More bargains from Lenovo, replication some of the great deals previously posted by TA earlier this month (E570p and E570).

  • 256GB SSD NVMe
  • GTX 1050Ti 2GB

ThinkPad E570

  • Intel Core i7-7500U
  • 15.6" FHD IPS
  • 8GB DDR4
  • 256GB SSD NVMe
  • GTX 950M 2GB

3 year business warranty also at 30% off for $188.65 extra.

Lenovo has been quite aggressive in selling their EDGE series & clearing the stock (low price, adequate performance, no-frills features). It could be that with recent release of Kaby Lake R processors, the new generation of E-series 14"/15.6" laptops might be around the corner. First deals of E470 and E570 were posted in October last year. We'll see.

Better than yesterdays apparent FLASH sale….

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/334843

No it's not. The 570p variant posted yesterday had a 512GB SSD along with a 1TB mechanical hard drive, together for only $200 more, I'd say that's better or at least an equal bargain.

Also not sure why that OzB post linked had it at $1599 for said model. It was $1399 at checkout (mate bought one).

    how light are these things?

    • +2

      Not light. 2.3kg for E570 and 2.4kh for E570p.

Is that the Russian cousin of Len?

Actually it was just truncated due to database column size limit.

With influences as diverse as Alan Kay and Suwa Seikosha, new combinations are generated from both constructed and discovered layers.

Ever since I was a teenager I have been fascinated by the compact nature of technology. What starts out as hope soon becomes corroded into a manifesto of desire, leaving only a sense of what could have been and the prospect of a new model.

As intermittent designs become reconfigured through studious and critical practice, the consumer is left with an insight into the great value of this particular deal, emphasised by the repetition of the word bargain.

  • Does anyone have a e570 running linux and if so, how is it? I don't really game that much, just Football Manager, which is Linux compatible and not that heavy on graphics so that is not a concern - I want to know how it is day-to-day with Ubuntu, Mint etc?

The Lenovo ThinkPad E570 laptop with the components described below has been awarded the status of certified pre-install for Ubuntu.

For E570p, the problem would be with Realtek RTL8822BE wireless. E570 uses Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 which has existing support.

    • Really good. I haven't bothered with optimus (to use the nvidia card) but it should work. I run Gentoo on mine, just be aware not to get the Intel SSD and use XFS as that's instant data corruption due to firmware. Using the Samsung one is fine. There is a random boot lag loading the bootloader from cold boot (20-30s or so) but otherwise I'm really happy with my e570. I'd recommend it and everything works out of the box as expected.

  • hello,

just signed up for this! :P

i will be going overseas by the end of the month, just have a few questions regarding this deal.

    A) is this TRS eligible?
    B) how long does it normally take for the order to get delivered (sydney)
    C) is this better than this:

    http://www.dell.com/au/p/inspiron-15-5567-laptop/pd?oc=a5101…

    or this

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Asus-FX553VD-DM118T-15-6-Inte…

i am planning to upgrade the lenevo e570p deal with 16gb ram and an additional 1tb HD. so i am looking for a comparison not just with the specs but value as thanks.

    • I haven't ordered from Lenovo, but in other posts I think it has taken 3 weeks or more for delivery, so I think you'd be lucky to get before the end of this month.

  • Hmm,

Code doesn't work for the E570 at the Spec given above.

    • Spelt BARGAIN correctly? It should give $807 discount to bring the price from $1779 to $909.

Amazing specs, just be careful all, the thermal dissipation design on this model is terribly bad, till the point if you play any game, it will throttle the speed.

Was going to get this, until I youtubed some reviews, and all were pretty unanimous about it and pretty much that was the dealbreaker.

eDIT: referring to the 1050Ti spec.

    • I was in two minds about buying but the fact it only had a 2GB 1050ti compared to the more common 4GB…

But thats the price you pay at $1200… can't really have your cake and eat it too at this price point for a gaming laptop.

  • Really miss China now. There is a dozen of laptops with GTX1060 at $1200.

    • Do you know any models? that you could link me I want to get a laptop like this

      • Fine. If you are in China now.
https://item.jd.com/3982620.html Hasee is famous for its bargain price and terrible look.
        https://item.jd.com/5270321.html Asus.

Well I found that I underestimated the price. There will be much more choices If you have like $1500 AUD.

        • I'm probably going to get scammed on those websites, I'm probably going to stick with OzBargains

  • Pretty nice deal. I am very tempted. But then I think about Gen 8 processors and think may be I should wait till next year.

  • ahh I was about get this next week and I am kinda new do you know when this model will have a coupon discount? And are there any laptops like this around that can be shipped into Australia in less than 2 weeks?

  • Any chance you could get this price for this week TA? Missed out due to late pay :'(

  • just a note 8th gen will be out very soon

    Already out in USA
