"We can’t wait to delivery your order, we will provide tracking details very soon"

I am not sure how long you hope to continue to string along the three of us who cant wait for the delivery of our order, we will provide chargeback details very soon…

What now? Sniffer Dogs ate my tracking number?

Soon must be another 78 days, I Put in a Paypal Dispute. No longer a Joke.

The items arrived in the country 10 days ago but still not posted out..
    Top seller with good comms.

Amazing to think how many people jumped on this noob seller. He didn't even have the decency to come on here to update.

I'm convinced that the photos were not taken by him. He is a slight kid and the legs on the guy with the Chinese phone look nothing like him.

Still, it has kept me entertained for over 10 weeks now..

    • +1

      Smashed,
100% Agree. PayPal are useless, I dont know why they have not Closed his account. I would have thought a New Business running on paypal would have been Limited…until proven Delivery Succeeded. Long Delivery times like this is BS.

    • +4

Customs is prolly asking him to provide safety certificates for commercial quantities of electrical goods?

Or his ran out of cash and the logistics company is holding onto the stock until he pays?

      Could be anything o_0

        omguleh,
I thought Aliens may have taken shipment, until he get probed by Paypal. Paypal has had many Claims, mine Included. They will want their money back. Hopefully they have Seized shipment. Hope you are Reading this RoboGuy. We are Pissed

    • +4

haha yep this guy is definitely one of a kind. it's already been almost a month since i got my refund and people are still waiting. I keep coming back to see if anyone has actually received the item but every time there's more twist to the story lol

      • +2

you same as me. I keep poking my self in to check status and nothing positive so far, but my refund and new cheaper vacuum from other deal has finished cleaning 12 times scheduled a day.

        • Perumal, Congratulations. My GF Ordered hers, and had it in her hands within a week. She rings me up and says she is Vacuuming :)

  • +2

PayPal seized his shipment haha probably i believe that!

IMHO, i don't think he's a bad guy. I still think that he's trying to be a good honest reseller, but he doesn't have enough experience on doing this type of business (dealing with supplier to get item on time, dealing with competitors, Aus custom, and other hiccups.). Unfortunately seems that his business didn't go as planned. The stock has been overtaken by competitors, hence the delay. And i bet if everyone refund the items, he's gonna be in a deep trouble. I would assume that he won't have enough money to cover the refund on this big bulk transaction. I can imagine if i'm in his position. Its a good prospect for a startup business, but tough to compete with bigger reseller.

One of the solution for him to save himself is to try to communicate more with the clients and try to compete with other competitors by matching the price (by give some refund as a discount). This way, he can save his a$$ and he can try to convince people more to wait for a little more. It's a win-win for everyone. (not so win for customer due to the delay, and not so win as well for him due to less profit. but better than big loss & end up in debt or defaulted)

I'm not related / associated with RG at all. Previously I bought one from RG through paypal as well from this post. I have dispute the transaction and ask for refund since 22/7. my refund got approved yesterday, and also, i've received the vacuum from his competitor as well yesterday. While typing this, i can see my vacuum is working at the moment. It's a good vacuum, btw.

To RG, all the best with the business, but unfortunately for this transaction, i have to pass and dealt with other reseller. Maybe next time, sell product from local stock or stock up first before you sell to give customer a good impression with reasonable / fast delivery / good service. Bad impression will put customer away from you. I think what matter most on this type is business is recurring transactions due to good reputation.

    • +10

      "IMHO, i don't think he's a bad guy."

Disagree. If things don't go as planned, you need to communicate with your customers, not tell porkies and disappear.

The reason I don't agree with you is that he reached a decision point when he found out the products never originally shipped. He would have had the opportunity to take a refund and place a new order, so the right thing would have been to updated his customers, offer a refund to those who wanted it since he would not meet agreed delivery timeframes, and replace a new order for those who did want to stay on. Instead, he was greedy, and chose to proceed as he did, knowing he already had everyone's money. Hold him accountable for the decision he made.

    • +2

Me too! Well at least that is what the email says.

