    • Hi,

You would get H+(3.5G) and 3G speeds in those countries listed.

      Thanks,
      -Aidan

  • Hi Aidan,

    I have a few questions.

Can you please confirm if these countries have 4G:

    • Italy
    • France ( know you've covered this, but one comment says 4G another says 3G)

I assume 4G network in UK?

Will this work in regional/coastal areas? E.g. Amalfi Coast?

Is this the same as the PAYG £20 sim with Three UK?

And finally, are we able to activate in Australia or another country or does it have to be activated in Europe?
And forgive my ignorance, why do you need to turn on data roaming? Is this only when using it outside of the UK?

    TIA :)

    • +1

      Hi Raspberry,

Yes the SIM has 4G in all of UK.

France and Italy will both have H+(3.5G) and 3G speeds.

This is the same SIM card yes!

It can be activated in any of the 71 countries listed!

I hope this answers your questions :)

      Thanks,
      -Aidan

      • Thanks for the prompt responses Aidan!

Can you please confirm if regional/coastal areas are ok?
And does it work off data roaming only outside of the UK?

        Thanks!

        • Any chance of coming back to me soon please? :)

        • @raspberry8:
          Hi Raspberry,

I am so sorry for the late reply! I sometime miss the follow up questions as I have to scroll through the whole thread to find them!

Regional/Coastal areas you may struggle with reception. You definitely won’t get 4G and the 3G connection may drop in and out. But this is unavoidable. There are just not many towers in rural areas.

Yes it data roams outside of UK. But there are no additional charges it just simply connects to a foreign network to keep giving you service.

          Hope this answers your questions’
          -Aidan

        • @SimsDirect: thanks for the reply Aidan! Have bitten the bullet, fingers crossed it works well!

  • +1

I had this SIM on my trip over Nov-Feb recently. Worked well in all the countries I went to (France, Spain, Italy), but you could tell that you weren't prioritised. Sometimes only having 3G available on the same networks that have 4G.

Also I found it impossible to buy a recharge voucher and wish I knew this before I went there so I could have bought two SIMs. All the recharge sites that sold them required you to have a UK address

    • Thanks for your feedback :)

  • Hi Aiden,
Your customer service is fantastic. Thanks for revisting my order. Upvoted.

    • <3

  • Hi Aiden,
I have a few questions to make you earn your money…
    1) Do these sim cards come with UK numbers (allowing us to call another others who have also purchased these sim cards?)
    2) Do we get any allowance in the 3000 mins to call outside of the uk/Europe (such as to call home to Australia)
    3) I'll be going on a cruise to the Balearic/Tyrrhenian Sea (Barcelona/Nice/Florence/Rome) will this sim card work there and will I be able to get 4g/good data speeds?
    4) If we sms Australia, will that count towards the msg allowance or will we get charged additionally? (Through a credit card debit) or will it just not go through?
    Thanks in advance
    4=

    • Hi Pattie,

      1) Yes they come with a +44 number printed on the SIM. (Yes you can use calls between other users of this SI in any 71 countries)
      2) There is no allowance provided for international calls (however you can buy extra credit and use that for international calls)
      3) I am not sure. Mu first instinct would be to say no. You are in the sea away from the towers.
      4) SMSing Australia won't work without additional credit.

Sorry for the late response. Busy fulfilling orders!

      Thanks,
      -Aidan

  • Really impressed with your customer service and how you handle some of the 'sassier' OZBargainers. Just bought my third sim for the week with you. Cheers!

    • Wow thanks Halfthyme!

      Appreciate the kind words :)

And really appreciate your repeat business. Now let me go send out all these SIMs!

      -Aidan

  • Bought one. Will be leaving on 19th April. :)

    Thanks.

    • Thanks! <3

  • How much longer do you expect this deal to last?

    • Hey Kiitos!

      The deal expires tomorrow :)

Thanks for the quick reply, better get my act together!

  • Awesome deal, just bought one - cheers OP!

    • Awesome perry!

Thanks for the support and business :)

      -Aidan

  • Good deal. Can I ask a few questions;

    1) What recharge options are there after 30 days when the pack expires? I plan to be in europe for ~3 months. Would it be better to get 3 sims ordered now and activate another when the bundle expires, or one sim then recharge with a similar bundle for 2 months after? What would this bundle be? If 3 sims are used, is the number transferable from the first to the second and third?

    2) Is there charged or limits on recieving calls or txt?

    3) If a single sim is used, what happens after the bundle expires after 30 days, is the sim only usable as recieve only?

