(ALDI) Clearance: Updated List of Items (Post Your Local Clearances)

In the past few months, I've noticed ALDI's clearance items increase hugely. Most of the time it is stock that has been in the store for the while but sometimes it's new stock which mysteriously appears.

So as I go to ALDI in Brunswick multiple times in the week, I'd thought I'd post an updated list of what clearance stuff they have going that looks interesting. We've had people post they've seen cheap bikes or whatever but only a couple in stock.

Spot a good clearance item? Post a comment in this thread with the item, date, location, quantity left and price.

Should be able to price match at OW tio6

Looks like a manager's markdown, so would be hard to get a price match at office works. Which Aldi store was it?

    • Great keyboard for my media centre/TV setup, love it.

    • Need one!

    • +2

It's OZB's favorite, buy and then chuck in the cabinet never to be used again, keyboard!

    • Officeworks will not price beat if it is clearance stock.

    • Thanks OP. I got OW at Pitt St, Sydney to pricematch. Paid $28.49 for it. Told the staff that I couldn't find it on their site, but showed the photo. Worked a charm!
btw, they had plenty in stock.

  • Merged from Nokia 5.1 Unlocked (5.5" Screen, 16GB Internal Storage) $199 @ ALDI
    Go to Deal

Amazing price for a Nokia 5.1 compared to the price at Harvey Norman. I saw this at Aldi's and knew I had to share it here.

Quite a good budget phone which will fit the needs of anyone looking for a phone at this price point

Get the 6.1 from Toby Deals instead.

double the ram, four times the nvram, same price.

Granted its HK nonsense but its worth the risk.

      • +1

        Agreed

      • Is it really a good phone? I need to get something decent for my 13yo son, his Nexus 5x started boot looping.

        • Go for it

        • +1

          Grab the 6.1

One of the strongest phones on the market perfect for 13yo.

I got one last year for Godson

      • +3

I agree that the phone itself is much better in pretty much every way… However, some people seem to prefer buying the phone from a local store

16 GB storage big turn off for me.

      • +1

Put a microSD card in it. No biggie.

      • +2

2GB RAM is a much bigger problem. 3GB is probably the absolute minimum for a comfort use nowadays.

    • How's the camera on these Nokia phones?

      • Carl Zeiss lens (I think that's the name) on the 6.1 can't be bad 16mp from memory

Seems good enough for most situations and at that price, got one as a backup after a recent mishap lol

        • Carl Zeiss lens (I think that's the name) on the 6.1 can't be bad

          uh yeah it can …

      • Passable to good, in high light.

Poor to useless in low light.

    • How would this compare to an old Galaxy S6 edge? I'm asking for a, uhhhh, friend. 😞

      • -1

Don't bother. It's not even an upgrade

Merged from 4x4 Tough Go off Road Front and Rear Car Mats $19.99 ALDI Erskine Park NSW
    Go to Deal

I was in Aldi at Erskine Park and picked up a set of 4x4 Rubber Car Mats front and rear for $19.99. They were in part of the Special buys section. They had 8-10 sets at that store

    • How much are these normally ?

      • $19.99. They only went "on sale" on Saturday, there will be plenty of stock around still. No idea why someone thought they belonged in this clearance thread when they're still regular price.

  • Merged from [VIC] Medion Life+ Smart Plug S85225 $12.99 @ ALDI

Not sure if this is across all stores but the Medion Life+ Smart Plug is selling for $12.99 at Brunswick Aldi marked as a "clearance" item. Allows control via an app over wifi and includes power monitoring (can't vouch for the accuracy of this). User manual

  • Merged from Motorola G6 32GB Unlocked Mobile Phone $199 @ Aldi (Warrawong)

Nice price for a mid range phone.
Clearance item so price may vary store to store. About 8 in the window at Warrawong at time of posting.

    • +3

Looks locked to me and that glass is thick

      • If you knew Warrawong, you'd understand why ;)

    • And it includes $30 Aldi Mobile credit by looks of it

    • Was the photo taken on a potato?

    • Oh nice it is the special 326 bytes edition.

    • same price at Eastwood NSW

    • Bass Hill NSW, has about 8+ in the locked cabinet left.

  • Merged from Oral-B Refill Toothbrush Heads 8 Pack $29.99 @ ALDI
    Go to Deal

Not as good as the Costco deal but Aldi is much more accessible. The picture was taken at Rhodes NSW. Works out to be $3.75 per head which I think is pretty good value and on par with the Woolworths deal a few weeks ago.

  • Merged from NSW ALDI 3 pack Brilliant Smart Lights $20
    Go to Deal

Found at ALDI Warrawong. A pity to have already bought some a few weeks ago for 40 bucks. Unsure of what stores have stock but defo worth a look. Happy hunting!

Buy another set and then return them with the old receipt.

      • Can't find the old reciept. Got any ideas?

        • +1

Bank records or go back to the original store. They may just do it as no one else sells the product and it is less than 60 days.

      • went to local Aldi and it still scanned as $39.99 and the manager wouldn't budge the price.!!

Edit: hmm this is in slightly wrong branch of the thread and i cant move it/remove it

        • Anyone know if any stores in Brisbane still have any at any price?

    • Friends, picked up a set the other day for ($40 qq). Personally I'm not too keen on the "brilliant" app, seriously the permissions are crazy (I suggest you check them out beforehand) + needing an account to use it was an instant return from me. They also annoyingly flash blue for a second when you turn them on.

    • do you need anything else to connect them to wifi?

      • +1

Friend, they dont need a hub, but they do need

        Location

        approximate location (network-based)
        precise location (GPS and network-based)

        Photos/Media/Files

read the contents of your USB storage
modify or delete the contents of your USB storage

        Storage

read the contents of your USB storage
modify or delete the contents of your USB storage

        Camera

        take pictures and videos

        Microphone

        record audio

        Wi-Fi connection information

        view Wi-Fi connections

        Other

        receive data from Internet
        view network connections
        pair with Bluetooth devices
        access Bluetooth settings
        change network connectivity
        allow Wi-Fi Multicast reception
        connect and disconnect from Wi-Fi
        full network access
        change your audio settings
        control vibration
        prevent device from sleeping
        Google Play license check

access, which is utterly ridiculous. An absolute botnet.

        • Google bundled Bluetooth with location permission (since they claim Bluetooth can also be used to determine location.) It needs this permission so it can use Bluetooth to discover and set up the devices.

It does also use your location though to provide the weather conditions and so it knows when sunrise and sunset is if you wish to use it in your automations.

I use Smart Life instead of the brilliant app but the permissions are the same. It hasn't requested storage, audio or camera permissions in everyday use.

Once you've added the lights you can disable the location permission if you wish.

Ultimately if you don't want it on the cloud, flash it with Tasmota or similar. I believe they've got the OTA flashing working again with these new lights.

    • Bass Hill NSW, has 10+ left in the locked cabinet

  • Merged from Arlo Pro 2 Camera Pack $349 ALDI, Seville Victoria
    Go to Deal

I saw this in the cabinet at Seville Aldi yesterday. Not sure how many left but I’ve seen them there for the last month and the price has just dropped to $349 which is the cheapest I’ve seen. If you’re in the market for some and you’re close this is for you.

    • For a moment I read it as “Arlo Pro 2” model

      • +1

Oops. I hadn’t thought about how that could be read.
