    Is this Bluetooth version?

  • +3

I thought the newest versions had bluetooth?

    • +2

They do, these are the second revisions without bluetooth.

    • +3

Edit: yep, these aren't the newest versions. Good price (hence the upvote), but if you want to use this with your PC you'll still need to buy a usb dongle.

      • +7

Or just use a micro usb cable to connect the controller to the pc.

        • -3

Except for obvious point that using a Micro USB cable completely and utterly defeats the purpose of buying a WIRELESS controller.

        • +5

          @llama:

No it doesn't. It defeats the purpose of wirleless functionality but not the purpose of buying a wireless controller.

By using the cable you are still using an excellently made controller, and probably are reducing the lag time as there are greater delays between wirleess connections and physical connections.

You are often a bit too dramatic llama.

Just a heads up, these aren't the new one s controllers, as in they don't connect via bluetooth and shorter range.

  • -1

After the ozsale fiasco from previous deal , be careful and they ended up gen 1 , not as advertised

If I recall correctly keep an eye on Amazon and you can get them for around this price guaranteed genuine

    • +10

Lunar white & Covert Forces are gen 2 models

      • -1

        Plenty of unhappy customers

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/293452

        • +7

Yep, I get it, but these colours aren't gen 1 colours… Black could be anything, these only have 1 option. And are advertised as retail packed, which the black weren't.

        • +5

@easternculture: it'd have to also be in a completely different colour given these were not available as gen 1.

I think odds are it's correct and the previous time was a bad copy and paste on the stores part given the descriptions for gen 1 and 2 black controllers would otherwise be largely the same (no IR in gen 2 but I don't think many people notice or miss that detail).

        • @Smigit:

well you have been warned. Buy away and let me know the outcome

Ozsale have no control over stock. Its the merchant that ships them and its seems they were dodgy in the first xbox controller deal. Just saying.

    • +3

      yeah, OzSale are pretty shifty.

    • Honestly I wonder how they manage a profit selling them so low compared to everyone else. Unless they are cheap to begin with, and other retailers are overpricing them, in which case i wont be surprised.

      • +1

Could be the fact they're a superseded model too. Might have got them cheap as a result.

      • -1

Ozsale don't own nor control the stock. It's supplied and usually shipped by a 3rd party merchant (who usually buy It in bulk via tenders, auctions (grays online) or contracts with Microsoft or importers (Ingram Micro) ) hence why ozsale don't care if they are dodgy or not because they are still getting there cut of the sale.

It's similar to the Msata SSD's that were selling on eBay in 2015 , which were supplied and bought from grays online in bulk for ~ $20 each and then sold on eBay for $70 - $100.

You will also find that some items bought through this process (may or may not apply to this sale) will have the serial numbers delisted and blocked from warranty.

        • I see, thanks for the explanation mate. I don't think I'll be buying from them.

    • Not to mention we're still waiting for our Elite controllers from OzSales' sister company OO.com after 3 months.

  • +4

Thanks OP. The wireless xbox one adapter dongles are on sale for $15 too! I bought mine for $20 and their RRP's $30.

    • Should prob add this to the top for people getting them for PCs!

    • New OzSales accounts receive Free Shipping on their first order.

Awesome timing, thanks - my kids wanted me to get a third controller for our Xbox One S. Was already a member, otherwise I'd have used your link.

    Cheers Spackbace!

  • Can't even look at it without being a member. Lame.

    • Just use 10minutemail.com

  • Anyone want to use my referral and I'll use theirs?

    • +1

If you already have a referal doesn't that mean you have already created an account?
      Please, no bamboozle.

      • havent bought anything, just made it for the referral link

        • +1

So you will create a new account for referral?
Do you know how referrals work?

would this one actually have bluetooth? it states it does but the model numbers are confusing!
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/297932

    • would this one actually have bluetooth?

What controller are you talking about?

This deal is for a GENERATION 2, NON Bluetooth controller. There is no need to ask the question, it's already been covered numerous times in the posts above.

The other item that you linked to is a different vendor, different product, different deal.

If you have questions about that deal, read the comments on that deal, and post a question there if necessary.

      • -4

I am asking about the one i am linking to as an option that appears to have Bluetooth and something everyone is asking about in THIS DEAL.

  • ozsale takes a month to delivery don't they?

    • Estimated Delivery
      05/04/17 - 10/04/17
Orders are dispatched directly to you from Australia.

    • -1

      sometimes longer. YMMV

    • -1

Previous post (from 21/2) stated this:

      Estimated Delivery
      09/03/17 - 18/03/17
Orders are dispatched directly to you from Australia.

First comments of items received were posted on 7th march.

EC just feels like bad-mouthing this post, for whatever reason I don't know.

But proof of postage time is right there in the last post.

      • -1

        YMMV

Some people haven't received them yet. Hence reference to YMMV

    • Took about a month for my Elite controller I bought last December (It being faulty out of the box and having to be returned is another issue)

      • Just got an email from OO.com.au (sister site of OZsale) after 3 months, they have decided that they aren't delivering the controller to me.. After multiple failures, I'm no longer buying from OO.com.au, Ozsale or Deals Direct.

  • Bought in the last 'sale' and got Gen1 controller with no 3.5m jack :(

  • headphone jack makes no difference for PC users right?

    • it can still be used on a pc… meaning you can hook up your headphones to it and set it as your audio device…

      • The V1 controllers had terrible shoulder buttons (bumpers) that were quite uncomfortable to use, so much so that I went back to the 360 controller for pc usage. Where as the V2 rectified this issue, still for a little bit more I have been happy with the V3 "S" controllers as they work with bluetooth and really well with steam link. Its all personal choice really.

      • it sends audio via wifi essentially turning your headphones into wireless headphones?

        • +1

          yep :D

    • Nah, just plug into the port on your comp or speakers instead ;)

  • is this the same controller that comes with the xbox one s (bought in dec from eb games)? i have no idea if my controller is the new one or not.

    • +1

No, they're not One S controllers, they're the version before that

Still compatible with your console though