The track my order button has no link associated.

The tracking link next to it fails.

The tracking number given doesn't exist yet on the couriers tracking site.

      • +1

You're right BaryGusey, maybe I spoke too soon?
No link to tracking, quick check of Fastway tracking site and the parcel doesn't exist.
I hope this isn't another Roboguy pile of BS

        • +1

Lets just close our eyes and imagine this as an intent to ship any day now.

P.S. - I've heard there is a free eyepad for the one millionth visitor to the roboguy site.

    • blibster, You are the Only one. Mine still says Unfulfilled. What courier Company is he using?

      • +1

        Fastway

        • +1

BaryGusey, Thanks. I hope its not an Empty BOX. Warranty wont be worth shit for this Item. He has Deliberately dragged this out though Paypal. Does not answer. Could have been resolved easily. RoboGuy. You sux.

  • +1

Has the T&C's on the Roboguy site been updated lately?
Was there always a section on 'Right to Withdrawal'?

    • unco,
Dont Know. Some say they were earlier. I never thought to copy and save. I used his Terms and Conditions against him. He never Responded. "You may cancel the order if a delivery is delayed for more than 30 days and the delay is not due to you" See RoboGuy…I can read :)

    • +1

Yes it was there on the 31st July, I saved a copy of the page as of 31st July. But this part is related to when we received the order.

  • +1

yeahh i got the email and number but the tracking number does not exisit on fastway yet.

    • bigkev07,
I am hoping he does not post mine, Paypal gave him till 6th Aug to respond. Maybe I did not pay the extra $5

      • +1

what is ths extra $5 dollar? registered post? haha. well if the tracking number becomes valid in the next 2 days. then i think we are half way there.

        • bigkev07,
lol, maybe every one else is getting theirs delayed, by one day. I will Video, my box Opening. For my Protection. If it Turns Up, It will be the Longest Delivery ever for me.

        • +1

@megod: i think it will be the longest delayed for most people here :P

    • +1

Has the fulfillment status on his website updated?

Im still waiting on an email.

    • +4

Just a note, in general when doing large fulfillments via Courier, most companies upload shipments by batch, which means while you might have received a tracking number, until the shipment is picked up in the afternoon by the courier and he scans the manifest, it won't register as valid.

      • +1

I got a tracking number on the 2nd of August and it is now the 4th of August and it still doesn't work, does this mean it still hasn't been picked up?

        • +1

seems unusual for it to take that long. usuallly it should work overnight

        • +1

If it hasn't been scanned after a couple of days it hasn't been picked up, through this in itself is not super unusual, many companies print off massive amounts of labels when they are shipping a single product. So if you have 150 customers who have ordered the same thing, you might just print off 150 labels beforehand to be prepared.

        • +1

          @Cronium:

I have seen cases where a seller does this so that they can mark item as "Shipped" on eBay or other market places

        • +2

@enander: I can't imagine our very own roboguy would ever stoop to such levels.

          Viva la robot!

  • +4

I got off the Robo train over a month ago, but kept lurking as the rubbernecker in me wanted to see what happens. Please post a pic if you're first to receive it.

    • +2

Make sure you have your legs showing in the photo.

      • +1

Yes, that would be incontrovertible proof of a trip to Hong Kong. No need to scan a passport.

  • +4

Just out of curiousity, is this post becoming one of the longest running/largest one to date?? Anyone knows?

    • +1

We're a speck compared to this one

      • +3

Well actually, that conversation went on for 66 days, we are still going after 87 days!

        • +2

It took 84 days to ship my items door to door by sea from England to Sydney..

        • +1

@smashed: I've got a pair of VR Goggles sitting here that took closer to a year (it was the next year when it arrived but closer to six months) to get here after a couple of false starts from Gearbest.

          EDIT: Ordered July, arrived January.

