Yay, right on time! Thank you OP! :)

Glad I could help, noticed there are some good TV deals on GG :)

      • +1

Thanks, will investigate TV and fridge sections :)

    • What do you guys think of this washer? is Hoover made good
washing machine? come to $ 639 after discount, 3 year warranty for a 8.5 kg front loader which is pretty good price
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Hoover-DXA-385AH-1-AUS-8-5kg-…

Sorry Ametric for hijacking your post:)

      • the specs look really good and machine itself looks slick, I personally bought electrolux (still has not picked it up from TGG warehouse) during one of recent eBay sales, but it's not available anymore
        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121998338679?_trksid=p2057872.m27…

        • I need it to replaced my 6.5kg Samsung. Just not too sure about the brand as i am not familiar with Hoover and not many retailer stock this Brand. There are not many review on this model either:/

        • @bargainfinder:
I believe it's a well-known American company (http://bit.ly/2eSaX25), but before I came to Australia (I'm quite new here, only 3.5 years), I was thinking they are producing only vacuum-cleaners :)

        • @Ametric: yeah. They seem to made more Vacuum cleaner than Washing Machine

  • +1

eBay are getting too good for me :)

    • +1

Haha I just found this one on the sales and events page

    • good guys having 4 days event store credit up to $200, I guess this 20% not entirely from ebay, the seller must contribute as well, imho.

Git $1200 JBHIFI cards expiring this month. I hope this will help me in matching price there.. finger cross they will match price…

    • they wouldn't match the price with 20% off eBay code, even TGG cannot match it in store ;(

      • @Ametric and @hippyhippy

True, just called them and they confirmed same what a shame…

JB is highly overpriced.. I am not able to buy $1200 gift cards from good long time to get a decent 65 inch+ TV or a mobile phone.. Looks like to avoid loss of $1200 gift cards I may need to buy something I dont need :(

        • +5

simple, sell your JB gift cards for $1000, get the cash and spend on TGG eBay with 20% discount, still save you $40 (1200-20% = 960 worth to spend as 1200) and without worrying much about expiry of your cards ;)

        • @webtherapist: Thanks.. Considering only few days left to expire may not sell quick.. Will give a try today on eBay..

        • @niagraBzO: in the past I have been able to buy jb gift cards online with gift cards to extend expiry date and change code when bought from eBay. Did get a call from jb regarding security etc though once when I converted a large amount.

        • +1

Also, JB staff in store have been happy for me to buy JB gift cards with JB gift cards to extend their life. Of course, it depends on who you get on the day, and how nicely you ask :) I highly doubt it's their policy to allow this.

        • pm me if u want to do a deal on the cards… your pm dont work.

        • @17833: That was a great help. I am able to do buy new gift cards using these ones. Two $100 didnt work so contacting JB team to look into issue…. Thanks again mate,

        • @hippyhippy: Sorry mate, bought new gift cards using these ones based on suggestion of 'youknow'

    • I doubt jb will be matching the discounted price.

    • +4

With JB, they will always give you a discount as long as you ask for it. This is for almost everything they have for sale and not just big items. Just ask for the price you see on ebay, not mentioning it of course, and they'll look it up in their portable scanner and see if they can do that price. They usually do. Just try to be friendly and don't impose.

      • +1

Tried earlier mate but they were not able to even come closer to the prices I seen in OzBargain.. they are very overpriced generally..

        • +2

Sometimes depends on who you talk with. What I do if they don't want my price, I usually come back the next day and try a different sales person, there are success stories but not 100%. Yeah I agree with you, they are overpriced most of the time. That's why I rarely buy things from them. I only buy when they are able to match a price, other than that, I go somewhere else. But Blacktown branch is usually good, they are reasonable and good to deal with.

        • @Izefyre: Thanks mate.. will give a try

        • @niagraBzO:

Speaking of success stories, I am one. :P

OLED tv on sale at the Good Guys last weekend (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/275051). I had a JB Hi-Fi giftcard so I went to price match. Not only did JB Hi-Fi price match, they gave extended warranty and some cables thrown in to the deal. Ended up taking $700 off the price on the tv alone (the cables probably only cost them $20 tops, so I'm not counting them).

      • just like a pixel? yea right. there are no discounts 'as long as you ask for it'.

        • I saw this 1 customer buying a chromecast, he forgot to ask the salesman a discount so he ask the cashier instead, gave him $5 off. :)

    • They dont match ebay pricing only from the stores webpage.

  • -1

These guys are a total sham, ordered a laptop last week in their sale and then was refunded due to having no stock, and ordered in the first hour of a 4 day sale..what a joke!

