walking her dog with her best friend last night and her best friend told them that there will be 15% Site wide. Possibly starting today. I have no further details so don't ask.

It seems somewhat hard to believe due to the number of coupons that were floated this month but I thought I'd share it anyway. I possibly risk the largest number of negs if it's not coming to fruition but I'll take the punt to give my friends at ozbargain a heads up.

I am getting my cart content lined up….

Remember to use cashrewards…

nice, p4 treating you well so far? just saw the gopro karma announcement. daaayum

        • @fonsii:
Yes I cruise it around the neighbourhood.
Don't forget to buy the wind surf antennas shields and unlock full 32 channels for rediculous range 👌😆.
The karma is abit slower and looks good for its first model. Surely won't be as perfect as P4

        • @sr8rippinpro:

ahaha yes, bought a bunch of other stuff on ebay for the phantom 4 already, hurry up carbon fiber propellers lol

        • @fonsii:
I've herd mixed reports from the carbon fibre props
          Good and bad points.
Did you order windsurf antennas ?

        • @sr8rippinpro:

yep. got the windsurf antennas on the way! and dammit i should've just bought more plastic props. and now i want to mavic. dammiiiit

  • If I can't find a listing does that mean the store has pulled it or that it's sold? I was debating about whether to get a Fuji xt10 or Sony a6000 and the two listings I was looking at have completely disappeared :(

New 3DS XL can be had for $203.15 @ Target, I think the cheapest it's been is about $183 also at Target, but that was over a year ago…

Seems like a pretty good deal as most other places have it for $249

Free Delivery & at least you don't have to go from store to store looking for stock.

  • I am quite annoyed by graysonline

Ordered something worth 600 on their 20% off sale. Paid a .few days later. A sorry we cannot fulfil your order . Literally a few days ago.
New code comes up and all of a sudden its availablr!!

    • Have you tried calling them?

      • And say what?
I got a we are terribly sorry we cannot fulfil your order. We have processed your order.

I ll probably just buy again with 15% off ;)

  • I always wonder why do we have to apply the code if it is site wide. May be catch someone off guard.
The system should automatically apply the code/discount if the first transaction is over $75.

    • Not everyone wants a 15% discount, some people earning lot's of $$$ like Gina or Rupert or even Malcom or gerry harvet will be happy to pay full price.

Such as monster cables from gerry's shops

      • Do you think Gina or Rupert would even look at Ebay for their purchases :)
May be their Secretary does :)

        • They might? Who knows.

    • You are exactly right. When I worked at an eCommerce company, they use to offer discount codes on the ORDER page and only 75% of people would actually use the coupon!

    • I assume they want to drive traffic to the site, but are happy for people to forget to claim the discount.

It's similar to why they offer mail in redemptions instead of upfront discounts.

  • arghh … draining me dry!!

no decent deal on the apple series 2 watch …

    • -1

Isnt the 15% off already a good deal?

or better yet, but myer gift card at 15$ off then buy the apple watch from myer store?

      • actually the myer is a very good idea, although voucher fraud rates and protection is the least advantageous of all purchase. now got to check if there's an official store that sells legit voucher and if the ebay promo covers gift cards (which I think is rare)

the search on ebay australia yield the watch at over $800 while the same one on apple store AU is over $500+. not used to paying extra for first to market honours, but thats just my personal opinion

      • hmmm cant find myer gift card at 15% off

  • Reckon JB Hifi will match the discounted price? Good Guys don't have click and collect stock where I am…

  • Looking for iPad air2 16/32 gb , wifi only. Will dick Smith be the cheapest option after 15% off? Will office works price beat that?

    • +1

No, this promotion is eBay promotion Office works dont have to match it.

    • +1

Same, looked at the new 32gb Air 2. Was RRP on the Ausluck eBay store an hour ago, but now $50 more. I'll pass for now.

  • +1

Sucks to be the person that just bought my old router for $80 yesterday. Could have saved themselves $12.

    • To some $12 is not a lot of money, they are probably happy to pay $80, so should you. Just hope they dont do what many ozbargainers would do return item and buy it again.

      • I'd still receive $80 either way so no skin off my nose.

        • Just a bit of hassle, some people dont bother or cant be bothered if it happens or sigh when things like this happen.

  • So this works when buying used items that you're bidding on?

