I am yet to receive my simcard, due to "multiple users in the same address" which was not true. Most likely I'll receive it late next week. I hope I won't miss out on the cash back.

    • You'll be fine.

Offer ends June 30, but activation beyond this date is still ok as above.

Therefore, because you ordered before 30 June and activated after, it's all good.

  • On chat with Yomojo about log in issue & told
"I'm sorry to tell you that the sim was cancelled because the cash rewards promotion already expired.
For more enquiry about it you can contact Cash rewards."

    Oh boy!
Just received sim & was trying to activate.

    Shit - fan - hit

    • Hi Infidel. I've just grabbed a screenshot of this and emailed our affiliate partner and Yomojo. Don't appreciate incorrect information being given out to our members. Will keep you posted.

    • Continued…
What? On chat on 29/6 was assured that it qualifies.

      Matt
"I'm sorry but the sim is a promotional sim that we agreed with Cash Rewards. It is included in their terms and conditions. If you want to dispute this, you can contact cash rewards."

  • We had the same issue with their SIM delivery. Finally got them to send the SIM, so hopefully will get the cashback approved soon… Not a good start for them, by annoying their customers.

    • Considering the response I just got…
Told I'm no longer their customer!
Was wanting to log in to activate SIM but was told it has been cancelled. I only just received it due to their stuff up😠

These guys need to look at the core point of creating a promotion. IE to spread product knowledge create and retain new customers and the most important: brand goodwill.
It used to be generally held that every poorly treated customer would directly negatively influence at least eight potential sales. That was in the pre-internet days - pull that shit these days with the supercharger effect of forums such as OzBargain, well they just told god knows how many tens/hundreds of thousands of people.
At a high visibility time, such as an online promotion, it is extremely important to leave every customer happy or with their problem solved as much as possible because the ease of publicly sharing negative experiences.
They dont want to walk out of an expensive promotion having customers generally thinking less of the company than they previously did.
        Not smart at all

  • +1

Just my suspicions… Which needs confirming or refuting!

Yomojo may have cancelled all SIMs & accounts not activated by last night. That's when reports of not being able to log in started. (Still can't log in on both family accounts, told by chat that is because they've canceled SIM as don't qualify for this offer.)

If so, if we didn't activate within 7 days of end date of promotion, Yomojo consider us ineligible for this promotion we paid for.

Some of us only just received our SIMs (or are yet to receive them) due to their system error (eg previous Yatango account, more than 1 SIM ordered for household, etc).

I received reassurance on chat on 29/6 I would qualify, despite SIM being delayed.
I warned there may be issues for those not contacting Yomojo asap - about their failure to send SIM.

Hope I'm wrong in this case ;-(

    • If they cancelled your sim then they need to refund you in full.

      • Getting a refund is not why we signed up to this deal!

Of course they would have to refund as Yomojo has cancelled a service before I could use it. Getting my own money back is no consolation.

But that cancellation was based on a failure to meet t&c, despite Yomojo failing to notify why orders were placed on hold due to their system. In that case, Yomojo delayed SIM delivery until we complained. Disqualification due to their error & delay is unacceptable.

A refund would be a complete waste of my time complying with their t&c of this promotion. Yomojo incorrectly say I failed to comply with the t&c (apparently due to their delay in sending SIMs) so am no longer a customer. I now miss out on Cashback. TA is not happy.

I have been assured by Yomojo this would not happen. I kept a copy of the chat & posted most of it here. So I have that leverage.

Yomojo & TA are looking into it.

        • Infidel, nice to bump into each other again (we often do in these SIM/Data deals) :)

Similar problems here. I ordered 4 sims. I took a different route though, my gut was telling me Yomojo aren't so trustworthy so I pulled the pin and requested refunds on 3 of the sims which didn't arrive (same household issue).

The 1 that arrived I've been in touch with TA and CR and will hopefully still qualify as I don't believe I've done anything at my end to disqualify eligibility. Dealing with that headache multiple times is more than I could handle. Best of luck to you, I hope it all works out in the end. I just don't trust the company anymore and won't do any further business with them regardless of how much cashback is on the table.

