    Some great games in there but typically the people who would want this have already bought a lot of these individually (myself included). Regardless though, if you somehow haven't bought them yet, then it's a great deal.

      Pretty sure that I bought Half Life in about 1999.

      Hard to believe that almost 20 years later they are still putting it in bundles and calling it a bargain.

        To be fair, it's still epically fun to play. For a 14-year-old gamer getting in FPS, for them to grab this bundle, it would be a crap ton of fun for them. And obviously being 14 they wouldn't have played it yet. Maybe they've only played CS:GO before and they don't know the joy of CS Source etc…

      They didn't make dota, they brought dota 2 over from the devs who made the dota 1 mod on wc3.

      They just made it mainstream by releasing it as a standalone game and available to a much larger player base.

    Day of Defeat : Source is a superb WWII multi-playing shooting game ! God knows how many hours I've spent playing this game in the past. Still have a game now and then. There's only one major Aussie server though and it's run by a bunch of control freaks unfortunately.

      I remember playing DoD Source some 5 or 6 years ago, which was still well after release. While I liked the game there was not a lot of people still playing here in Aus aside from this one server that had fairly regular numbers. The admins were terrible human beings though, absolute control freaks who seemed to enjoy looking for any reason to pick a fight with other players in order to kick or ban them. They didn't do it in the funny trolling kind of way, just the playground bully kind of way. I stopped playing as soon as I earned my first temporary ban for some BS reason. Sad to see they are still stuck in their ways!

      If you launch Steam in offline mode you shouldn't have any issue playing local LAN games through CS.

    Is this pack worth buying for me? I hate shooting games or games with senseless violence (it's OK if it is saved for when it's impactful and important to the story, I love 999, VLR, ZTD). I like gaes with story, character development, hard puzzles. I don't play online multiplayer games. The only games out of the list I have played though I LOVE. Portal and Portal 2.

      Portal series is all you need for hard puzzles, and Half Life 2 is all you need for story.
