  • How does this go with 4K HDR etc etc etc. Or still better with i5?

    • This generation of CPUs support hardware decoding of 10-bit HEVC/H.265 and H.264 video at 4K, so you're pretty well covered. I'm not sure about HDR support. There's some HDMI-CEC support available too.

      The only reason I'm not jumping on the current batch of NUCs is due to them not having native HDMI 2.0; Intel decided to use a DisplayPort adaptor internally and this has caused a few problems for people in Linux-based HTPC/media OSs like LibreELEC.

      • Thanks for the info. Seems like each generation has had some sort of problem with video or audio. Has Intel given any indications if they will do the same with DisplayPort in the the next generation?
