PS4 PRO 1TB - $492.00 Delivered @ IT Global Sale [eBay with 20% off Code C20ELF]

1251
C20ELF

Found that this store is the only one that sells the new PRO model. I know, I know, the price is jacked up from RRP but combining with the Code it comes to $479.20 $492.00 delivered which is the cheapest stand alone you'll get in Oz. Currently goes for $559 at JB and EB which is still cheaper than those that would have bought the Ultimate kids deal through Coles, I almost pulled the trigger but remembered that I have rego due :(

Update: They jacked the price up to $615, still a good price with discount code

Wow fantastic price. I had JBhifi gift cards so I went with them. But this is an amazing deal!

  • the seller provides tax invoice with ABN?

    • Ive asked multiple times on a previous item and they never got back to me. Wanted to know if they provided an invoice with GST included for TRS purposes - no response received.
Searching for IT GLOBAL SALE as a company doesnt bring back much so suspect the answer is NO ABN and although they have 70odd positive feedback Im not sure how theyre dealing with the 1 year Aus warranty claim

      • +2

I got their reply said gst invoice will be provided as request

        • +6

          at request? pretty dodge

        • I asked for the gst invoice later after I bid it.
What can I do if they don't send me the invoice?

  • Not bad for a week old console! I'd definitely jump on this, it's been a while since Target and the like have participated in the big eBay sales.

  • Great find!

  • Thanks purchased one. Great price

  • -6

no 4k bluray..no thanks..id rather wait for xbox oneS

    • +12

      Unpopular comment.

As a PS4 owner, the lack of 4K Blu-Ray deters me from upgrading my unit.

      • +10

I share your feeling. If the PS4 PRO had 4K UHD disc support I'd have bought this in an instant (I have 4K tv, 4K discs but no 4K player and I'm not paying $500+ for something that probably costs just a bit more than a standard bluray player to manufacture and most of the R&D investment has been covered) ..

Clearly someone forgot to tell Sony in Japan that not everybody has a gigabit fibre internet connection to their house and the majority of Australian's can't stream 4K, let alone the fact some of us don't mind physical media given you own it outright and don't have to pay a monthly fee (or have your viewing rights revoked) </rant>

        • +1

My exact thought, they brought in DVD on PS2, Bluray on PS3, so it makes sense to upgrade to 4k Bluray for next major upgrade like PS4 pro. For this reason alone, I have to settle for Xbox one S although I never own a xbox one before. Very short sighted from Sony !

        • Most 4k blurays are fake upscales

        • +1

Agreed, but you forget the fact that Sony is a big corporation and lets be honest, big businesses only care about sales and profit.
Sony didn't put 4K functionality into the PS4 because they know it would hurt sales on their other product, Sony 4K players, especially when 4K gets out of its infancy phase and really take off and Sony will have more 4K players for sale.

I don't buy their BS on figures showing people prefer streaming and not buying physical disk, its BS and they know it too. And the fact that Sony is outselling Microsoft 2 to 1, ahead by 20 million sales doesnt help us who want 4K in the PS4, if it were closer then something tells me the PS4 would have 4K functionality.
          The greed is strong….!!!

        • @Madaaara:

I read an article somewhere that says Sony manufacture their own devices and their 4K player is not ready yet, hence not included in this release. Xbox source players from other manufacturer, something which Sony does not want to do so.

      • +2

        same here.
I think it was a silly omission on Sony.

    • +2

Pretty glaring omission. 4K Blu Ray should be expected since the xbox one s plays them and this is supposed to be higher spec

  • +1

Thanks to site the sales went from 2 sold in the last hour to 11 sold in the last hour
we have practically just given him 5k of revenue in 30 minutes

  • Great price Im getting mine with the voucher from my republic deal though.

Buy it now people i doubt it would get cheaper before christmas.

    • Me too. Have MyRepublic sent you a voucher yet?

      • They posted on facebook yeaterday that there sending them out today.

  • As much as I want to pull the trigger I know something will pop up around the $450 market around Christmas. I'm not in a hurry but if the right deal pops up I'll go for it :P

    But great find otherwise!

    • no way its going to drop $120 before Christmas more likely will be other bundles like a new release game bundled with it for $599 so saving maybe $40 on a new release game

      • +2

Well I'm more interested in VR so if a VR bundle pops up that'll be the main reason I purchase one. And you never know, miracles happen.