Question for you: How did you go cancelling auto-renew? I don't trust the "auto-topup" which is already at 0. I'm on hold now, going to request they do it. What a terrible company, I tell you what I'd be happy if Yomojo was banned from OzBargain until they lift their game. Everything about these hacks spells disaster right now. They even count minutes differently to the rest of the world, that chat window has been saying I'm 1st in the queue with 2 minutes remaining for over 10 minutes. I'm guessing they have a staff of 1 in their call centre which is some guys home computer room.

        • @Click_It:
Ah, Click_It, I remember you well.
Pity we meet under such unnecessarily horrible circumstances for some of us :-)

      • No refund!

        • What did they say? It's illegal to take your money and refuse service.

        • @demiurge:
See chat to Markness05 - it is not refundable upon signing up. I have not been personally told that.

I want what I paid for, not a refund anyway - even though this seems the worst possible service provider!

With SIMs - they do expire with no refund. But that needs to be communicated to the customer before purchase!

not refundable upon signing up is probably in standard t&c. We had to agree to those at sign up. So we all read those…

But no expiry date "7 days after SIM is sent" or 7 days after Promotion end date of 30/6 (Yomojo seem to think there is) in this Promotion's t&c! Guess Yomojo doesn't read t&c either!

  • My SIM didn't automatically activate… annoying. Used their chat serviced and the operator manually activated it for me. All sorted.

    • +1

I had the same frustrating problem. Got an email today saying I haven't activated. Started my day in a bad mood. I raised an 'assertive' chat window and got a very vague answer, they wouldn't discuss the "auto activation" feature at all which was sketchy in itself. They then said I still qualify for the promotion but I think that was just so I'd end the chat. As because of them I'm now outside of the 7 day window. I saved the chat transcript. I also raised a ticket with CR and provided both my invoice + transcript. It felt like Yomojo have moved the goal posts.

I actually ordered 4 sims only 1 arrived, they explained the reason being their systems detecting multiple accounts to the same address. Well that's their loss now because I individually requested refunds on all 3 of those SIMs after hearing them make multiple attempts on each sim to "ship it to me immediately", nope they had that chance and blew it.

It looks like I'll qualify for the $35 cash back and also get the $45 refund on the other 3 sims. Lesson learnt, I'm never dealing with Yomojo again.

EDIT: I see you edited your post. Activating wasn't a problem for me, I manually did it myself this morning. My issue was I was now outside of the original 7 day window to qualify for the CR component, after relying on their automatic activation to do its job. You most likely will need to watch this too.

      • I also relied on their automatic activation. There was no OPTION to allow you "MANUALLY" Activate. Only now has it been enabled. Very pissed. My sim is activated and I can see $35 pending in Cash Rewards… If I don't get it I'm contemplating doing a chargeback/paypal dispute.

  • My SIM / account has been cancelled for "failing to meet offer t&c"…

    But I met all t&c:
    New Yomojo customers only
Yes (May have been on Yatango database from 2013 after Yomojo took over)

You must order a new SIM (not a replacement SIM)
Yes ordered new SIM on 23/6.

You will receive the SIM within 3-5 business days
Yomojo delayed delivery until I complained
    SIM shipped 30/6, received 4/7

Upon receipt of the SIM, you have up to 7 days to activate it
Auto active was set by me as 7/7, after SIM sent showed 10/7, can activate by 11/7 under this condition.
Was trying to activate today 7/7 but can't access account as it's cancelled.

Offer ends June 30, but activation beyond this date is still ok as above

    All conditions met.
Was told to contact CashRewards as had not met t&c.

This company is disgusting. They move the goal posts to suit their own needs. Worst experience ever on OzBargain. I feel terrible for TA is getting caught up in the middle through no fault of his own, nor Cr's.

      They've screwed me equally.

      • I think they didn't expect the response here, pulled the plug early to limit exposure to Cashback, now looking for very dodgie excuses to further limit their exposure. Very unscrupulous.

Why would anyone now deal with Yomojo?

        • I think you hit the nail on the head.

I hope I don't have to talk to the TIO regarding the refund of the other 3 (never shipped) sims. I'm thinking I might need to consider changing my CC details on that remaining account too. Doing so will kill off any chance of CR cashback but I think that ship might have sailed anyway. I'm not putting anything past these backyard operators.

How does one request a company be banned from OZB? I've never an experience negative enough to want to consider it until now.

        • @Click_It:
Best to wait for this deal to play out. I think TA is working on it.

Banning won't give them incentive to fix their issues. But a serious threat may help.