    4) What are the recharge options. Is there packs for data, calls etc, or is the recharge only for PAYG

    Thanks!

    • Hey thereisriceandcurry!

1a. You can top up through the following link: https://www.mobiletopup.co.uk/three - this will you allow to keep the same number. Grab the 20 pound voucher, same deal as what we're offering :)
1b. Alternatively you can purchase x3 SIM cards if you see value in that, but you will have 3 separate numbers. The Number is not transferable between the SIM cards.

      1. You won't get charged to receive calls/texts

      2. It's just a SIM card with no data/calls/texts on it. You will still be able to receive calls.

      3. Refer to 1a, grab the 20 pound voucher for the same deal listed! :)

      Hope that helps!

      -Aidan

      • Aidan you lad. Thanks. Answered all my questions. Just put through an order.

Bonus points question: What is the expiry of the sim once it has been activated and used, but isnt used ongoing?

        Cheers. Happy connectivity

      • Are you actually able to buy credit from there without a UK address/card?

  • ordered 2

        Arrived today

  • After purchasing 2x USA sims on 2/4 received the email today 8/4 about the company cancelling my order. After discussion on social media was informed that they were selling products to the Ozbargain community that they don't actually have in stock (waiting on deliveries from Hong Kong that have been delayed). Due to the popularity of the deal I assume that Op was greedy and oversold thinking they would be able to get more stock in. I understand this is a relatively new business but this is terrible practice and as we leave for the States in a few days won't have time to organise anything else. Would definitely avoid in future.

    • I understand your frustration David.

It is unfortunate that your order was affected by the surge in orders. It is 100% my mistake.

I will take better care next time and manage myself for the surge in orders for future customers. I am human, I make mistakes and unfortunately my mistake has affected you.

I hope you can take the time to understand that, and that I am genuinely trying to learn and build good business practice.

Your order is refunded in full, and if you need some help finding a SIM when you land feel free to ask me.

      Sincerely,
      -Aidan

      • +1

Not good enough on this occasion sorry mate.

Also since you told me you don't actually have any USA Sims to fulfil orders with and are waiting to get them from overseas you really shouldn't list them as 'in stock' on your website which is currently the case.

  • +1

    Unreliable seller.

I bought the US sim with 30% off . Tuesday night I contacted the rep before purchasing to ensure that they would be able to send the sim quickly. The Rep said it would be no problem and that I should get express postage , i.e. 24-48 delivery. I placed my order on tuesday night with express postage (would arrive in Bris at the latest by Monday) and on saturday night got an email saying they were cancelling my order as they didn't have stock.

    • Hey Alex,

I misjudged my stock levels when making that promise to you. It is my fault and I take responsibility.

I am truly sorry I let you down my man. I hope you can understand I made a mistake.

I definitely got excited by the orders coming in and made promises without realising I couldn’t follow through.

As you are leaving so soon I can’t make it to you in time.

Your order has been refunded in full and I am sorry I couldn’t pull through for you.

If you need help with your SIM card when you land please reach out.

      Sincerely,
      -Aidan

Not going to neg the deal just yet, but be warned, he’s so far proving to be terrible at supply so buyer beware

    • Hi Unique,

Thanks for not going Rambo on me.

I definitely agree with you. My inventory management has let some people down. I have had to refund a number of customers who are leaving before the 16th.

I will have to learn from my mistakes here and put a better system in place for the future.

Any feedback and criticism is welcomed.

      Regards,
      -Aidan

      • +1

Yeah, so after sending out spam offering the same product you haven’t even supplied outstanding orders yet at a lower price I’m afraid you’ve well and truly earned a neg on this deal and all future ones. Poor form

        • Hi Unique,

The price has not been reduced, you can see live on the website. It was a typing error.

I had an accidental automated email go out to people who visited my Facebook and purchased. This is why you got an email. I can promise you I wouldn't be stupid enough to send out an email marketing the product you just bought for cheaper, this would be very counter-intuitive.

Again, sorry for the bad start. I hope I can make up for the mistakes in the future.

          -Aidan

  • Aidan,

I placed my order on 04/04 and I am leaving on 14/04. I live in Sydney, can you please advise if I will be able to receive the SIMs before 14/04? Order #2387

If not, I will need to get the refund.

    Thanks

    • Hi Cheaper,

The stock delay is regarding USA and Japan stock. Your order will be with you this week.

      Thanks,
      -Aidan

      • Perfect, thanks

  • Got my order in apparently with just minutes to spare…not leaving for a while, so hopefully the disappointments above are short-lived (for everyone's sake).