        • Man I would be all over a decent Pro+VR bundle.

  • They need to pay eBay fees so can never be discounted bricks n mortar even with discounts …..so yeah cheaper than rrp but when do you need it. Still have an Xbox One 500 gb in box as spare which I thought would never be below $260 …..so for me it's post Christmas on ps4

  • +3

well i sold my ps4 a few months back for $450 but been missing my new hitman episodes and elusive targets and def wanting to play last guardian when it launches so basically upgrading to ps4 pro for $30 seem like a great deal for me.

    • +2

next you get this itch of wisdome let the team know here lol

  • +1

This is a bargain if you get a legit receipt with ABN number. Gotta make sure you have warranty.

  • Bought one, great find thanks

  • Thanks for posting - first thing I tried to find this morning and no one had it listed from the seller search.

  • Nevermind, it worked.

    • Brand New PS4 PlayStation 4 1TB Pro Console Factory Sealed Australia Stock With 1 Year Australia Warranty

  • +15

Dodgy. They just raised the original price from 599 to 615

    • +1

      Wow they did too!

      Sneaky bastards!

    • Wow they did too…good for those that still got in before the hike. It's still the cheapest option though.

  • omg this is so great! but will this have Australian Warranty? o.O

  • Kind of want one but I don't have a 4k tv..

    • +5

If you don't have a PS4, and are planning on getting a console… the PS4 Pro is the best option right now.
Especially at the $450 mark, it is good value.

The PS Platform is stronger than the Xbox Platform (in terms of 1st party, 3rd party, and indie games).
The PS4 Pro is slightly more expensive than the PS4 and PS4 Slim, but the added bonuses and future-proofing make it worthwhile.

The Xbox One Plus (aka Scorpio) will be better… but its a whole year away, so that's an entire year for Sony to widen its gap.
      …but I'm not sure that's a good thing.
You see developers like to be lazy, and it takes YEARS for a platform to mature.
So while the PS4 Pro is x2.3 times more powerful, most developers will be lazy in terms of optimisations, and you'd be lucky to get such bump in game quality. It will take time for the Pro to mature, and come to a point where it competes better against the OG PS4.\

Now apply that concept to the Xbox.
The Xbox One is already slower than the OG PS4 by a factor of roughly x1.5.
And the Scorpio is stated to be roughly x1.5 times more powerful than the PS4 Pro.
The difference between the two are at extremes of roughly ~x5.2 performance.
This can mean either developers will more likely abandon the OG Xbox One soon, for the Plus/Scorpio.
Or more likely, they will support both platforms, meaning titles for the Scorpio won't be as optimised.
So this extra year of maturation might give Sony the edge, and equalise the field somewhat.

And another point of consideration, at this point why would you not just get a gaming pc?
It becomes a more value orientated route, and the open ecosystem allows for much more room to stretch.

Just remember the ecosystem is as important as the product.

      • +1

What I find frustrating is the slow CPU processing power found on this generation.

Variation in graphical power could allow more powerful systems to run at higher resolutions, or greater texture quality, more polygons, better AA or AF or many other feature that can be enabled / disabled in typical PC games.

However CPU power is really can limit a games potential, if the same game is developed to work on XBox One, PS4, PS4 Pro and XBox Scorpio they'd have to design its processing limitations around the slowest CPU found on the PS4.

        • +3

          Exactly.

The Xbox One is a well balanced machine… but it was low end when it was released.
Now the Xbox One is super-low end.
The PS4 is better… but it really is bottlenecked by the CPU.

          But what can you expect?
These cores are only slightly faster than Intel's Atom cores.
Just because there's Six available for the developers, doesn't change that fact.

That's why these consoles can be beat by a modest pc like:
          - a TWO (2) core old processor… Intel Core i3 4130
          - only 4GB's of DDR3 RAM at a modest 1600MHz freq
          - any 11th generation GPU (or newer) with 2GB's RAM or more
Example, GTX 660 or AMD 7950.

      • The Xbox One is already slower than the OG PS4 by a factor of roughly x1.5.

I think it was actually that the PS4 was 1.5x (closer to 1.4x) the performance of the Xbox one. In reverse the Xbox one is .66x (closer to .7x) the performance of the PS4? ie Xbox is slower by a factor of .66x.

