Further Info/Tips

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

      • Thanks seems to have fixed it.

  • Question.. If your locked price is higher than the pump price, do you / is it better to use / scan the voucher anyway because it will use the cheaper of the two prices (?), then after that you can lock the price for that day, if you want to (because the voucher has been used)?

    • +1

Yes - use the voucher, take the lower pump price, then lock the price again

      • cool just what i thought. thanks for confirming

  • Once you lock a price, before the 7 days have elapsed, can you cancel the locked price/voucher and/or relock new price?

    • +1

just go and fill up a litre

      • +1

        Minimum 2L from memory

      • make sense although bit of a hassle

    • +1

      hey,

Just make another account.. I run 2 accounts. one is always locked in, one is always not locked in.

      Steve.

  • +1

Terminal gate prices are on their way down for diesel, I'm not locking in just yet.

    • Thanks :)

    • +1

They're on their way down for ULP too, my fuel lock expires on Sunday so hopefully they won't rise before then. 98 is back in the $1.50s and 91 is in the $1.30s #sweet

  • +2

Nox is no longer able to work here.. . Can't login in 7-11 app. Error: Foxtrot or Golf. use Window PC

Have tried updated Nox to 6.2.5.2, multi-instance manager from emulator, also changed mobile phones model and IMEI on Interface setting tab. All no luck…someone pls suggest help.

    • Having the same thing happening for me, lucky for me Uber just announced bigger discounts 14c off ULP @ Caltex! Not sure what has changed recently but it's doing somthing…

      • Wow, you're a platinum driver?

        • +2

          Yep :) 3yrs 9,796 rides and sitting on a 4.98 rating 😋

          • @Gomo: Crazy. Should do an AMA ;) What's the percentage of riders leaving a rating? For me, it's about 33%.

            • @ronnknee: Ever since Uber Changed the app you can't see the total amount of rated trips,

              I Can only guess by badges as I have a 3,000 5 Star Badge & a 5,000 5 Star Badge.

That might mean only 50% of my rides have been rated! But doesn't bother me.. I haven't caught a ride with the app since they've update it not sure if it forces the riders to rate or they can just swipe it away without leaving feedback !

AMA Plenty of them been done I'm sure of it, I just live life doing what I enjoy that's why I do it

              • +1

@Gomo: Ah right, just remembered it shows the last 500 ratings so that's why you wouldn't know (I haven't reached 500 yet so it looks like it shows the total) haha. Pretty cool.

  • What's the latest way of fuel locking rn, I'm on android on the S8 and also I have nox on mac and stopped working a few days ago because I signed out.

    • +4

Probably my modified APK (for now( which is floating around here..

      • +2

Thanks, I found your modified APK

    • +2

Probably my modified APK (for now( which is floating around here..

      • Hi @Freighter all the link's I've clicked on seem to indicate the file is expired.
Would be really appreciated if you could re-upload again please.

Nox has also stopped working for me once logged out. :(

      • I got 404 file not found from this link: https://my.mixtape.moe/bxctuj.apk
        Can you please help ?

      • +2

im getting the foxtrot error when I try to log in still though… anyone else?

        • +1

          I got the same error

          • +2

@BeatlesFans: Maybe there is a problem logging in at the moment. I too have an issue logging in with 2 accounts.. I just use my TitaniumBackup of the 7Eleven app and restore that when I need to login again

        • Same. Not good! :(

  • -5

Is e10 compelling at 4c cheaper than u91? Thoughts guys?

    • +7

Only if you're returning a rental car.

      • I've used e10 in my Holden Cruze for over 5yrs now with over 231,000km done no fuel related issues have occurred

        • Agreed. Mostly scare campaign. However I don't get why in Sydney it's 2c cheaper than U91 but qld is 4c cheaper.

        • +5

It's not about compatibility but rather fuel density. I've been found that E10 gets me at least 5% worse mileage but is only 2-3% cheaper than U91. Not worth it.

          • @plasmapuff: ^ this so much. The savings doesn't out weigh the loss in mileage. Even the checkout did a 'test'. Needs to be cheaper.