I think it's a forum post not a bargain thread so probably doesn't count. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/211479#comment

      • BlazinPast,
        Wow

    • +1

well i'm still receiving emails and reading the comments even though i've gotten a refund and bought elsewhere. There are 54 subscribers still on this thread so i'm sure most people are doing the same too. hope everyone who's waiting will get their hands on their robovac soon! :)

  • +2

Could've made a huge profit. But a lack of experience in dealing with suppliers plus pretty bad customer service has become his downfall.

  • +2

Still no scans on the Fastway tracking number provided. What a tits up haha.

  • +2

I'm still waiting on an email with tracking details….

  • +2

Probably just generated labels and the units haven't been shipped out/collected by the driver yet. Taking his time on this too ey lol

    • +3

Maybe he has yet to secure enough supplies from the gearbite deals.

  • +2

So did anybody take up the recently emailed warranty upgrade options?

    • +3

I laughed and thought complimentary extended warranty would have been a nice gesture.

      • +1

Sending me my robot I paid for three months ago would be a f*#$ing nice gesture.

Apologies for the language, I am feeling a bit cross today. I really really believed I would have my new robot friend for the weekend.

        • +1

No need for an apology, we are all quite frustrated.

Ive just raised a dispute with PayPal.

  • BaryGusey, extended waranty is not needed in Australia. We have statue warranty. Besides, would you want RoboGuy to get more commission on some thing he has so far failed to Supply.

    • +1

Oh, I didn't mean to imply I was considering it as a worthy option. I just couldn't believe the email was sent at all.

      • +1

BaryGusey, Maybe Extended warranty money was going to be used for the postage. We should have all received Item by now. Cannot wait till the 6th August. Last day for paypal Dispute.

  • +1

I got a tracking number that doesn't work at the moment… Which ends in 595.
Did anyone get a working tracking number?

  • +1

Does he have to pay gst etc to release them or do AUS customs let him pay anytime?

  • +1

Have now had tracking number for 2 days and it's still not showing up on Fastway couriers. Is this a fake?

Merged from Roboguy Fiasco - Paypal Review case ruled in his favor?

    Hi guys,

Sad day for justice. Of all the people who lodged payapal disputes against Roboguy's XiaoMi Vacuum Robot deal in May I seem to be the only one who lost the case in favor of the seller. Absolutely ridiculous, I'm hoping someone here will know what to do. This is the email I received from Paypal today:

    Dear Prothean,

Thanks for your patience during our review of this case. Your seller has provided shipment tracking information in response to your claim. We used the shipping company's online tracking service and found that the item was delivered to you. As a result, this case has been closed in favour of your seller."

That's it. No tracking number (its not included in the case either). I have a feeling the seller falsified this as I sure as hell haven't received it and I never got a tracking number. Is anyone able to help please? Thank you.

Edit: Another thing, my order status currently reads as unfulfilled on his website…soooo yeah pretty suss. Thanks again, guys.

    Cheers,

    Protean

      • +1

What if he sends them the same bs he sent paypal and they rule in his favor? It would be great if I could get a hold of the tracking number but neither of the numbers connect when I try call paypal:

        Call us
        1800 073 263 (toll free)
        +61 2 8223 9500

        • +2

Alternatively, lodge a complaint with www.fos.org.au and you should get your money back.

        • +1

Email PayPal and ask for a contact number. They will 100% refund you once you explain

    • How long ago did you open your case? I think those who have only opened a dispute in the past couple of weeks have waited too long for Paypal to action in time. Paypal will need to go through their processes, and within a couple of weeks, Robotwat should have valid tracking numbers (assuming his entire operation isn't a sham). If Paypal can verify valid tracking they will likely side with the seller. This doesn't mean you are screwed. I would refuse delivery and ask for a refund then, as per his T&Cs. Should he still not respond, then CC chargeback.

However, in your case, clearly nothing has been delivered, so the clowns at Paypal f-ed up. Just a thought, but I remember in one of my calls to them in early July, they said they had a valid tracking number provided by the seller, and thought this meant it was being drop-shipped from hong kong. I had to explain to them that it was not a drop-ship transaction, and the shipping number was only for a cargo vessel being shipped to the seller. This helped change the conversation, because the person simply made some assumptions about the tracking number. I wonder if in your case they are looking at the cargo ship tracking number and see that it has arrived (e.g. delivered)?