  • +2

Dyson V6 Absolute for $439.20 with discount. :)

    • I'm looking at the slim for $318.40, is the Absolute worth the extra money?

  • +1

    Awesome find OP! :)

  • The good guys has been aggressive with sales recently, i guess might be something to do with JBHIFI taking over?

    • was going to pull the trigger on a UA65KU7500W 65" curved but its jumped $500 from the sale last month!

wish JB would offer these prices …. their included extended warranty is much better.

  • NEW Hisense 70M7000UWG 70"(177cm) UHD LED LCD Smart TV for $2,156! Unreal, might have to commit!

    • -1

Pay a bit more and get a Samsung IMO..

      • As someone who has had their Samsung TV panel repaired/replaced twice (and it's dying again now but out of warranty)… i say go for whatever model is researched to be good quality/reviewed/a good buy, and has good warranty/support. Brands only mean so much these days… it seems most brands have plenty of poor offerings in their line ups.

        • second that - im replacing a 3month old Samsung which has crapped itself (under warranty payout luckily)

        • How old is the TV and how expensive was it? Assuming "normal" operation, no abuse etc, statutory warranty on a modern TV would be 5 years+ (this is the standard warranty on most? Samsung UHD TVs in Europe).

        • @Possumbly: 5 years now. 1 circuit board replaced, and 2 panels replaced. Current panel is dying same as the last 2. Most TV's in Australia have 1 year warranty but ACL provides protection for longer. But once you get to 4+ years you're basically out of luck.

        • @Xizor: Yeh, 5 years is borderline and I feel for you given the ongoing problems. Have you written to Samsung? Worth a try if it was an expensive TV at the time of purchase. My new UHD Samsung has 1 year mw but that's irrelevant given our laws and the fact that the same TV in Europe come with 5 year Samsung warranty.

        • Didn't write to them but did call a few times but they wouldn't budge this time with it's age. Will get a new TV sometime next year… right now good chance it'll be a Hisense. Very impressed with the value for money in their current offerings.

    • hham interesting options - anyone found any reviews on this or have an idea on warranty?

      • +1

All the reviews I've seen so far mention that for the price there is nothing better than the 7000 series, even comparable to some of the higher end Samsungs. Obviously not quite as good as David Warners OLED, but half the price.

        • +1

Agreed. I have checked it out in store and would happily buy it. Almost did. 3 year warranty is a nice buffer.

        • +1

@Xizor: factory warranty?? that sounds too good to be true!

        • Yep but it is!

    • +11

Oh no not more deals. Its not like we come on this site to find bargains in Australia or anything…

    • +3

YAY, another pointless comment I can neg so I can use up my daily negs…

        • Are you sure you qualify for cashback? Often ebay is excluded - unless the invoice makes no mention of ebay?

"Participating Retail Store" means any Australian retailer authorised by Samsung to participate in this Promotion, and excludes any online bidding or auction websites (including www.ebay.com.au) or any unauthorised retailers. The Promoter recommends that prior to purchasing a Participating Product, the customer verify with the retailer that the retailer is authorised by Samsung to participate in this Promotion

        • @majormick: Usually with the Good Guys, they will provide another tax invoice. So far, I got the invoice from them with no reference to eBay. Just reference to paid by paypal.

        • @majormick: Good guys will give you their official tax invoice so there is no indication that it is purchased through eBay.
Having said that, I am still waiting for my Samsung fridge cash back from the last eBay deal

  • Just got a Electrolux evep614sc oven from jb yesterday, $1535. Good guys had it for $1570, now with the 20% today its down to $1256. Gotta admit I'm hurting just a little atm…

    • +1

go talk to JB, they might give you some store credit.

    • +1

If you purchased within a month or so, JB will usually happily refund the difference if you talk to the manager. I did this with a TV recently which was over $500 cheaper about a month after purchase.

      • Nothing to loose by asking rite.

    • Yeh i feel ya…

I make it a rule to never buy any high ticket priced appliance/electronics until a 20% ebay sale pops up.

Thoughts are with you. Chin up champ

    • Mate just call up and talk to the manager, I'm sure they'll give you the difference, if anything even store credit would be good.

Then go to kfc and celebrate!

  • +1

Thanks OP - did my research in TGG shop last week waiting for the next sale!

  • -2

Can anyone confirm that the $25 vouchers can be combined with the 20%off?

  • I am looking for a new washing machine to replace my recalled samsung washer. What does everyone think of this Haier? Is this a good brand? It is the cheapest 8.5 kg front loader I could find
    http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Haier-HWM85-B14266-8-5kg-Front-…

  • TRied three different tv's = all out of stock..