    • Damn, what are the negs all about? Lol

  • +2

    131.5 (U91) Guildford NSW

  • +4

Right now it’s cheaper to get fuel from Caltex woolies in nsw with 4c off vouchers and discounted wish gift cards.

    • Same price as lock in Perth but I find my car significantly more fuel efficient with mobil fuel, dunno why…

  • any ways of fixing up Nox so that we can lock the fuel again?

    • +1

The 7-Eleven app on my physical phone is also presenting the same Foxtrot error upon trying to log back in.

    • +2

The nox multidrive method that someone mentioned above seems to be working for me

      • +1

Could you kindly explain the approach you specifically took using this method?

        • +6

          Open nox multidrive

          Add emulator

          choose 7.1.2

launch it and download the 7/11 app via google play

use the nox location spoofing and lock in the price

          Save $$$

          • @Ten: How did you get the 7.1.2 ?
In my "Add emulator" the latest one i can see is 5.1.1 which i already installed.

  • +4

For those of us on Mac, NOX has finally released a patch (Mac version V1.2.5.0) that fixes the stuck at 99% start up issue.

Edit: Finally got NOX working but now I'm running into the 7/11 app login issue (error foxtrot)

    • +1

      same, getting error foxtrot

    • +1

Same here = cannot log in / Foxtrot

      • Anyone got this working on mac NOX after getting foxtrot error during login?

  • Hi Guys,

I have been using nox_setup_v6.1.1.0_full_intl and now I can't seem to login.

Can someone if who has encountered the same problem tell me what they did to resolve this issue?

    • We are getting negged.

  • -5

I'm running into the 7/11 app login issue (error foxtrot)
    this my problem as well,

we need a OZB genius to crack this issue.

I tried all different emulators unistalled/reinstalled.

    out of ideas/

    • -3

      What's with the neg votes?

      • +1

It's been discussed over and over in previous posts

  • +2

Hey guys, I resolved the foxtrot issue by updating the android version within NOX to the latest ( think its 7, its in beta). I noticed the 7eleven app always comes up with a popup that says its dropping support for android versions under 6, so this made sense. I cant guarantee this works, but it did work for me.

    • -5

      Thanks Happy will try again.
(profanity) why other comments get negged.

      • +2

Maybe because a workaround was posted just slightly further up this page.

You certainly are living up to your name though.

        • -3

Thanks for that. I have followed your advice earlier. Still no go. maybe I shall have to advise that I have read evey comment before asking. My bad. tried clearing cache etc. Might reinstall Nox. after purging all temp files as well.

          boo hoo

          • +1

@boo hoo: Give it a try on the latest PC win version. Should be working by following teninchdk's post step by step if u scroll up a bit.

            • @OrigamiRabbit: cheers mate

            • @OrigamiRabbit: Hey Origami,
Even though Nox was installed a couple of weeks ago.
and emulator 7.1 said no updates available.

I uninstalled/installed Nox and now all good.

              So to all the neggers,
Get Far Away you Country baskets.

              • @boo hoo: I believe it's all about NOXplayer version, not the android emulator. NOXplayer is often getting regular updates and the only way I found to patch to the latest version is to download the whole file from bignox web and overwrite the outdated one, so keep one's eyes peeled on it when something cannot be workaround.
Edit: glad you sort it out. :P

    • +2

Dem feels when you locked in this morning.

    • Wow I checked before and the lowest was 129.7 or so at Ryde.

The TGP is still dropping so I wonder how much further they will fall. Most in Brisbane still seem to be at the mid $1.30s.

    • I seek comfort in the fact that it's "only $1.50" I'm going to lose (at this stage).

  • +37

    Howdy Rowdy.

I've been slowly working on a new method to lock in fuel prices. It works on all devices since it is locked in via your web browser. It's pretty simple in functionality, you log in, you can either choose to automatically lock in a "best" price, or you can manually enter a location if it is cheaper and the price checker script hasn't updated yet. It also locks in the maximum it can for the amount of credit you have on your account, so no more scrolling up and down!

Here's a quick video, sorry that I put all those stupid little boxes everywhere, I'm not an expert in video editing and I didn't want an email and first name/account details out there for you all to snoop at ;o).

