    Theses are quite good

      Did you write a Thesis?

      Jar Jar?

  • +1

Picked up two of these last time they were this low. Outstanding value at this price.

  • +2

FML, I spent 40bucks on the LG PH1 Portable Bluetooth Speaker 2days ago with the pickup 20% off deal :(

Wish I got this one instead

    • +3

So buy this one as well :P It's the Ozbargain way.

      • +12

        Challenge accepted!

  • how do these compare to those small round logitech X50's?

    • +3

Louder and better. I wouldn't bother with the X50s or X100s unless size is your primary motivator.

Though I must say I prefer the brighter tone and increased volume of some of the $35 speakers doing the rounds at Parklea Markets in Western Sydney over the last 12 months, and the Parklea cheap Chinese speakers also have radio and play off micro SD card (though it's difficult to control play order). The speakerphone mic on the Logitech X300 seems better.

Now please tell me what I can do with the multiple sets of speakers I've hoarded ;-)

      • +2

Sell them as used on here. :)

  • +2

Can you start and stop playback with the buttons on the speaker?

This was my main annoyance with the X50 vs the X100 is the X50 does not have play/pause ability whereas the X100 does.

Good one to use the $10 UE Boom 2 credit on. Almost the same price now!

    • I thought that $10 store credit cannot be used on GG eBay store :(

      • It's the same price on the normal GG store and $10 is better than 20% in this case.

    • Did you get Store Credit for the Price error UE Boom at $19? I havent received any communication from TGG whatsoever

      • +2

Yes, almost everyone did. Check your Promotion/Spam tabs.

    • Don't know who neg you, but you are correct with using that $10 store credit. It works out to $29, which is cheaper than this deal. Gives you a positive.

    • What’s the UE boom credit? Anyone has it but not going to use want to share? Thanks heaps.

  • Is the wireless feature just connecting by bluetooth? I can't see anything about bluetooth and just want to check.

Also are these ok to bring down to the beach and leave on the sand?

    • Yes Bluetooth connection.

      • Thanks. I see it in the title now… I swear that wasn't there before or I'm just an idiot.

        • Nah you are not an idiot. It wasn't there before. Mods included it in the title.

Got this one from the last sale. Man, don't let its looks fool you - this thing packs a punch!

Really easy to connect to as well - last house party this was going around the room and people with iOS / Android / Windows smartphones were connecting / disconnecting to this and no one had a problem - genuinely impressed!

    • Thanks Mr sabarli

    • +4

The real question is who uses a Windows phone?

  • Very good speakers

    • 90 sold lol

      • Not at that price

    • hes just doing that so the add doesn't close, always looks better as a seller to have sold heaps then 0

  • +2

I find hard without bluetooth speaker now a days.

Also how difficult is replacing the battery as I dont want to throw once battery life is finished. Bit environment conscious.

    • +5

You could always tie a usb power pack to it for simplicity. If you wanted to replace the internal battery, at worst you would be looking at cracking it open, fudging together your own simple wiring with an equivalent cell from banggood or somewhere, gluing it back together. As an extra tip, storing li-ion batteries at around 50% capacity when not being used for a few weeks/months at a time will greatly extend the battery’s life vs storing fully charged. 1-5 years extra life depending on how much you use it. Just check it periodically to make sure the charge doesn’t drop below 20% or it’ll start to damage the battery. They like being kept around 30-70% charge when practical.

      • How do you know battery capacity on logitech speaker? Is there a display showing the battery remaining?

  • +1

It's unfortunate you can't pair them together… but I ordered two… time to get some raspberry pi zero w's and play!

    Thanks op!

  • This or the UE BOOM for $19?

    • +8

This considering the UE boom was a price error and is no longer available.

    • Link please?

  • Came across these on Gearbest: https://www.gearbest.com/speakers/pp_621648.html

About the same price, if anyone is interested. I've never tried either. This one can apparently be used as a portable charger as well.

    • Anyone familiar with both these devices who can offer a recommendation?

      • +4

        Get both. This is ozbargain.

        • You, sir, are not wrong.

    • +3

There is a newer version: https://www.gearbest.com/speakers/pp_667416.html?wid=21

      Larger battery and larger speakers.

Coupon XMREDSCPN to shave off $2 :)

    • I bought Xiaomi Bluetooth 4.2 Speaker. Sounds pretty decent up against Bose variant. Might try Logitech too.

      • I just bought the Xiaomi 4.2 (probably have to wait a month for it to come). I don't have a need for a second one. Not that I know of anyway.

  • +1

    no stock around me :(

    • Me neither, caved in for postage instead!

  • Thanks OP bought and already picked up from store! Great sounds quality for the price!

  • Better than Logitech X100?

  • Sounds quality is ok for the price

  • +2

This or Xiaomi $30-40 bluetooth speaker, which would have three best sound?

Something like these on specials thought :)

    XiaoMi Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker

    Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth 4.1 Speaker

    Thanks :)

    • +1

I have the 4.0 version. It's much better sounding speaker than x50. I don't have x300 so can't compare but I don't regret having xiaomi.

      • Thanks expertreader for the helpful reply :)

  • +1

Keep your receipt for this. (Edit: ebay records probablly a bit harder to lose)

I had to return mine after a year. Logitech support provided a case number to make sure Oficeworks would take it back. The charge port on the back does not seem to be designed well, my unit stopped charging.

Apart from that good sound and plays loud. The mini boombox was better though, had track seek buttons that are missing on the x300. Bring back the mini boombox!

Just had a couple of beers, and I pulled the trigger.

    • +3

Are these that bad that you have to get drunk before buying them?

  • How's the bass?

    • Not really a bass heavy speakr
Try a Megaboom , but if you really want something good , maybe jbl extreme

If you only want to spend $30 then this is probably up there, for definition, if not volume

Try some of the beats on the Hype Machine App , to really sea

'Digital Animal' z good or 'ole' for mega bass

Sounds better off u-tube too actually, for some reason

  • +1

can i connect this to power permanently?

    • +1

How many eneloops can you hook up in series ?

  • thanks OP, got one

  • +1

Ordered mine thru TGG directly so I could use the UE store credit coupon. The ladies had about 50 ready to go for click and collect so these are obviously popular! Have tested mine and having been using the x50, this is quite a significant improvement! Very happy for the price.

No metropolitan Melbourne stores with stock so opted for delivery.

    Impulse buy… Dam you OZB!

Guys, I need a few good excuses as to why I bought these to tell the Missus!

    • Trick question, you're not suppose to tell the Missus!

      • HAHA in that case, let's hope I get to accept delivery before she does when the item arrives in the post!

        • Well.

          1. If she opens up your mail, tell her that she just committed mail theft since it's illegal to open up someone elses mail regardless who you are.

          2. If she asked what's in the package, tell her that a healthy relationship is all about respecting each other's privacy ;)

  • Anyone found the speaker making noise while playing under low volume? Thinking to get it returned as it's quite annoying.

    • +1

did you try using it on another mobile? or connect it to AUX directly.

      • hmm, I haven't tried AUX, however it makes noise while being paired with both mobiles, and I also tried to pair it with my Macbook Pro and same noise can be heard.
The volume was turned down to the lowest level, as I was playing light background music during work,.

        • okay, i thought it might be a bluetooth issue.

        • @fchis: Will try with AUX cable. However no matter it's a speaker problem or bluetooth issue, it sounds like a defect unit to me.