  • +1

Paid for air purifier and priority shipping, still nothing in the email about delivery. Raised PayPal dispute. Have had enough of waiting.

  • +1

Guys, Paypal actually ruled in his favor:

    "Dear Prothean,

Thanks for your patience during our review of this case. Your seller has provided shipment tracking information in response to your claim. We used the shipping company's online tracking service and found that the item was delivered to you. As a result, this case has been closed in favour of your seller."

    What a joke, I can't believe this.

    • +1

      Wow, how terrible. :(

      • +4

I've lost all faith in humanity. If anyone needs me I'll be at KFC drowning my sorrows in bouts of $10/15 Wicked Wings.

    • +1

Did you get the actual tracking number? Try contacting the shipping company and ask for the relevent delivery address and see if it matches yours.

    • +1

Call them and explain, ive had cases reopened and have subsequently won them once i called them and explained

  • +1

Two full business days since receiving the email stating item has been shipped and still no scans from fastway. This has now crossed the line from really really bad business to fraudulent behaviour and I have now (finally) started the paypal dispute. Hope everyone else that has been too lazy to do the same finally does now before it's too late.

  • +1

I've also just filed a dispute last week. Roboguy not answering email re: refund request as per his own T&C. And to think I was sympathetic to him for a while. Very poor form, robodude.

  • +2

disgusting for both paypal and Roboguy.
but then again i can't resist saying i told you so. Everyone should have acted as soon as possible. every day your money is with a fraud like Roboguy, you are exposed to risk.

  • +1

Finally some movement on the Fastway label. It's… at a depot.

    http://imgur.com/a/XGAIM

    • +1

Not for me - scan still doesn't exist, and I paid the extra five bucks. I was one of the first that got my tracking number on the 2nd of August though so there is that.

Need another category - Tracking Label: PRINTED.

      • +1

I've had instances where the tracking hadn't registered or updated until after the item was delivered.

    • +1

      They will both be relieved.

  • Has any one recieve a tracking number while they have a paypal dispute in progress? Wondering is this just delay tactics. I still have no tracking number

  • +2

Mine arrived from Roboguy last night, easy to setup and currently cleaning the house. I forgot all about it so was curious when a huge parcel arrived. It's very high quality and does a great job. Very happy with the vacuum, not so much with how long it took to arrive.

    • martology,
      Does it have Australian Plug?

      • +1

Yes it came with a separate longer black Australian cable as well as the original cable. The original cable is very short so I was happy with the longer one that reached the power point.

Has anyone had to do a credit card charge back on him? I might consider this if the good don't arrive next week. My house is in a very messy un-vaccuumed state.

    • +4

I still believe Roboguy is genuine, just inexperienced and not had to deal with typical supply chain errors. Communication D——-.

As mentioned above by another poster tracking codes are generated at label printing stage and not when actually picked up. I have had plenty of items turn up before tracking becomes active in the past.

A few have done paypal reversals, a few chargeback on creditcard. You'll get your money back but never the time.

      • +1

Thanks @barygusley, I assume the same but it was worrying that his tracking didn't work! I am going to look like a phool if this thing doesn't arrive.

  • +1

Just thought i'd share my experience.

I lodged my case 21/07 and automatically got escalated to a claim.
They gave Roboguy until 31/07 to respond.

Just called PayPal today and didn't even have to say anything and PayPal closed the case in favour of myself.

In the meantime, I bought 2 from gearbyte and they came within the week..

    • +2

Ah, that's a good one. I gave him until the 27th etc as per the initial email. I am still a noob when it comes to scams like this. Live n Learn.

  • +2

I keep coming back out of interest hours this debacle is unfolding. Glad to hear someone has received their robo Vac are least.

I'll just leave this feedback link here for anyone who wish to share their opinion about Roboguy (so far this link has been seen by 600+ people, hopefully preventing a similar scenario as ours)
