    • +1

      Yep. Used one on Friday.

    • +1

      yes they do.

      • thanks. wasn't aware of that.

  • Woolies Gift Card Noobie Q = Do the gift cards work multiple times until there are no funds left, like a debit card?

Can you use both gift cards + credit card in a single online transaction?

    • yes

    • Yes to both your questions

      edit: Beaten

and actually I'm not sure if you can mix and match for Woolies online transactions - I'll let someone else confirm that

    • You can mix gift card and credit card for Dan Murphy's online. I assume Woolworths is the same.

    • you can even use multiple giftcards on one transaction (e.g. if you have $1.24 on one card, you can use that & then pay for the rest on another.).

About that only place that doesn't accept multiple wishcards is Cellarmasters, you can only use one card.

      • Thanks everyone! I have been suitably enlightened.. Now to hope the servers are up to the task.

  • +1 for Amazon!!!

  • haha, literally just bought some an hour ago. nice deal though!

    • Should always check OzB first before buying anything

      • I did, I just bought it before TA posted it :P

    • -3

Well, I bought some more than 12 hours ago which haven't arrived yet - can I cancel and order again at the better discount rate?

      • Now it's gone 21 hours. Still no eGift card. Money shown as deducted from my account since a few seconds after the purchase - same card as I paid with last time I bought one of these cards.

everydaygiftcards.com.au shows 'Status Payment pending' in my account. Rather boring.

        • Finally came through after exactly 33 hours.

  • Thank you OP

  • Ahhhh just got a few yesterday!

  • Out of curiosity, how much do people buy of these vouchers if you're saving $2.75 for every $50 spent?

    • I'm planning to buy 2 x $ 500 when the discount starts tonight so the extra 0.5% means a further $ 5 saving on my purchase.

    • usually buy $1000 or $1500, and that gets us by till next time its 5.5%

  • i was waiting and waiting for this to happen and then just when i buy $400 worth it does. BOO. i missed out on $2.

  • +8

Cmon TA 5.5% is your standard every other week, can we get 6% at least?

    • +5

110 votes for an additional 0.5% discount. shakes head
      Cashrewards usual discount is 5%

      • Yeah I love cash rewards as much as the next ozbargainer but it really isn't a great saving unless you are buying thousands of dollars worth of cards.

  • Will this work with the AMEX Click Frenzy Offer?

  • +1

    Done. 4 x $500 ecards. $110 saving. Thanks OP.

    • +1

Its normally 5% at Cashrewards. So it is massive $10 savings!!!

      • Thanks. But I haven't been using Cashrewards and this prompted me too so it's $110 above what I otherwise would have spent.

        • No Probs. A bit surprised as you have been using Cashrewards Your last comment and there have been endless deals with .5% savings on cashrewards here.

But glad you saved some money which is the main obj of this site.

  • I am having issue to pay with AMEX :-(

shoot, I tried two times receiving the same error payment is unsuccessful, but I was charged indeed for 3 times.

  • How long does it take for the vouchers to be sent out?

    • It takes at least a few hours. I can't remember the max time but last time it took a few hours for me to receive it.

      • How do you use eGift cards at Caltex Woolworths Fuel stations?

        • Just tell whoever is at the counter that you are paying by e-gift card.
Note that e-giftcards are only valid at those stations with the "save 8c" sign. Not valid at those that say "save 4c", as those are operated by Caltex instead of woolies.

        • Ok, I found this: https://everydaygiftcards.com.au/media/static/Docs/eGiftCard…

But this tends to refer to the suit the supermarkets, rather than the Fuel Stations.

As such, can I use the eGift card at the supermarket to purchase a physical giftcard to use at the Fuel Station?

          Thanks

        • I have yet to use it a fuel station but at the woolies store, you tell the checkout chick and then you will be prompted to enter the gift card number and pin into the EFTPOS terminal.

        • Just buy a normal wish giftcard at woolies with your egift card, so much easier and don't have to worry.

        • @KBZ:
I find egiftcards cards much easier especially with the Woolworths money app.
U know exactly how much is on each card and it's harder to lose

        • @mmd:

You can still do that with a regular wish gift card.
And To the person I replied to saves the convenience of finding a wool/caltex which accepts egift cards.