  • Hi Aidan,

I would like to bring to your attention the deceptive practice used on your website designed to pressure people into buying.

Following the Go to Deal link. You are presented with the Sim and the fact that there are only 6 left in stock, that number quickly ticks down to 5, then 4 and after sometime to 3.

If you reopen the link in private/incognito mode, the is stock of 6 again. The ticks down to 5, 4 … etc.

In fact, you close the private window and reopen again in private, same thing. 6, 5, 4.

Seems like you have a great product but why resort to these dodgy (cookie based) practices.

    • Hi INem,

Thanks for noting this. I am using Shopify as my hosting platform for the website. There are a lot of features inbuilt with Shopify like this, ones im still getting my head around. This is simply a Shopify application plugin that is supposed to countdown stock as people purchase. When I originally posted there was limited stock so it seemed fitting to set it at my stock level and put a timer on for the deal duration.

I have removed it from the page as you can see. I did not realise it was using cookies to track users and give them false information. Seems I will have to spend some time looking into it to reflect real stock levels (which is what it was doing, I do not know why its changed).

Thanks for your feedback. Its stuff like this that helps me understand how to build a better business.

OzB community has been very constructive in feedback and criticisms.

I'm genuinely not trying to be deceitful, I wish to build a trusted brand/online store so these are things I am going to have to learn and change over time.

      Cheers,
      -Aidan

      • +1

Wow, quickly removed. Good job on that and to owning up to it.

Not sure how an automated and not integrated stock counter is supposed to help you with managing limited stock. It would in fact have the opposite effect and pressure people into buying as the is items disappearing and they may miss out.

        • Cheers,

One thing I know for sure is being transparent with people (including people close to me outside of business) goes a long way and is important for any healthy relationship.

I hope to be able to stick true to this as much as I can!

          Thanks for your comment.

          -Aidan

P.S yeah I agree with you, I have found it to be very counterintuitive. All I need is an app that tracks my real stock level and counts down real time with orders that are placed and cuts off discounted orders once stock is used up. Haven’t found anything yet so I will have to do some looking around.

  • Would you be able to explain the process to add more credit so we can phone and SMS home (Aust) while in EU countries?

    • +1

      Hi Genus!

For sure, all you need to do is go to ding.com - purchase a 20 pound voucher on top of your current bundle. This will allow you to call/text back here in Australia. Rates are as following:

      Calls: £1.40/Minute
      Texts: 2p/Text

Alternatively, you can use the data included within the bundle to use data apps like WhatsApp/Messenger/Skype to contact friends/family back home :)

      Aidan

      • Thanks for the explanation. Is is too late now to get one out to me before the 28th April 2018?

        • Hi Genus,

I would suggest getting express postage to be safe. Standard postage we would be cutting it very close.

It’s up to you, your order will be fulfilled the night of you placing the order and sent the following day via Australia Post with whatever postage you select.

There is no tracking with standard postage and tracking is included with Express.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
          -Aidan

  • Thanks for getting back to me so quickly through facebook messenger. Just put through my order via priority shipping, if you could process it tomorrow that would be great :). Cheers, Jason.

    • No worries Jason! Thanks for your order :)

      • Received today. Thanks!

        • Nice, safe travels!

  • Hi Aidan, what is the speed in Greece and Italy?

Also, I am planning to buy 2, so once in Greece/Italy will I be able to call the other number?

    • Hi Sid,

Greece and Italy will have 3G and H+ (3.5G) speeds.

Yes when you are in Greece and Italy you will be able to call each other up to 3000 minutes.

      Hope this helps!

    • If I was going to France for 3 months, would I be better off getting a SIM from a French provider? I don't think having a UK number would be a good look :-(

      • If you are going to only France. It may be better to wait out and see whats there. I actually don't know too much about French teleco's so I can't give you a recommendation unfortunately! The UK number won't be an issue for you as all European countries can call each other at local rates. So it's up to you!

        Hope this helps :)
        -Aidan

    • Do you have anything for Thailand?

      • +1

Not currently, We will be bringing in new products periodically over time based on feedback people give us.

All I can suggest is subscribing to our OzB company page so you can keep updated with new deals. As soon as we have tested a Thai SIM we will post it on here.

Thai SIMs are very cheap so if you can't get one from us before you go, I would recommend DTAC or AIS. They both have a 'traveller' SIM range that works for short stays and has good data speeds.

        Hope this helps!
        -Aidan

    • If I am in the UK can I ring Australian numbers and use the included minutes?

      • +1

        Hey Martology!

Unfortunately not, the calls/texts are to UK/EU numbers only.

