(ALDI) Clearance: Updated List of Items (Post Your Local Clearances)

In the past few months, I've noticed ALDI's clearance items increase hugely. Most of the time it is stock that has been in the store for the while but sometimes it's new stock which mysteriously appears.

So as I go to ALDI in Brunswick multiple times in the week, I'd thought I'd post an updated list of what clearance stuff they have going that looks interesting. We've had people post they've seen cheap bikes or whatever but only a couple in stock.

Spot a good clearance item? Post a comment in this thread with the item, date, location, quantity left and price.

Found this discounted at local ALDI .
Might not be as good as more expensive ones but worth a shot for the price.
Around 10 in stock at the time of purchase.

    Lenovo Tab M10 3rd Gen $139

It was already a good deal when first offered for $199, a great deal when they lowered it to $149; now, for $139, it's a steal!

Merged from [NSW] Ferrex Planer Thicknesser 1500W $99.99 @Aldi Dee Why
    Go to Deal

I was walking through the center isles today at Aldi in Dee Why Grand and noticed the Thicknesser on clearance for $99.99. At that price I'll add it to my storage in the garage.

They had 2-3 remaining in Dee Why. Unsure about other stores.

    • Nice. Wish I'd spot one near me at that price.

  • Merged from Ferrex Pressure Washer 2000W $99.99 @ ALDI
    Go to Deal

Seems like a good price compared to other pressure washers here, and at the same price of the ALDI Ferrex deal last year, but is 2000W instead of 1600W.

    • Never tried these aldi electronic applicances, are they any good?

      • +1

We have a washing machine (if a pressure washer counts as "electronic," more so would a washing machine, I reckon), and have no complaints.

      • +4

        Good and different.

      • +1

I've found Aldi brand appliances/tools (Sterling, Ferrex, etc) have a bad rep online, but I've bought a lot of it and have had 0 issues. Lawn mower, power tools, dishwasher, stovetop, kettle, blender, etc. Actually we did have a small problem with our Sterling heat pump dryer (still worked, it just leaked a little water each load) but they came out and replaced it with a new Esatto one!

      • +1

All of my garden landscaping stuff from Aldi. First 2 years I used petrol versions but now I switched to battery ones for the last 2 years. No issue so far.

      • +1

I bought lawnmower self-propelled, blower, chainsaws, drills, power tools, etc. All still going strong with no issues at all. I really like the mower. Rice cooker I got last year is awesome for 70 bucks.

    • Any Rice Cookers this time around?

      • +1

Probably a couple of months. Worth the wait.

        • +1

Yeah, been hangin' for one. Stupid me, had about 3 units left a couple of months ago and were marked down to 38$ methinks and I never went for it. Bangin' my head now alright.

    • High quality stuff

    • +2

Just wait a week or so before buying, they’ll be discounted by then.

      • That's my routine and was gonna post and suggest the same thing. 👍

        • You mean it’ll be further reduced? Genuine question, since it’s already on clearance.

          • +1

@mocha_latte: Yep. Usually when there's only few items left. Aldi just wanna get rid of 'em right out before bringing in the next Special Buys.

            • @pacificstorm: I'd rather take it at the "full" special price, then repo-return it if they discount it further. I've just done that yesterday on two Lenovo tablets I had already repo-returned once, from $199 to $149, and then again from $149 to $99. This way I don't run the risk of not getting any, like you did with the rice cooker. It's zero risk; if staff refuse to accept the return with the older receipt, you just return it with the new receipt, and keep the one you purchased at the "full" special price.

    • +1

Even the pressure of water is subject to inflation!!

    • +2

Bought an Aldi pressure washer years ago. The hose got leaky after a year or so. Tried the customer care hotline numerous times but never answered by a human, could never get support, hence could never get a new hose - had to throw away the whole washer because of what would have been a simple spare part for a name-brand washer, or even a cheapy from a shop that actually sells washers.

I will not make the same mistake again.

      • +2

If you kept the receipt you could have returned it. I got a refund on a couple of large things over a year after purchase date because they had issues.

        • +1

Exactly. Or just a picture of the receipt will do, as quite a few ALDI staff kindly let me know.

      • Yeah this is the killer with this stuff (I was also burnt by an Aldi pressure washer)

There are no fittings or hoses you can buy that fit, at least not that I could find. Wanted an extension, no deal. Something to clean out my gutters? Nope.

My local bunnings has the GERNI 3000 on clearance $79, not sure if its the same at all bunnings

      • +1

Little less PSI tho. AlDI one says 2219 where GERNI 3000 is 1670 PSI

        • +2

Maximum pressure are lies. It only mean the machine will break when operate over this limit (which it will never).

Nominal pressure for Aldi 1479psi, Gerni 3000 1232psi.
Only top range ones like Gerni 7000/7300 can go over 2000psi.

    Stock clearance.
    5years skin, 1year battery & charger warranty.
    5 in stock. 10am 27/OCT.

    • +1

Damn that's a decent deal. Batteries and charger alone are worth half that, leaving $70 for a circular saw (worth $50+) an angle grinder (worth $40+) and the drill + driver (worth $50 together) .

      Definitely a winner

    • I saw it yesterday at Mentone, and then at Southland, so it seems to be city/statewide. At southland they dropped it to $125 which I just couldn't pass up. You can tell they are cheaper tools (the usb is limited to 1amp and the torch has the old through-hole vs the smd cree type) but for a basic set it does the job. The circular saw seems capable for smaller jobs

    • no vesa FYI

      • Spec Sheet for the model on LG says "Wall Mountable 100 x 100 mm", so should be VESA compatible.

    • +3

Wish Aldi's online stock system was better so you could actually check stocks for older items around the country.

      • +1

That would require not operating their business like it’s 2007. Can’t have that.

        Such a backwards company.

        • +1

LOL. It is quite stupid given clearly their backend system allows them to do it, they just seem to arbitrarily wipe out each item after a few weeks for no real reason. I would have thought having it keep working on all in stock items until they were all gone would actually help clear more stock to people hunting for certain items.

          • +1