  • Another failure trying to pay with my Amex card.
Checked my Amex account and the charge has indeed been made against my card. Not happy.

    • I was charged 3 times while I got 2 payment failures

    • Anyone have success with Amex. I want to use Amex but don't want to go through this.

      • same, I want to order mine now also using Amex! But im seeing everyones problems.

        Can they accept Paypal???

        • only credit card, no Paypal option

      • Took the plunge and tried with the Amex and it worked.

  • I'm trying to find how purchasing something actually works with an eGift card but I'm not having any luck.

  • Bought at 07:20 and got the card at 09:08

  • Thanks! Picked up a few hundred dollars worth for groceries and fuel :)

  • +1

Okay. I bought $100. This is my first time doing this Wish card thing. I hope it's cool.

    • +1

It's definitely cool, I've been doing it for ages. ;)

      • It's fantastic and always buy it for fuel/groceries etc. 5% off and 4 cents off a litre of fuel is amazing! Haha, you know the ozbargain way ;)

    • It's very cool.

  • How long do I have to use these egift cards? Sorry first time I will be buying them

  • +3

Just a warning with Wish egift card:

Recently I've had issues with two of the gift cards I purchased.

First one was blocked due to some fraud which meant I couldn't use it when i needed to. I had to call up the customer service to find out what went wrong (was saying invalid number or something like that).

Second one I had bought and stored away only to find out by the timer I needed to use it, someone had already used it at a woolies store I've never even been to!

So I contacted customer service and they confirmed there were some instances of fraud happening.

Seems like an insider has been stealing gift card numbers and pins to use before people get a chance to use their cards.
    Highly inconvenient.

    Be warned!

I used to buy a lot of these cards, but after being burnt twice now, think I'll stop buying them.

    • What was the resolution after you got in touch with customer service?

      • +1

I went to police and also credit card company to issue charge back.
Woolies reissued gift card in the end.

    • +1

Same case. Living in SYD, but someone used one of my egift card($500)in northland sc VIC in once.

  • I bought one at 7:30pm using Vpay card and still waiting for egift card.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

    • I also purchased at around the same time (using a VISA card) - I have recived an "order confirmation" email from Woolworths but have still not recieved my egift cards.

      • Order confirmation was received straight away but no egift card yet.

        • Upate: My egift card was blocked for security reasons. They have now escalated it to verification team to investigate.

Looks like I might have to lodge complaint with NSW Fair Trading if they decided not to release the funds.

        • @Tipu: Any luck today?

        • @Turd: No still waiting. Vpay card is creating all sort of problems.

        • @Tipu: YEP!> Vpay is pretty bad.

        • Got mine today.

        • @jelko: did you use vpay?

        • @Tipu: No. just a regular VISA card.

        • @jelko: Order has been rejected by Woolies due to security reason. Money would be refunded within 5 business days. Not happy!

Does anyone know about Vpay refund process? Will it accept refund from Woolies?

        • @Tipu: The T&C's say..

          1. Any refunds on Card transactions are subject to the policy of the specific merchant. Refunds may be in the form of a credit to the Card, cash refund or in-store credit. If the Card expires or is revoked before you have spent any funds resulting from a refund (whether or not the original transaction being refunded was made using the Card) then you will have no access to
            those funds.

          https://www.vpay.com.au/Content/pdf/VPAY_TermsandConditions.…

vpay is super dodgy… When I first used it I had the problem of not getting the verification email and I used my iinet email, after many calls later (the person on fone was very nice girl, aussie call centre) and I used my gmail she later resent to to iinet and I got both.

vpay and epay is like that cabby payment system all full of dodggyness. If you have vpay I say use it or take money out of it asap.

Call this number for the aussie team - 1300 739 889

  • Is there any number to contact everyday gift cards team?

    • +2

      1300 10 1234 option 3

      • thanks

  • I still haven't received it either. I rang the gift cards team & advised my order number. They said their verifications team will get back to me

  • At last after calling Woolworths again I received my wish egift card.

  • Has anyone ever successfully received refund on Vpay?

I am stuck with Woolies and yet to receive refund for cancelled order.