E.g if I'm bidding on a guitar and win the auction, will this code work?

    • +1

  • can anyone recommend a smart Car Battery Charger? 100 budget give or take ?
I am not good with cars but was told I needed one since I dont drive much.

    • Do you have a garage? Maybe buy a ctek battery charger?

      • I don't have a garage, but I can left it charging on my carport?
        Is this 5AMP sufficient?

        • +1

          Looks fine to me.

If you are with NRMA or RACV or RACQ etc etc.. Get a battery from them.

But that ctek looks good. http://www.ctek.com/au/en/chargers

        • +1

That should do, I have one to keep my battery topped up from time to time.
Can't really go wrong with CTEK.

        • +1

Good charger, but better prices around. Paid $100 for the MXS5.0, with a bunch extras in the kit.

        • @albanyson: Hi albanyson, 100 dollar MSX5.0 with extra is great. Is that price is only during promotion? any links :)

        • @florachan:
Kit came with extra cables (eyelets and clips/clamps), rubber surround, volt meter, and a couple other bits, think was called tool box kit or such.
The kit was only a couple dollars more than a base mxs5.0 charger. Usually the rubber surround is about 20 on its own.

        • @albanyson:

Where did you get the kit from for that price? I'm after a Ctek also

        • @florachan:

Did you manage to find a better price? I could only find the 117.50 one on ebay

        • @G Wok:

No, but I found another one which is 2016 model,@125 aud. about 7.50 more…

I don't know what is the difference between 2015 model and 2016 model

          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CTEK-MXS5-0-2016-MODEL-12-VOLT-5-…

    • If you don't drive much you don't need a charger, just start your car and leave it running for a bit. Does the same job.

  • I think I may found a rig that will let me play Fallout 4 for less than $400… am I right here? (the integrated graphics thing baffles me)…

    But THIS unit:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AMD-A4-Dual-Core-7300-4-0GHz-8GB-…

Appears to be almost the same as the unit being used to run the below (barring the HDD, which isn't really an issue).

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Za1xS347-pg

Essentially looking for a rig that will run Fallout 4 and the llike for <$500, good people of OZB, can you advise if this one might do it?

    Thanks.

    • The integrated graphics is just a weak GPU thats part of the CPU.
For Fallout 4 that won't be good enough, you will need to be a separate graphics card.

      • That's what I thought, which is why the video surprised me. A lot of the cheaper systems have them integrated which makes it difficult for bench marking/comparisons.

    • +1

That video looks like it is running fallout 4 at a fairly low res (probs a little higher than 720p) and sub 30fps. There's a big difference between being able to run the game, and it actually being playable. If you do get that you pretty much have to get a dedicated video card. I'm not sure what your standards are when it comes to gaming visual quality, but with just the iGPU, it will be markedly worse than a console experience.

If you can get one of the systems that total to 300-350, you can purchase a card such as the AMD 360 or NVidia 950 (like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gainward-Nvidia-Geforce-2GB-GTX95…), which might push you very close to or just over the 500 dollar mark after discounts. Alternatively, you can buy a used card locally which would be much better value, preferably off someone you know.

      • Cheers, thanks for the detailed info.

  • +1

can this be stacked with the groupon ebay offer?

    • +2

No it can't. The groupon 'voucher' comes as a code and can only use 1 code.

  • Cheers. Ordered the Apple Watch Magnetic Charger for the watch I have coming this week. Came out to around $92 AUD before cash rewards…sells for $129AUD at Apples store so I'm quite happy.

Ordered from the US - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/162171698045. Looks like Dick Smith and Kogan are selling at very inflated prices. Only bummer is the shipping cost for this are seperate to the item and the discount didn't apply to shipping, but still came out way cheaper.

    • Just wanted to check with you… This product well have a USA power cord not an AUS/CHINA one right?

      • The dock doesn't come with a wall adapter as far as I'm aware, just a USB to Lightening cable which can be plugged into any USB adapter or a computer or other USB power source.

        • +1

          Thanks - also purchased ;)

  • Has anyone bought from Warehouse 1? Looking at this 2 bay Synology NAS… http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SYNOLOGY-DS216play-2-bay-NAS-Melb… best price out there with the 16.5% off. Whirlpool has some negative reviews while their eBay site is quite good. Tempted to try it… even if I just pay via Paypal for that added price protection.