I helped in the banning of an overseas site. They came back with good 1c deals & us$10 offer to help shut me up as I kept posting warnings on their deals.

Raise issue with the Mods recommending action against Yomojo & the grounds for such an action. This was a popular deal.

Hopefully most won't be affected by loss of Cashback.

        • +1

@Infidel: Wise words. I won't do anything. TA has gone above and beyond, far more than he ever should have had to.

I'm calling it a night. Have a lovely night/weekend. Time to take our mind off this now :)

        • +1

          @Click_It:
Never lose sleep over a deal.
I won't. I'll just get up Yomojo until they change their unconscionable decision.

Already told Yomojo this will be reported to TIO.

Yes, what other Rep sticks around during a deal, then helps resolve issues. That maybe because TA was first & still is first an Ozbargainer. That I am sure must cause TA problems other Reps would never see. They post & run.

  • These incompetents just managed to lower the bar even further.

I asked for them to deactivate my "auto-renew" and he said he can't, I already asked for the account to be deactivated, SIM deleted. That's a load of crap, I asked for 3 different SIMs to be refunded, I asked for THIS sim to be eligible for the CR cashback. I have the transcript saved to prove it.

Now they've cancelled the 1 sim that actually did make it to my house so that I can't possibly qualify for the CR cashback!

I hope this useless company is banned from OzBargain in the future.

    • Definitely ban Yomojo.

TA presented a good deal & done good work helping people get Cashback before. Many will hopefully get their Cashback from CR.

      Yomojo has got to go!

      • The way they've incorrectly deleted my 1 sim that did arrive (I have transcript evidence showing I requested nothing of the sort) tells me I almost certainly won't get the CR cashback now even though, like yourself, I did everything right.

I don't even care about the $35 anymore. Seeing Yomojo banned will be reward enough at this point.

        • +7

Please hold on to your chats Click_It. If your cashback is rejected, open a ticket via CR and I'll personally make sure you're paid, even if it has to come out of my pocket. I've invested a lot of time and effort brokering and then managing this deal, and not going to watch it fall to pieces.

        • +1

          @tightarse:

Will do TA. Thanks mate. I'm going to go watch a movie now, these people have ruined my morning and I'm not letting them ruin my night as well :)

EDIT: And not a cent will come out of your pocket, I won't accept that. I appreciate the gesture. I'm just sorry it came to this with Yomojo. My opinion on yourself and CR has not changed one iota, that's why my +Vote remains. I'm sure everyone else feels the same. Yomojo's screw up, nobody elses.

        • @Click_It:
          Agree.
+ is staying for TA, not for Yomojo.

        • @tightarse:
That's unnecessary & far too generous TA.
As usual you've helped out in deals & resolved problems. A wonderful help to many.

You didn't stuff us around - Yomojo did.
I want blood from Yomojo ;-)

I dislike companies that stuff people around, taking one to court & winning.

          Like Click_It, enjoy your night.
          You're not to blame.
          Yomojo has behaved appallingly

Hopefully most who bought won't be affected by loss of Cashback.

        • +1

@tightarse: Dont worry about it. Yomojo used CR to screw us over. You have always done right by us so your word and efforts are good enough for me. I can live with losing $15 - lesson learnt about too good deals, which is nothing compared to what Yomojo lost in goodwill and potential customers.

        • @naruto128: Hi naruto128. Your money isn't lost yet. Let's please wait and give Yomojo a chance to see if they honour the cashback. I know many already have successfully received the promised money. I've followed up with a couple of emails today and I know they'll be reading these comments with interest. Have a great weekend.

        • @naruto128:
If all else fails, charge back on CC.

        • @Infidel:
Yep I'm not taking tigharse's money. Just hope yomojo comes through… Charge back is in order if all else fails.

        • @R3XNebular:
I always thought you can never get money out of a TightArse ;-)

Tried to activate my sim yesterday couldn't log in for some reason. Today I contacted customer support and they've said my sims expired, been deactivated and I can't even log in to my account. I ordered on the 23rd and I've only had the sim for a few days but the rep said it has to be activated within 7 days or order. I was upset but I deciced to settle for a refund and this is the discussion I had.