I may be arguing semantics here though so I'll just put the numbers hear as info. Tflops is essentially potential graphics performance, more is better.

        • XboxOne ~1.31 Tflops
        • PS4 ~1.84 Tflops
        • Xbox Scorpio ~6 Tflops
        • PS4 Pro ~4.2 Tflops

Xbox Scorpio is; ~4.5x Xbox One, ~3.2x PS4, 1.4x PS4 Pro. This obviously assumes a perfectly efficient system that is fully capable of utilising the hardware.

The PS Platform is stronger than the Xbox Platform (in terms of 1st party, 3rd party, and indie games).

I couldn't find a game that made owning the PS4 worthwhile, with even less options on the xbox one, this makes me feel truly sorry for Xbox one owners.

  • I bought one of these at release for $600 with one game from JB would love to buy this one and return the JB one, but seems like a lot of effort…

    • Saving yourself $150…gotta ask if that's worth your time.

I would put in the effort if:
      - You managed to snag the bargain
      - You don't have a busy schedule
      - You don't have a full TB's worth of slow transfer task ahead of you
(it took my brother's one a full 7 hours to transfer!)

  • +3

Was thinking heaps of time to decide as more than 10 left, then price just jacked up to $615 (before 20% off). Made decision easier to wait for another deal :)

    • A better deal: eBay's Target store; $559 - 20% = $447.20.

  • -3

for anyone looking to buy an xbox or ps4, this is the one to get. this got a huge hardware upgrade (unlike the Xbox One S) the performance in the pro has 2 video cards instead of 1, and clocked higher. gaming performance should net at least twice the fps and allow true 1080p gaming on high/max details and medium 4k. its performance is equivalent to a GTX 1060. it got a cpu upgrade too.

    • +1

what about project scorpio thats coming out later which will be better in specs than this?

      • -2

You are talking a console which is due out Christmas 2017? This is if there are no delays.
Right now, ps4 pro is the most powerful console available.

        • +5

yes but comparing the pro to the one s is not worthwhile, when the scorpio will outperform it. Also there is little support for the pro atm, and by the time there is any meaningful improvement the scorpio will be out.

        • @SumoJuz: The PS5 will outperform the scorpio by that logic

        • @2pro4sho: Yes, and thus for the sake of brevity and convenience i like to keep my comparisons within the same generation of consoles, i.e. ps4 vs xbox one, slim vs one s, pro vs scorpio. There's little point in me comparing a ps4 to a famicom is there?

        • @SumoJuz: the scorpio is quite a while away, which is why i didn't include it. nobody who is looking for a console now is going to wait for scorpio.

        • @SumoJuz: To be fair, the same can be said about the Scorpio though. With the rumored specs of the Scorpio i would be very surprised if they launched it for under $650. Not only that but there will be little support for the Scorpio and by time there is any meaningful improvement the PS5 will be out.

        • @nomoneynoproblems: PS5 is rumored to be released mid 2018. Who knows, the Scorpio may end up being the Microsoft next gen console that rivals the PS5. Until a definitely date is announced, PlayStation Pro holds the crown.

      • I will be waiting for project Scorpio. Forget the fanboys negging comments. There's a reason Sony released this console early and undercooked imo. If you're a Sony fan, go for it but if you're happy to wait to see which will be more powerful and better supported, wait 12 months.

        • i just buy playstation for it's exclusives like uncharted, horizon zero dawn and the last guardian, i've given up on the xbox as all its exclusives now come out on PC day in date and with xbox friends list built into windows 10, why wait for the Scorpio when you could build a decent spec PC for same price

        • +2

@spedstyle: I would argue a console is fairly cheaper if you plan on just gaming, i mean a gtx 1060 goes for roughly $300 AUD, and that's just the graphics card, you're still short a case, cpu, motherboard, psu and peripherals. On top of that, there's the convenience of not worrying if the game will work on your pc, case in point the bioshock remaster, or any number of ports. But yes i agree the case for PS4 vs Xbox should really just come down to exclusives.

      • I always buy the gaming console for games.
In this case, PS4 has games I want while Xbox has non.