    • yep - bought my ssd from them - awesome to deal with - call them if you have an issue …

    • I bought HP server from them, and a Hitachi 3TB drive. No problems with the transaction itself.

They previously had a quirky delivery tracking system, so you need to email them to find out where your order is.

    • Horrible stories online. I wont deal unless it is super cheap from them.

Can anyone please recommend some cheapish good (I know oxymoron) bluetooth speakers?

these ebay "deals" are freaking endless lol

Sadly my the funds in my debit account are not :(

  • Picked up a Halloween costume - thanks OP!

  • any deals on 1TB storage?

    • Try searching Ebay, coz that is where the deals are.

Do you understand how to use the search engine, then SORT BY PRICE?

Is that why people ask here? They don't realise that it takes a couple of seconds to filter the results to show the best deal local vs overseas, etc?

  • Now 15-20% almost every month.

  • Anyone else have a problem with not all items going through the payment process ok? I had about a dozen items and 5 didn't go through PayPal payment ok but the other 7 did. I then got 7 recurring emails from PayPal followed by an eBay message saying "Sorry, we were not able to process your PayPal payment for one or more items"…" please return to your cart to check out and submit payment again"… I can't get the discount now that voucher has been redeemed :(

    • Contact PayPal and get it sorted.

      • Thanks but it all looks like it's ebay's side. 7/12 made it through to PayPal fine and the other 5 disappeared. Anyone had any luck with eBay support before?

        • maybe because the other 5 is not in aud currency.

        • +1

@Inflow: If the items are all in the same currency and you still have the same problem, it is more likely another ebay stuff up. Believe me, I have been through with Ebay in the past and it is a pain to go through the refund process with them. I have to also involve DOCEP to help getting back my $50 refund.

    • Aren't you only allowed 10 items per transaction?

    • Anyone who has errors with the code post check out, have you received your 15% refund from ebay yet?

  • +2

Anyone got any recommendations for entry level remote controlled cars in this sale? My knowledge is well and truly limited to my "JetHopper" days and the envy at the kids who had the "Hornet" but would love to get something for my 5 year old son (i'd even let him use it sometimes). Have wasted a few dollars on cheap cars from Target and Big W and would like something that is the next level up but not something that would be so unusable for a kid his age

    • +1

I was going to suggest the WLtoys A949/A959/A969/A979 - but they are far too quick for a 5 year old to manage.

      • +1

So what your saying is perfect for Dad to show him how it works ;)

        They actually look pretty cool

        • Those little WlToys models are outrageously fast for what they are (not brushless, 7.2V).

However these mid range ones require a lot of upkeep. Bits wear out and break pretty quickly, most structural parts are plastic.

I chewed up a motor pinion a few days ago blatting around the office carpark - some chunk of sand or something must have got in there and man did it make a mess of the brass gear teeth!

So I just ordered $50 worth of spare parts from Gearbest, as they have them on clearance. My 12 year old crashed his car into mine (a different model) and broke about 5 parts in the front section… will take 3-4 weeks for new parts ex-China, unless I want to get raped on paying for local bits and pieces.

It's not a cheap hobby. But it's awesome at the same time LOL

        • @llama:

A few sites I looked at said the same thing about having essential spares on hand.

Thanks for all of the advice very tempted at the price. Would be cool if there was something in between the big retailer stuff and the hobby stuff. Probably sensible to leave this hobby for a few years when he can truly enjoy it.

        • @mike-77:

Tamiya TT-02 is entry level and takes a lot of damage before something breaks.

I still have a TT-01 that's been bashed, flipped and jumped. Probably only replaced a control arm or two. Upside/Downside: everything can be upgraded to be a fast and capable track car.

Depending on availability, a ready to run model should be around $300.
If this is within your budget, I can have a look and link some for you.

        • @MJD682:

          Tamiya TT-02 is entry level

          then

a ready to run model should be around $300

          LOL - WOT?

        • @llama:
LOL. Sorry, I should have clarified that these are quality 1:10 scale on road cars and assumed that possibly the same amount of money had been spent on cheap kmart style 1:18 scale buggy junkers.

Would be cheaper depending on seller and of course with discount code.

        • @MJD682:

The WLtoys ones I was referring to are about $80 including 7.2V Lipo, charger and semi-reasonable proportional controller.