    "Yomojo: Hi me!
    How can I help you?
Me: Hey name we were talking earlier but I had to go
    Yomojo: That's right.
Me: I couldn't activate my sim
I'm just wondering if I could get a refund
Yomojo: I'm sorry to know that. Let me take a look again in your account.
May I please have your Mobile Number and Date of Birth?
    Me: ****
Yomojo: Thank you for the information.
Again, I'm really sorry for the inconvenience it has caused you regarding the activation of SIM. I do see here that the promo expired that's why you can't activate it Me.
Me: Yes it's ok, although I think you change the email system since it repeatably took me it would self-activate. I'd just like a refund now please.
Yomojo: I understand that Me but I'm afraid that it is not refundable upon signing up.
Me: are you saying the sim is worthless?
Yomojo :Not really me but I'm afraid that the order was withdrawn because of expired cashreward promo
Me: what is the worth of the sim?
yomojo: I'm afraid that sim is worthless since that should supposedly registered to the number you just signed up before."

So according to yomojo not only can I not get the cashrewards and not only is the sim worthless, but they won't even give me a refund. I know this is illegal, yomojo looking like a scam company at the moment.

    • +1

I think the queue for complaints will get longer as people realise this problem.

Reinforces my suspicion that Yomojo may have cancelled all SIMs & accounts not activated by last night (but R3XNebular just activated through account!)

Similarly told on chat promotion had expired so SIM cancelled when I enquired why I couldn't log into account.

      Forwarded full chat to TA.
      TA is looking into it.

Was told to contact CashRewards as had not met offer t&c, but had met all of them.

      • Man this company has dodgy written all over it.

I already have auto-renewal turned off. Once i get my cashback (hopefully) then can be done with them!

        • Wow definitely looks like a scam now. The amount of people that could not be stuffed to through the trouble of getting a refund will probably earn the more money than the cash backs they are actually doing.. Can't recall if I paid with PayPal or credit card.. Tempted to give the bank a ring depending on how they are going to play this out…

        • @R3XNebular:
          Think only choice was CC.

Yomojo has the following processing fees:
          Visa/MC
          Card Processing Fee $0.30
          Amex
          Card Processing Fee $0.45

          Think will have to refund.

      • Mine was already cancelled yesterday morning. I reckon Yomojo has cancelled all sims 7 days after ordering, not 7 days after receiving as was stated in the original post. I'd be happy just to wash my hands of the whole thing and forget about the cashback, but Yomojo won't even give me a refund for a sim card that isn't working!

        • If all else fails, charge back on CC.
But I'd wait until Monday & see what TA has found out.

My SIM wasn't even sent until 7 days after order. SIM was cancelled 3 days after receiving it.

Wasn't a problem accessing account until last 24 hours - 7 days after deal was originally to expire.

Also all inactive SIMs are effectively worthless. But Yomojo can't charge for a service it didn't provide.

The t&c clearly state To qualify for the $35 Cashback, customers must sign up before 30th of June 2017 and activate within 7 days of receipt of SIM.

It says nowhere SIM will expire within 7 days of delivery. But that is what Yomojo is imposing!

It does additionally say Upon receipt of the SIM, you have up to 7 days to activate it, but that is still within CR conditions.

Yomojo must have signed off on CR's offer, so they can't impose cancellation of SIM without that being explained.

Slowly building a case against Yomojo.

        • +1

          @Infidel:
If the SIM cancellation after seven days wasn't clearly specified in the deal T & C, then it is breach of contact with weird made up after the sale rules. Full refund. No doubt about it.

        • @King Tightarse:
Stuff full refund, give me what I paid for - a month of service, Cashback PLUS at least an apology for Yomojo's heavy handed approach to t&c not explicitly stated in the offer.

Telling me I had not met the offer t&c (without telling me which) & to contact CashRewards, when it was Yomojo not abiding by the t&c!!

          Now I'm getting angry!
I've won a court case for refusal of service… the staff member was in tears for refusing me what I wanted. It cost the company plenty. Grrr!

        • +1

          @Infidel:
Yes, there is no way they can keep people's fees and offer nothing. Just ridiculous.
It seems to be a misreading of "Upon receipt of the SIM, you have up to 7 days to activate it"
Perhaps the call centre staff somehow reached the very silly conclusion that accounts become void after this. I cant imagine any company consciously doing this during a very public promotion. Its terrible PR and works against the basic point of having a promotion in the first place.

        • @King Tightarse:
They would not have the authority to cancel SIMs & accounts as happened in my family's case.