I'd recommend to use data apps like WhatsApp/Skype/Messenger to contact friends/family back here in oz :)

        Hope that helps!

        Cheers,

        Aidan

        • Thanks for letting me know.

    • Are Sims bought locally in Europe specific to their region? Ie. I am planning to travel from Amsterdam down to Athens and wondering if Sims in Europe would be region-locked.

      • No. I've used this sim all over europe before. If you're talking about a local sim, also no. They have roaming laws that allow you to use a sim anywhere.

      • It depends on the product you purchase! and the carrier.

ThreeUK are definitely the leading Teleco in Europe who are doing Travel Roaming SIMs. There are carriers following suit (due to law changes) however I am not sure about getting one in Netherlands that would work in Greece also.

You would have to wait and see.

        Thanks,
        -Aidan

        • Thanks! Once activated, how long is the validity of the sim?

        • @kza2610:
The SIM will last 30 days once you activate it (put it in your phone and it connects).

          Thanks!
          -Aidan

        • @kza2610: This bad boy will last you 30 days once activated :)

    • How come you're suggesting ding.com instead of mobiletopup.co.uk. Did you realise that mobiletopup.co.uk does not allow non-UK cards?

      • Hi vee,

We actually got recommended to them and tried them out on a few of our SIMs. I was really impressed, they even have a really nice app you can use too. Which makes it easier. So Ding > Mobiletopup.

I am still convinced AUS cards work with Mobiletopup as I have done it before. It could have changed recently I am still not sure. None-the-less, Ding is much better!

        • Interesting, I'll give them at shot.

          • @vee124: Nice! Let me know how it goes.

    • Do you have anything for mainland China?

      • Yes!

You can check it out here>

Let me know if you have any questions about it!

        • Do you have one that is for 1 month? The sim you have linked me to is only valid for 7 days after activation.

        • @as01:
          No unfortunatey I do not.

The SIM I have is more suited for short-term travellers. If you are staying for a month I would recommend waiting until you land to find a SIM. The main service providers in China are China Unicom and China Mobile. Both are reliable.

          Hope that helps!

        • Thank you!

    • Why would you buy the USA sim over this one? This one appears to offer 12GB and the US sim you have only offers 3GB. Am I missing something ?

      • hi Cj,

The USA SIM comes with unlimited calls/texts and has much better speeds on the T-Mobile Network.

This SIM roams on 3G/3.5G Speeds in USA. And doesn't come with calls/texts as it is a UK/Europe SIM.

Hope that clears it up for ya!

    • Planning to go to europe sept 2019 lol. good to buy now?

      • Yep! Go for it - no shelf life ;)

    • Discount applied in shopping cart but when I go to pay via PayPal full amount gets charged.

      • Same issue

      • Hi andy,

Hmm I've just gone through checkout myself and it seems to be working. Perhaps try refreshing?

Give it a shot and let me know how it goes!
        -Aidan

      • Ah I figured it out! Did you click the PayPal button on the same page as discount code?

It seems if you click that button it doesn't pick up the discount code. Whereas if you go through the full process (ie. Fill out details and go to payment methods) It does work!

Give that a try and let me know how you go.

    • Leaving for Vietnam and HK next Thursday. If I order today, will I receive them before I leave?

      • Hi Josu,

You will be perfectly fine. Unless the SIMs get returned to sender or the Postie gets mugged.

Just double check your shipping details before you finalise your order and preferably a residential address.

        Cheers,
        -Aidan

        • Thanks Aidan.

Just want to confirm this Europe SIM will work in both HK and Vietnam (on roaming)? Will only need the data (understand the call/sms is only to EU number).

          • +1

@z10cvbnm: Yes it will work in both!

You will get 4G in HK and 3G/H+ (3.5G) in Vietnam.

            Thank you!
            -Aidan

    • No problems with roaming? I.e activate in UK then fly to Estonia a week later?

      • Hi Shane,

No problems, the SIM is designed for that!

        -Aidan

    • Do you have the rates that a recharge would be?

      • hi Jned,

A recharge will cost you 20 Pound. It's slightly cheaper to buy a few and use them back to back if you don't mind switching mobile numbers.

        Cheers,
        -Aidan

    • You say 'Hotspot/Tethering is allowed! Mobile only' Does that mean I can't use my laptop to connect to my mobile hotspot?

      • Hi Kiss,

You will be able to tether to your laptop. What I mean by 'mobile-only' is that the SIM can only be used inside a mobile device. Maybe I should change that…

        Haha, hope that helps!
        -Aidan

        • Thanks for confirming. I got one to use in Germany!