        • +1

That's exactly the reason you should buy a console. I'm the opposite. Love racing and fps and playing online so it's xbox all day. If I liked indie and Japanese games, it'd be playstation. There's also the fact that when you buy a first party game on xbox you get it on the pc as well.

        • @imurgod: how is it Xbox all day? I'm no ps4 fanboy but I don't see how Xbox would be ahead of ps for racing and fps games?

        • +2

@ausbob71: FPS imo is the same but Forza Horizon is on a different level to Gran Turismo. Again this is just my opinion.

        • @kujikabuto: ok cool I haven't played forza on Xbox one have been playing a bit of project cars and dirt rally on the ps4 and they look and play good.

        • @ausbob71: to be honest and you're mostly right but horizon 3 is truly a game to behold and titanfall 2 is exceptional (to name 2 recent titles).

I know it's an age old topic but having the elite controller is a huge plus as well.

I prefer the online experience and free games on xbox by far also.

That said, it really is a matter of taste and having experienced both systems, it's xbox all day for me. All but 2 friends of mine who have both systems prefer xbox as well.

A big plus for PS is the sheer number of people online and the last of us.

A huge issue for me personally is the fact that Sony seems to not be able to keep peoples details from being leaked. Not good enough for a paid service IMHO.

Both systems have pros and cons and it's up to the individual to ascertain what suits them. What your friends play usually forms a large part of your decision too.

As far as the next consoles, Ps pro doesn't look to me like it offers enough over the Ps4 and whilst Scorpio is a year away, the rumours of what it's going to offer put it far in the lead.

At the moment, my xbox provides what I want and I'm willing to wait a year to see what's on offer.

What I won't do is buy undercooked crap again like the xbox was on release. Thank goodness they worked hard on it and it's a beast today because I was not a happy customer to begin with.

Lastly, regardless of console, how good is project cars?!! Have you checked out Assetto corsa? Very nice as well!

          Sorry for the long post.

    • +1

The PS4 Pro does not have "2 video cards", because not only is the GPU integrated with the CPU on one die (thus not a "card"), but it is also just a larger GPU, not two.

      • -1

ok, two video chips? i already knew that but people would understand it better if i said cards. either way it is 2 GPUs on there

  • +5

I'm confused this is still a good deal isn't it/cheapest around by far even after they've jacked the price? 20% off $615 brings it down to $492, they're still available and as far as I'm aware of the codes still works? Shouldn't the deal just be updated or reposted with new price?

    • +3

You are correct. The code still works and new price is still the cheapest atm

    • +1

      Yep, updated now.

  • The PS4 Pro and Xbox One S are exactly why I have not invested much money into this generation of consoles. Normally I would be confident in my consoles purchases (I usually aim to get all the consoles and even special edition ones) but I knew from last generation that they would do upgrades so I don't see much point in getting any more than the basic console versions so I don't feel like I am losing a lot of money by being an early adopter, or at least save some money for the eventual upgrades late on in their life cycles.

  • back in stock?

  • +2

I thought $559 is the price set by Sony. How come these people charging more than Sony Price?

    • Because they can, and because people will pay it

      • shipping + ebay fees + coz they can
    • +2

Welcome to Ebay sales, retailers jack the prices up and let Ebay subsidise the discount.

    • eBay charges 15%+ fees as well as PayPal. They would be selling at a loss if they charged brick and mortar RRP.

      • Then don't use eBay to sell your goods?

        • They are clearly making money though by being able to sell in this 20% off sale, since eBay is subsidising the cost to the consumer.

That said I believe most retailers also lose money at the RRP 559, they make up the cost by bundling it with games usually, which is where their margin is.

  • you can reap the benefits of this console if you have a good 2k monitors with high ghz and low latency lag.

  • Just purchase one, thanks OP

  • +5

Just curious but why does everyone have faith in an eBay seller with only 75 feedback? According to their eBay profile, they've only been around since September 2016, bit of a risk don't you think? I understand that you can just get a refund with PayPal but why risk it? I'm tempted to pull the trigger on one but I feel as though I should wait for a more established seller. Does anyone know whether eBay will be expanding the list of sellers that support the 20% off tech sale more than the 39 that it already has?

    • and I thought an ebay rating that low couldnt be posted as a deal here.

  • +1

So any one who bought it can confirm if ABN/GST information is provided on the invoice ?