It will have the authority of someone senior in Yomojo. My theory

Chat: "I'm sorry to tell you that the sim was cancelled because the cash rewards promotion already expired.
For more enquiry about it you can contact Cash rewards."

I received sim 2 days before it & account were cancelled. Certainly in breach of offer t&c of activate within 7 days of receipt of SIM. Nowhere did it say SIM could be cancelled in 2 days of receipt.
Rather it says Offer ends June 30, but activation beyond this date is still ok as above which I assume is the with 7 days condition.

  • Was only able to activate it now. For some reason the website prior to the hacking had an automated activation set up? I logged in today to find that it had not been activated.

    • You're lucky!
Tried again - Can't log in to activate, or use chat to activate, as SIM has been cancelled for not activating before today. SIM was only sent on 30/6 & received on 4/7.

      • That sucks. Their system is crap. Never auto activated. At least with Amaysim it activated and worked (although prior to receiving it lol).

        • To think we complained about Amaysim's preactivation!

        • @Infidel:

My credit said it would expire today 07/07/2017 now its 5 Oct 2017….

        • @R3XNebular:

Yeah mines changed to an October date too.

  • How do I go about deleting my credit card details they currently have stored. I hope they don't auto renew the plan… Can't find the setting to disable auto renewals for the plan.

    • +1

      Oh, that's in
      Yomojo's User Terms & Conditions

      7.1.1 Hotel California Clause

You can check out any time you like
      But you can never leave!

    • also want to know..

Activated sim about a week ago but still waiting for cashback.. once it comes in, I want my CC deleted.

      • Luckily i used a prepaid visa card and there is no more credit in there

    • I changed my credit card to a debit card, which I'll make sure to have zero balance.

    • Change the details to incorrect ones

  • Am seeking advice on best approach to take to resolve this SIM cancellation issue. Won't post comments until that is in place. Just, that the case against Yomojo does look strong thanks to last night's comments.
"I am just going outside and may be some time"

  • Activated within a day of sim arriving.
This morning I was told the sim never activated "SIM was cancelled due to a breach of the terms and conditions of the promotional offer". Please AVOID this company.

    • +1

You mean they cancelled a sim that was already up and running?

      • I definitely activated it manually myself, however I can't conform if it up and running because I never insert the sim in a phone until today.

        • I noticed that the dashboard would report activation still in progress even though I have received the successful activation email. Well, not sure if I haven't waited long enough (~15-20 minutes) or SIM in a phone being part of the activation but as long as I put the SIM card in a phone and make a couple of test calls, only then the dashboard shows all the signs of an activated service. By the way, all these happen this morning with a SIM card received few days ago so not all CR related SIM cards / services are cancelled.

FWIW here's my [edited] transcript from yester-morning — but in short, I don't care what happens anymore, I'm at peace with it now.

    07/07
    Mobile Number: ***

THEM: Hey there, *** What brings you to Yomojo?

ME: Hi there ***, I'm a little disappointed actually. <snip> Today I discover auto-activation didn't occur. I had to manually do so and now I'm outside of the 7 day period. Was I mistaken and there is no auto-activation feature with Yomojo? I don't understand why that option was there if it does nothing. I feel misled

THEM: <snip> The auto activation date should be 7 days after the sign up, yeah. We have this feature and can be delayed up to 45 days if you do not want to activate the sim card right away. (They didn't answer my question just did a play on my words, they also couldn't explain the dishonest auto-activation feature which I'm guessing did work prior to this CR deal and was probably disabled by someone senior)
Upon checking, you were able to qualify for the promotion

There they are on record saying I am eligible for the promotion.

Interestingly, despite myself mentioning "CashRewards" several times I could not get them to repeat the word once which shows they've been instructed not to do so. Their eventual confirmation is fairly non-descript and I expect they'll simply argue that I was outside of the 7 days T&C (through no fault of my own). But I don't care anymore, the cashback is just a bonus at this point, the real agenda is to be disassociated from these people once and for all.

My plan was cancelled as well… I just went on chat and they said "you must activate within 7 days of us sending out the SIM pack" - despite the terms clearly state it was "Upon receipt of the SIM, you have up to 7 days to activate it".

TA, please email Yomojo and let us know if they'll honour the deal or not. My plus vote will definitely remain because Yomojo messed up, not anyone else, I'm grateful for the effort put into this deal by TA.

