(ALDI) Clearance: Updated List of Items (Post Your Local Clearances)

In the past few months, I've noticed ALDI's clearance items increase hugely. Most of the time it is stock that has been in the store for the while but sometimes it's new stock which mysteriously appears.

So as I go to ALDI in Brunswick multiple times in the week, I'd thought I'd post an updated list of what clearance stuff they have going that looks interesting. We've had people post they've seen cheap bikes or whatever but only a couple in stock.

Spot a good clearance item? Post a comment in this thread with the item, date, location, quantity left and price.

    Not sure if it matches up to a Weber equivalent in terms of quality. But cannot complain about a sub $200 option.

    Grab one yesterday at Tarneit Central Shopping Centre (Victoria), not sure if this is a local store deal. But there are a few of them left on the floor after I pick one up.

    Maybe someone can comment if there are similar deals out at other stores around Melb.

            @22slurpee: The one that we bought shown the original price to be $269. I will take a photo the next time im back.
            Gonna keep the receipt and get the difference if it ever goes down to $99 at our local one.

    These must have been a special buy in the past week. I saw these at the Melbourne City Aldi, I grabbed a few, but there was still a couple left. Maybe worth checking out the special buys area if you're going there anyway.

    Went back today for some Atlantic Salmon - Drumkit now $199.
    About $200+ under the cheapest electronic Drumkit around.

    Hi guys, saw this reduced at local ALDI in Midland, WA with 4 in Stock.
    Has been featured as a deal here before at $299, though that seems to be the standard price now.
    Now reduced to $199, so if that's your thing head to your nearest ALDI and see if they have stock.
    No idea how this stacks up against the more popular Xiaomi range of air purifiers.
    No personal experience with anything except the rather large Blue Air Purifiers we have running continuously at work.

    Saw this at ALDI Scoresby this morning. While I've heard of the product I didn't have much knowledge of it and only checked the product website to find out more before posting.

    At 30 bucks might be OK to give it a try - would be useful in the office if there is no proper coffee machine provided. I reckon the capsule version (the only version they have) is also the more convenient one. Still thinking about it - there were a few left so I guess I could still snag one in the next day or so if I decide to get one.

    -Bicycle trainer for $22.50
    -Bathroom radiant heater for $20, down from $40. Basically the price of the bulbs

            @brisdaz: Well, that depends on how much effort you wanted to expend. There's good solutions I can think of, but they'd largely involve custom tools, and then a big campaign to get people to actually use them so that they were actually worth a damn

            With the existing system, at a minimum I would trim the thread. Local deals are usually short lived and don't exist after a few weeks, so there's no point keeping a long thread going back years. People unfamiliar see the first page of this thread and think 'Oh this is all old news'.
            3 months max would be better.
            You could have one thread as "Current" and the other as "Historical" if you wanted to keep it for the purely information value

            Involving a little more effort, you could create an entire subgroup devoted to local deals, and use the tagging system to track them. A deal gets posted, the poster specifies the postcode as a tag. Users then have the option to subscribe to post codes in the area they live or work at.
            It means that users have to do most of the work to really make use of the system, but for many people that would be easy enough. You just use something like this to identify the areas you want notifications for https://www.education.vic.gov.au/Documents/school/principals…

    Aldi Springvale (SE MELB) has timber frame beds for $99 (down from $249) in king, queen and double.
    They also had gas fired smokers, down to $149 from $250, and heavy duty trailer loading ramps for $40 (down from $100)

    I saw both the bed frames and the smoker at Southland (SE MELB) too, which makes me think it's probably a statewide discount.

    Aldi Wangaratta is having a couple of the 29er mountain bike from last year for $210, great bargain considering it was more than double that when released. if my legs were a little bit longer I'd have dragged one home 😭

            @lordra: You can ask one of the managers there to check stock levels at other stores, and if they're feeling nice they might even call the store and get them to hold it for you. I used to work at ALDI so they're able to, just depends if they can be assed lol