I'm hoping that as "proof" you can see that I click "Lock it in!" and then it gives me a success message on the computer, and after I log into the phone and it shows the same time (4:12pm) throughout the clip after I press lock in.. and then match that to the fuel price that is shown on the voucher and bam!

note: I have Fake GPS running so it doesn't show my house location, but that is simply set to somewhere in Sunshine, Vic. But that was for the first video I made which didn't seem to refresh the voucher when I was on the homepage, but I can upload that one if you prefer more proof..

    Bang bang!

    • Well done .. I am happy to see new ways to score the best prices being developed… (and I say this as i am currently being teased/PO by nox which is not playing the game, and with literally enough petrol to make it to the service station in the morning haha)

    • Impressive. Can't wait till this goes live.

    • +2

nice… though i can see this ending badly ;)
but i guess the apk's still working, so who knows how 'easy' a solution can be made before the whole system implodes :)

    • +5

      amazing…

although how do you guarantee that you're not storing our username/password? Note that this is not trying to be difficult, but a pretty standard question in scenarios where you use 3rd party apps to authenticate. Usually some kind of token/api key is used in such situations.

    • great effort, looking forward to this going live

    • @Freighter Any updates about when this might go live? :)

  • +2

    https://au.finance.yahoo.com/news/aussie-petrol-prices-plumm…

The average cost of unleaded petrol in Australia have just recorded the largest decline in a decade. Here's why.

    • Great news. Haven't seen unleaded prices in the 120s for a while.

  • +1

Keep holding guys, petrol prices are tanking incredibly hard and are likely to keep dropping until OPEC reduces supply (which won't happen for a few weeks at least) so we should go even lower hopefully!!

    ALL IMO

  • Do anyone know how to fix this on the Nox (version 7, its in beta). It says 'Please ensure the device time setting is set to automatic'. - Error Code Foxtrot

Even though I already set it to Sydney time and everything is on automatic. So why is it saying i need to set the device time (nox player) to auto when everything is auto. Do anyone know how to fix that? Thanks

  • Just realised how to get around this. I found that your windows (PC) time needs to be set on automatic (ie the nox player would do the same) so your PC time and Nox player time needs to be the same. And this error would disappeared. I hope that helps.

So if anyone had the same problem. Remember to set your PC time and Nox player 'Both on Automatic'.

    • I am using modified apk and getting " an unknown error occurred" when tapping on "find my best local price"

      • You would need to gotta 'multi drive' section in NOX and install the Version 7 Beta. And than do what you normally do as the previous NOX and remember to setup the location and auto-time for the search.

    • Hmm tried your method but didn't work- although my nox version is still 6.1.1 so will try with the newer version and report back.

  • Anyone getting this opening the app?

    Service Notification
We're currently having technical difficulties and some Android devices may experience issues with the app.Hold on tight, we're working on a fix.

Hmmm I wonder if we're about to see a new app released & back to square one?

    • Looks like its fixed & working again

  • +2

U91 127.9 at Epping NSW. Not on the website but just saw it as I went past.

    E10 125.9

    • U98 145.9 11-seven doesn't say even close to this

  • +6

Now would be a fantastic time for Waverley Gardens to run out of 91…

  • U91 129.9 at Surfers Paradise, QLD and Mt Gravatt East, QLD

    • how are you locking it? moded apk is giving error to me

  • Just passed by 7-11 in Auburn NSW,E10 is at @126.

  • is it just me or is @master131 script playing up?

    • Fixed now it seems

  • yep, it has.

    Thanks for the heads up.

  • +1

I realise this won't help everyone, but for those with a ROOTED phone (or able to root):

Install the Xposed Framework. From the Xposed Installer app, install the module called "Hide Mock Locations". Once done, you can use FakeGPS with the 7-Eleven app no problems and no errors. Been using this for around a year with no issues. Extremely simple once set up.

    • Are you using it with the modified 7-eleven app or the original?

      • Original app, that's the beauty of it. Never had an issue with regular updates from the play store.

    • Or if you use Magisk instead of SuperSU, then Magisk hide will do too.