Hi tonyhsu. I have confirmation from Yomojo in an email back from when the deal was being put together that activation must occur within 7 days of receipt of SIM, not within 7 days of sending. As you can see from an earlier comment, I've made it extremely clear to Yomojo that their CS team is passing on information that is incorrect and misleading. I'm not taking this lightly. Please be patient with me while I/we (CR) try to sort things out.

EDIT: So you're aware, the T&Cs in the OP were also listed at the very bottom of Yomojo's landing page during the promo…

Promo only applies to the unlimited talk & text plan with 2GB data. Customers pay $14.90 a month for the first 3 months and $19.90 from the 4th month onwards. Only one cashback of $35 per Cashrewards account is permitted.

  • I'm in the same boat. Got the sim from them on 5th of July but Yomojo site has not been working for past two days. Called up the customer care today and the guys puts me on hold after a round of interview! Then he comes back on to say that he wouldn't activate the sim card and happy to order another sim for me. But in any case, the amount that I paid for this connection wouldn't be refunded as I did not activate within 7 days of ordering the sim!

    • +2

Hi gentlecrack and others. Please see my comment above. The agreed Yomojo terms clearly state within 7 days of receipt. When you are in a chat session with them, please emphasise this then take a screengrab of the entire conversation. Hold on to the evidence. Thank you.

      • Thank you tightarse. I wish I could chat up and save the evidence, only if their site was opening up for me. Very interesting as I can't seem to open yomojo.com.au from mobile/home network/ different PCs. But it shows the site is up. Is anyone experiencing this problem?

      • Hi TA

Same situation, my SIM arrived only last Thursday 06/07/17 and I activated it today. It has clearly been lost in the mail somewhere, however I have raised this to Yomojo and have a screengrab of the conversation and reference ID. Please let me know if I need to send this to anywhere.

    • as I did not activate within 7 days of ordering the sim!

LOL, their excuses gets more ridiculous each day. I wouldn't be surprise if they stipulate that previous Yatango customers are not eligible.

Got the response below. Fingers crossed.

    "How's it going?

Upon checking your account, it shows that it's already active.

You don't need to worry because your are still eligible for the cash rewards promo.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

For urgent assistance, it is suggested that you call us at 1300966656 press option 3 or go to our Live Chat.
    Regards"

  • I still haven't received my SIM.. ordered it the day this went up.

    • same here. I had to contact them regarding non-receive, apparently they sent it to the wrong address. They sent out a new one 2 days ago, so hopefully get it Mon/Tues this week. Hope they honour the CR deal

  • My issue is that the sim card was never actually sent to me until I rang them up to find out why. Turns out my address was not in their system, so they couldn't mail out the sim card. Didn't even let me know!

Anyway, I assume because I signed up before June 30, All I have to do it activate the simcard within 7 days of receipt and then I can get the cashback.

This company is completely misleading and I would avoid them like the plague.

    • Dear blissfully unaware,
You obviously haven't read the many comments since I warned about the no SIM issue on 29/6 & especially since my 7/7 comment as this issue got far more serious.

  • Anyone got the cashreward yet? my sim should be auto active on 26/06/2017 until 30/6/2017 it got activate by rep via live chat.

Until now my cash reward still havn't approved.

    • Yes they have.

      • So i should contact TA ?

        • +1

Only raise a support ticket 15 days after activation. Give them 5 more days. Your time isn't up yet.

  • Waiting on response to my strongly worded email demanding immediate reinstatement of cancelled SIM, activation of that SIM, and to ensure CashRewards Cashback is paid. Or there will be action taken against Yomojo.

(I took legal action against one company after discussions failed. Won everything asked for including compensation in an out of court settlement. Guess they saw a court case & media scrutiny would be bad for business.
There was no close precedent for the case, so legal opinion was I was unlikely to win. I put together the case myself.
I was supported by a Government department as the matter was of public interest. Initial support for this case has already been shown.
This case is far easier & may be resolved in other ways. I don't think Yomojo would want scrutiny of how it has handled this promotion. Who would pay to put up treatment like this?)

Email was basically my comments here since 29/6.

I won't discuss the content of the private email at this stage, but will update as things develop.

In previous complaints, I've found combining a written complaint with factual criticism on social media got the company's attention faster. (My scathing review of BCF on ProductReview has been viewed over 100 times in a few weeks.)
    To the social media…

    Scam or incompetent?

No real company could be this incompetent surely. Paid money - no sim or refund after more than a month - service staff only good at delaying tactics.

0 star if I could. Terrible system and service.
    1 out of 5, reviewed on Jul 04, 2017
Sim did not get sent because family members signed up together, and their system detected duplicate orders. WHAT?
What's worse, no notification or alert that they are not sending sims and just waiting for customers to get in touch. WHAT?
A week has passed already by that point.
Then, sim was ordered again, customer service was joke, with condescending tone by a rep called [name removed].
Stay away. The worst telco I've been with

Good to see Sammy J taking time off from Parliament House Bunker to post such a nice review ;-) Might be an Ozbargainer who bought this deal?

Of course there are positive reviews - but not likely from people who have had contact with "customer service" or issues like we've had.

    Similar opinion? Write a review!

Tell them what You really think about Yomojo!

Time for a social media campaign against Yomojo!

-You have no control of your account or monies they take- you can't even tell what type of plan your on, had no way of seeing this in the dashboard, had no way of changing anything regarding the plan, requested the $19.90 unlimited plan with 2G data control but I've now paid over $200 for 3 months of service, on the phone twice to them for over 65 minutes with only a headache and nothing fixed or corrected in my account or monies given back but they did happen to make all the account history disappear.

It's been 2 weeks and my phone is still not connected. Three calls to customer service and I keep getting the same response …… your phone will be connected within 24 to 48 hours. What a joke

Total bush of clowns - extremely bad customer service

You had been warned! NEVER join this provider they are utterly rude over the phone (when they answer), and terribly bad technically. They literally lost my mobile number for days while porting out and said they could not provide the CID that was necessary! It took 10 hours on my end, then with a local mobile shop associate to retrieve it. Bad Bad Bad. And after all this they refused to reimburse my unused month because of course they waited to that the payment renewed before closing my account!

    Received cash back yesterday…Yeah!

    • +1

Unfortunately still waiting for mine. Day 14 for me today :(

    • Thats good to hear - maybe there is some hope for those of us still waiting

    • When did your sim activated?

  • Received response to my complaint to Yomojo.

SIM had been delayed by Yomojo at ordering stage due to problem in their system. Yomojo failed to notify of that issue, waiting for complaint on 29/6 before SIM was sent. SIM arrived 4/7.

Then SIM & account were cancelled without notice on 6/7. Complained but was told "I'm sorry to tell you that the sim was cancelled because the cash rewards promotion already expired.".

    So sent strongly worded complaint.

    Response from Yomojo:
    Jul 11, 11:22 AM AEST
    Hi (customer),
    Thank you
for your message and I'm sorry for the late response, I understand how you feel about the said promotion and how the agents assisted you, I can go ahead and activate the sim cards that you have on hand but I need to give you a new number or we can process a refund if you wished to. Let me know what will work for you!

    SIM now activated email received.

Yomojo gave in too quickly, so I suspect the CR Rep TA was working on our valid issues with Yomojo behind the scenes.
    Thanks TA!

    • Did they say that you are still eligible for cashback?

      • 1 step at a time. Today get the SIM activated instead of cancelled. 1 Done, still 1 to activate - sent another email.

I have demanded Cashback be arranged in my original complaint.
I have today again stated what must happen to fix their major stuff up - including Cashback.
Will remind them of this as they may forget that after activating SIM. In busy customer service - it's easy to overlook a detail like that.

That can take time. If it doesn't appear after 15 days from today - heads will roll at Yomojo ;-)

Website still down for me for the last 3 days. Tried accessing my dashboard through the app, Chrome, incognito and stock browser on phone, none of them work. Not cool at all…

Still haven't received my starter pack yet. Terrible service.

Such situational irony. This deal is supposed to promote them but they're pissing everyone off.

    • You have read Yomojo cancelled SIMs. Can you still log into account?

      • Yep I can.

        • Then SIM likely hasn't been cancelled.
I sent them a strongly worded email & issues with SIM have been resolved for me.

  • After all this time got live chat to finally send out the sim. Can log in still but now the activate sim option is greyed out. This lot are just ridiculous. Can't be arsed any longer highly doubt they would pay up without kicking and screaming anyways. Why agree to this cash back offer in the first place if they were not prepared to go through with it. A waste of time opened a dispute via my credit card company to get my money back.
